41 annual Academy of Country Music Awards

I'm seeing Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, Sugarland and Carrie Underwood in concert this summer...The same concert talk about amazing..and tonight's show made me even more excited!

Brooks & Dunn!!! :) Goodness it's been ages since DH & I saw them in concert. :) 2nd row aisle seat. We got to go up to the stage for the encore & I shook both of their hands....and touched Ronnie's boot. LOL! It was right there in front of me! That was a great concert!!!

LOVE rascal flatts and keith urban..they both sounded great! although i would have rathered rascal flatts sing without kelly clarkson

Not on on the West Coast yet? At least I can't find it. So did Nicole Kidman show up with Keith Urban? I am SO curious about that...lol.

I don't know what it is about this year's awards, but I've cried like 3 times so far. First, the Big & Rich song 'November 8, 1965'. Ok, I wouldn't call that time crying, I'd call it sobbing.

Second, when Carrie Underwood started crying at the end of her song. You could just tell it had hit her how blessed she was to be there. I shed a tear cause it was so sweet.

Now, the Brooks & Dunn song. I cry everytime I hear that song. I don't know what it is, I am not a very religious person, but that songs gets me.

If they show a long distace commercial next, I'm gonna need counseling. ;)

Or one of the old Hallmark commercials...or coffee (Folger's ??) commercials from the 80's!

I wish Toby Keith had chosen his "Paycheck Friday" song -- not sure if that's the name or not.
The name of the Paycheck Friday song is "Get Drunk and Be Somebody," off Toby's latest album "White Trash With Money."

It doesn't matter what he sings, I'm always happy to see him. Ahhh...Toby.

Was it me or did Sara Evans sound pretty bad, flat and off key? I usually like her but tonight....yuck!

Loved B&R, Brooks and Dunn, but Kelly Clarkson and Rascall Flatts did not sound sgood together and I love that song.

If you like Sugarland, have you noticed that Kristen disappeared? I guess she wanted to "pursue her writing", I sure hope she wasn't forced out because she weighs more that 97 pounds.

Good show overall and ended at 10 on the button, the Oscar producers should have been taking notes!

I was glad to see my favorite Blake Shelton as a presenter. I just wish that he'd sung something.

My goodness, did Ronnie Brooks ever do an amazing job on "I Believe"!!! I was never a huge fan of theirs but that song is incredible.

It was overall a good show but I was sorry that Alan Jackson and George Strait weren't there. I kind of expected to see Garth and Trisha too.

I heard that she quit because she is terribly camera shy. I heard that she's gotten back with them but she will write and record and stay pretty much out of the limelight.

I LOVE Little Big Town! They sounded great unplugged. :)

What was Kelly Clarkson doing at the Country Music Awards? It was just weird and all I could think of was she was jealous of Carrie Underwood.

I know Kristen has stepped back to write and will still record in the studio I guess...but could Jennifer Nettles HAVE MENTIONED HER NAME AND THANKED HER AS WELL!!! I was SO ticked off by this...it was just wrong and ungrateful. And I LOOOOOOOOVE Sugarland.

Ugh!

Not just you. Everyone on the AI thread agreed that Sara couldn't find the right note last night. It was awful! Rascall Flatts sounded great with their first song but when Kelly came out for the second that didn't sound good...and that look isn't good for her either.

I had to chuckle at the post about wanting to be at the AMCA because Carrie was there. Have to admit I wondered what the heck Kelly was doing there too when they announced her name.
