I like both but I think FF is a cut above Narcoosee's. I really like California Grill and Jiko as well.

NOOOO WAY!!!! I don't know who'll be more excited, DD 6 or me We've traveled out to the Aurora Mall twice, but really dislike that option! Super excited. . .thanks!

Yep! Its going into the old location of Forever 21 and will be the first of the new redesigned stores in Colorado. Haven't heard an opening date yet though. PM is much nicer than Aurora Mall.

I would vote FF as you can do Jellyrolls after or stroll the Boardwalk with your family and friends. We loved Artist Point last time, but I agree that California Grill...with fireworks..is a great choice too. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 40 is the new 30.

Other options would be Bistro de Paris, Jiko's and the "le plus magnifique" Victoria & Albert's!!

I live in South Denver....did you hear Park Meadows is getting a new Disney Store?

I hadn't heard that, either! Does anyone else know when is it supposed to open? The one in Aurora makes me sad...and Park Meadow is great! We head there a lot to visit the Lego Store and Glow Golf...now we'll have an excuse to spend half a day or so each time we visit!

As for restaurants, personally, I'd go for Raglan Road. The bar, the band, and the dancing all make it seem a little more festive than other restaurants.

BTW...denvergirl and jedijill; did you know you can get Dole Whips right here in Northern CO? We found them last year at The Ranch in Loveland when we attended HeavenFest. Then, last month we went to the Budweiser Event Center at the Ranch to see Mythbusters and during intermission my boys found the Dole Whip booth again! It's almost worth paying for tickets to an event there just to get to buy Dole Whips! BTW...they cost about $5.25 here! It's a little bit of Disney right here in Northern CO!

EKW. . .Dole Whips in Denver? Now you're talkin'! We live about an hour and 15 minutes from there. . .may be worth the ticket price and the drive!!!

Jedijill and EKW: I'm super excited about the new Disney Store. . .I found this on the Denverpost.com from 1/22/12. . .

Mickey makes comeback. Five years after the Disney Store exited Park Meadows mall, the store will return with a new design as part of a global expansion this year.

The retail arm of the film and amusement-park giant announced its growth plans Friday during the National Retail Federation's Big Show in New York City. The announcement said Park Meadows will receive the first newly designed store in Colorado. Other stores are in the Town Center at Aurora and FlatIron Crossing in Broomfield.

The stores sell collectibles and merchandise ranging from classic Mickey Mouse items to replicas of modern pop phenoms the Jonas Brothers.

The Park Meadows store will open in late spring in the old Forever21 location when Forever21 moves to a larger space.

"Our customers still frequently request Disney," said Pam Schenck-Kelly, Park Meadows' senior general manager. "We have American Girl and Lego; therefore, Disney will round out the experiential child offerings at the center."

Yippee...another person here turning the big 4-0 this year!

I've eaten at Cali Grill (a few times) and Victoria and Albert's (lovely) so I've decided to do Flying Fish for the first time for this trip. I love seafood but I live in Maryland where I can get it pretty readily...so hopefully I won't be disappointed with the food or atmosphere.

That being said, I'm having the birthday dinner during my birthday trip but a few days early. For my ACTUAL birthday we are going to just have dinner at the Plaza at MK and then follow that with the Wishes Dessert Party at MK because I figured dessert for my night-before-my-birthday meal would be awesome!

Since my actual birthday is the last day of our trip, we are having lunch at Le Chef de France and then doing shopping and such before boarding our plane back home.

Hope you have a FABULOUS birthday at WDW!!!

I went to FF for my 40th, absolute heaven I love the Snapper. They brought me a cream brulee with happy birthday on it. Very nice night.

That's what I'm leaning towards, mostly because I love seafood and live in Colroado and it is something totally different than where we've been before. That snapper looks "to die for"! 9 months is just too far away!

My husband is taking me for the same reason (albeit a little belated)...first weekend in May! We decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to Deluxe Dining Plan. So now in addition to a bday dinner at the (fabulous) Flying Fish, I also get to dine at the California Grill, Fulton's and the Brown Derby during the course of our trip. I LOVE the Flying Fish...the snapper is unbelievable and I love the atmosphere. We usually stay at the Boardwalk Villas so we try to make that our big splurge every trip. Happy Bday. You can't go wrong with the Fish...I promise. Have a great trip.

We're staying at the Swan/Dolphin this time, so no DDP for us So sad that you feel like you're slummin' it when you have to be conscious of every meal you plan. . .I guess the free room (on SPG points) will have to make up for that! I'm so excited but still have a long wait. . .I can't make my ADRs until the first week of June! Thank goodness for the boards to keep me occupied

We're heading to WDW (staying at BWV) for my 42nd birthday at the end of May. DH has alot of family in Florida and I think a bunch of them are going to join us for the weekend. Flying Fish sounds like it might be a good option for a group dinner, but does anyone have any experience with their vegetarian options? I'm a strict vegetarian (no meat/fish/poultry, stocks, gelatin, etc.) and I like to avoid the awkward conversation with the server about what might or might not work.

I checked the menu and didn't see anything, other than side dishes, that were really vegetarian. I think everyone else would like Flying Fish, but as the Birthday Girl, I want to make sure I have a nice experience too
