There will be 7 of us flying - 4 adults 3 kids - we are looking at booking on air tran for our return flight home but it only has a 40 minute layover in Wash DC / Baltimore - we would be getting on another plan but still an Air Tran so I am assuming we would be getting off at the same gate as we are getting back on...is 40 minutes enough or is that cutting it too close?
also...we are first time fliers - if our first air tran flight is late and we do miss our connecting what happens?? Are we screwed, do we have to pay for an additional ticket, next available seats?
Other options is a much later flight w/ either a 1 hr 46 min layover or a 3 hour layover in Wash DC / Baltimore...dont really want the 3 hour but think that may be safer???
help please
