The Cast
Ian - 40, loves WDW, in particular the drinking establishments, leaves all planning to me..
Jules - 39, chief planner, and lover of salty rims!!
We enjoy some coffee first thing on the balcony, its wonderful to sit and look at the castle. Its a wonderful perk of Bay Lake, and something I never thought I would be lucky enough to experience.
We head for the monorail to the Magic Kingdom, I can't help but keep reminding myself how lucky I am, it was once a thing of dreams to stay at a monorail resort.
We do our usual favourites, Carousel of Progress, Pirates, Philarmagic etc, and then head for Buzz. For some reason I am especially paranoid about my sunglasses and tuck them safely on the seat, as we get off they fly off with me, and end up on the track! We tell the attendent who seems so laid back about it! He tells us to stand to one side, but seems to be doing nothing, Ian then realises he is counting cars, he makes a pounce, with a long picky up thing, and result my glasses are back in my hand, they did Buzz without me!
It was a lovely hot day, I realised I love March
It gets so hot we decide to leave the park, and get the monorail back to the Contemporary and the Contempo Cafe for lunch, its all touch screen ordering which we think is great, little things and all that.. They have little bottles of wine made for two, we both get the chicken ceasar salad..
We pop into the shop, where I get silly with ears
(look at my red nose)
Its time for some sun bathing, so we change and head for the pool, I get myself a rita, and Ian a Rum Runner
We spend a lovely couple of hours at the pool, reading, chilling and guzzling cocktails.
We wander back to the room, and decide to hop on the monorail to the Tambu lounge, a girl must have her lapu lapu, Ian gets a backscratcher
Suitably refreshed we take the monorail back to the Bay Lake. Next came the amazing bit of staying here... We open a bottle of wine, open the balcony doors and prepare for Wishes. Ian sorted the ipod so that the Wishes music was perfectly matched with the fireworks, it was amazing, sat on the balcony, with a glass of wine, watching Wishes with the music drifting from the room..
Shortly after Wishes I phoned Papa John who delivered The Works or heaven in a box, and we settled to watch some trash on telly, life doesn't get much better...
