I am new to this message board so first of all hello everyone. This board has so much good information. My family is leaving for dw April 17th. How am I ever going to make it. I am going with my dh & ds who is 5. We are staying at the POP. I have made my ADR's. I didn't not know that there was this much planning to do. I haven't been to DW since they opened Epcot, my dh since he was 6. Any advice would be welcome.

We are now 25 days out and counting down:cool1: . We are so excited. This will be our 3rd trip, but the first time since Epcot opened for my IL's. So here's my advice

HAVE FUN!!!
Forget the diet if you're on one :wave2: and enjoy all the great food.
Have a list of things you want to make sure you do
Bring a light weight jacket or sweatshirt for at night as it can get chilly still at that time of year.
DO NOT MISS the night parade and fireworks at MK
Take lots of pictures
See lots of characters (character meals are a great way to do this)
Don't forget to enjoy a little down time at the pool.
Don't forget the addresses for the GP's so you can send them postcards.
Be prepared for a very excited:hyper: ,tired :faint: and sometimes cranky:sad: child
Lastly - HAVE FUN, HAVE FUN, and when you have done that HAVE MORE FUN!!:rotfl2:

Enjoy your trip!

thanks so much for your input dizmom!

we plan on seeing the parade and fireworks at mk our first night.
i am on a diet now so i can pig out at dw
i think we are eating 4 times with characters

thanks for reminding me about jacket/sweatshirt i was kind of wondering about that.
i am bringing a camcorder & camera just in case something to too cute for just photos.

Also i keep reading about bagallinis any advice about what is the best bag to take to the parks. I don't think i would want a big backpack on my back all day.

No problem Neverland Mom;) . I do not have the slightest idea what a bagallini is :confused3 although I have certainly seen enough threads on them. I can't help you there. I use a light weight nylon bag I can just sling over my shoulder. It is big enough to hold what I need but not so big as to be cumbersome or heavy. I take as little as possible with me to the parks and most of what I do take is in travel form so it's small and light weight. It is waterproof too so if we get rained on or go on a water ride everything stays dry. I just bought it at Target for like $15 a few years ago for our last trip and will use it again when we head back on 3/29. What I liked best was it had a small zippered pocket on the outside of the bag that would fit our DW cards and my cell phone so there was no digging around to try and find them:goodvibes . I have no idea how expensive the bagallinis are, you could check some of the other threads on that, but I think you would be fine with a small back pack if you don't want something over your shoulder::yes:: If I can help with anything else let me know:) .

The bagalinni is a great thing!! It's just a simple nylon sling type bag, but I love mine, I got it a couple of years ago. I don't know if they sell them in stores, but I ordered mine from ebags. One thing I do before I pack is make a list and check things off before they go into the suitcases. I am always afraid of forgetting something. If you want to try and include everyone in the planning, go to the dw site, and let everyone look at what is there, and they can pick somethings out that they want to do. Make sure to allow time for buses when going back and forth, we havn't stayed at pop yet so I don't know what type of schedule they run. If you chew gum, take it from home. We also pick up cheap rain ponchos from the dollar store just in case. As far as being at the world, just remember to have fun. For me as a mother, the best thing down there is seeing my children's eyes light up. I will never forget when they saw their favorite characters, for me that is priceless.....and wouldn't you know it, I was so caught up in the moment I forgot to take the picture.

maybe i'll see you at the pop - i'll be there 4/20-22 before switching to the bcv 4/22-27

and yup ive finally started watching my weight again - gained 5lbs over the christmas holidays which hasnt come off yet! want it off so i can gain it back over vacation - lol
