OMIGOD I am excited. In the mail was a 40% off deluxe postcard that can be used during 7 different blocks of dates (unlimited times you can book a reservation as long as it is done before March 31st)! I never received one of these before!

I booked March 30 for a week at the Old Key West 1 bedroom for $189 per night, that was the only deluxe open and Oct 19th for 4 nights at the GF with a theme park view for $330 a night (for my birthday!) and 4 nights at the BW with a water view for $222 a night.

I am so over thrilled!

And FYI, for Oct 19 to Nov 1st they had:

AK standard for $165
Poly garden for $221
BW for $221
BC and YC water view for $260
GF standard for $260

:woohoo: Congrats to you!

I am jealous, I must admit :rotfl2:
I've never recieved one...and doubt they'll send it, we'll be there in 17 days!
I am happy for you, those are some great deals! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I never received one either, first time for everything right? The only times that are blocked off are April 8th to August 10th and a few days out of the remaining months.

Now if I could just get one of those room upgrades I am always hearing about! :rotfl:

We received the mailer today as well. Unfortunately, right now, we need March 18-21, so the dates don't help us out in the near future. Maybe we'll just have to plan another trip later in the year? :teeth:

Congrats Nicki! Bet that made your day...!

Who were you registered with to get the postcard? Is that a disney.com promo? I've signed up for so many newsletters etc in the past 3 days I lose track of who's got the goods. :upsidedow

Hey Laugh O', if you can't swing a trip later in the year, can I have your card? lol

Thanks Mimi!

No I did not register for anything and I wasnt even calling to get travel quotes! The only thing I can think of is the fact that I did not renew our AP's and this is a way to get us back

Also, the 40% applies to tickets and the dining package

That's a great deal you all got! Take it run as they say!!!

In the 20 something visits I've made to WDW since 1997 and there at least twice each year, I have never once received a special discount notice from Disney. I can't even seem to be lucky enough to find one of those "Bouce Back offers" cards/requests when I am visiting. The only discounts I get are waiting and watching for the public discount codes that come out periodically. I am not an Annual Passholder at this time.

Someone told me once that Disney won't send special offers to frequent visitors only certain target audiences. I can't say if this is true or not but if it is, Disney needs to reconsider their target audience and start to reward folks for being loyal guests and cut us a break after spending so much time and money in their parks consistently year after year. If Disney did send me a special offer once in a while, that would make me more apt to come down more often and spend even more money. Oh well.....my turn for a special rate may happen one day..who knows.

MadiMouse - OMG that little bug in your signature made me freak out!! :scared1: I thought there really was a bug crawling on my monitor here at work! I scooted back sooooooooooo far on my chair!! :rotfl:

What were the dates of choice?

Can someone who has received this post the exact dates listed?

I just want to see how much more I'm spending by not receiving yet another great discount postcard.

I think they have no reason to offer discounts to those of us that are true addicts.

I agree, but I still am very bitter about it. Not for the people that have gotten it. For them, that's awesome - Congrats! But I think it's a bit "off" for Disney to market like that. In their defense, it is pretty common in the travel industry.

I've used this analogy before. Imagine being in line at Best Buy buying a plasma TV. You're paying the regular price of $1,999. The customer in front of you has the same TV. They go to the register and present an email coupon they received for 25% off that TV. You'd be curious (and have a right to know) as to why you didn't receive this offer and why you can't get it.

i dont think it matters how much you go....i get them from time to time and i go at least 1 or 2 times a year......i really do think it is random

If that's true, and it may very well \be (I have no idea), then I, along with many others, have REALLY bad luck when it comes to who is selected. I'm on every single Disney mailing list that I am aware exists. Have been for some time. I've never gotten a postcard or email offer.

I left the postcard at home but here is what I remember

Jan 7 to the 17th
Jan 20 to the 30th
Feb 25 to March 5
March 30 to April 8
Aug 17? to Sept 27
Oct 19 to Nov 1st
Nov 7 to the 17th
Dec 7 to the 17th

Now I am wondering if I should just get the 40% off of the 7 day park hoppers instead of the AP's since I know we will not go anymore than twice this year :sad1:

BUT, if I get the tickets I can get a discount on the DDP

Oh, you have to book this offer by March 31st and you can book as many times as you want and as many rooms as you want (that is what the CM told me).

The March 30 to April 8th time is sold out except for Old Key West and Saratoga Springs but not until 4/1

Instead of all this nonsense of codes, mailings, secret emails, etc., why don't they just offer a frequent visitor program? They are making the discounts harder and harder to get. The last batch of AP's are a joke. At least throw us regulars a bone every once in a while. Sheesh!
