40% off for DVC family and friends

Does anyone know if members can get this discount as well? This is cheaper then the current members 25% cash rate.

Disney is offering discounts up to 40% off at Disney's Old Key West and Saratoga Springs resorts for "Friends and Family" of DVC members during the period of August 24 to September 27, 2008.

we were looking to pay cash for friday saturday for up coming trip...SSR studio was available for $169/night...that must have been the 40% deal perhaps?

we went with the $129 at Dolphin, wanted to be near epcot and boardwalk for weekend.

DVD offers a large discount to non members when sales slow down. They also do the free DVC upgrade for Guests staying at a non-DVC resorts. Next we will see another friends and family price discount. Just another way to sell additional memberships.

Members can get a 25% discount on a cash reservation at DVC resorts through Member Services, subject to availability. According to the rules, the member must be staying in the room.

We got SSR for 169 using a code for the Disney Visa card for that same period. Got the code off mousesavers.
