40 is a FANTASY! Chunkeymonkey & Chubbyhubby STAR WARS cruise and POLY Feb 2016 TR Link Added!!

I like the mugs as well, and the pins.

They are really cool!

Joining in to keep up.

Yay!! Thanks for reading!

Loving all the food posts ; ). Jock Lindsay's looks like they have some really fun apps. The morimoto menu didn't excite me too much, but early reviews looks really good, curious to see more

Loving all the Star Wars at sea merch. Have a new found appreciation as my hubby signed up for the Star Wars half marathon. You are gonna have to school me so I can Jo my street cred with him ; )

I'm curious about the restaurants too! Most likely we'll make it to one of them, if not both.

There is one thing you need to know that will bring you INSTANT Star Wars street cred: HAN SHOT FIRST.

That is all. :cutie:

Wow, that's some seriously cool and fun merchandise!

I know!

Dear Disney,

Please take all my money.

Thank you, Su-Lynn

:rotfl:

This PTR sure keeps me up-to-date on the new Disney things that I haven't made the time to learn about yet. Thanks for the info on the new dining options and the Star Wars cruise! :goodvibes Everything looks great!

All the merchandise looks so cool! How do you even decide? Lol!

Had to google it first, but you were right. Finally got myself a bit of cred with the hubs

This PTR makes me want to eat food and buy things. You're a bad influence, Su-Lynn. Thank you. :rotfl:

Thanks! I hope they decided to do the Star Wars Day at Sea again...I'm sure it'll be a big hit. I haven't seen them announced for 2017 yet though, but I guess they are using these sailings as a test run. I'm a Disney guinea pig! :magnify:

I don't know! I just want to buy everything. Maybe I should...then just return what I don't want on the ship. LOL. It will beat having it be sold out once I board...and I'm the sort of person, if I can't get something, I want it even more. :cutie:

Haha, I knew it would work. Fans of the original series would know that tidbit.

You're welcome! Glad to be of service. I should say the same goes for you. We are bad influencers! :lmao:

I do have some time before the finalized date to edit or cancel items. I can't believe I've already spent so much money and I'm not even ON the darn boat!! Oh and on top of it, there will still be other Star Wars items for sale on the ship too (the regular, non-pre order stuff). And when I see Star Wars, I seem to be so wiling part with my money :cool2:.

Hmm, thanks Disney for allowing me to shop even before I go on vacation! :rotfl:

Joining in! I'm going on one of the Star Wars cruises too, and yes, I've pre-ordered a pin and a t-shirt, and YES, I can't believe I'm buying merch for a trip I haven't even gone on yet!!!!

Also, I spent my 40th at WDW a year or two ago, and let me assure you, it is THE BEST THING EVER!!!!!!! I was so happy to be at Disney for my birthday I didn't care how old I was. Although the joke that trip was that I was 12, so.... :bored:

I'll be at DL next month for the very very beginning of Season of the Force, even though I'm not a Star Wars superfan (my BFF traveling companion is which is why the cruise), I'm really excited to see everything!

Oh how cool! I hope you do a little review/preview of Season of the Force and the cruise too! I'm so excited to read trip reports with this!
I'm sooo excited to spend my birthday at WDW! It'll be my first birthday there and I to finally get to wear a bday button. Oh and yes, I will be turning 21, that's a reason to party right? :cool1:

Yes, I plan to work a TR of both trips into the PTR I have going!

Wearing a birthday pin was SO COOL.

I just read on the parks blog about some interesting dining experiences that I hadn't known about on the Dream and Fantasy. In particular, I hadn't heard about the first one, Petites Assiettes de Remy on the first night of the cruise. It sounds really good. Of course number 6, the dessert experience sounded good too:) Also, if you haven't done one of the wine/liquor classes, they are really neat. We did the mixology one. They have one that pairs chocolate with something. The something part didn't matter to me; I just heard chocolate:)

Thanks for the article! I had no idea they had Remy event on the first day! Is this in lieu of dinner? That would be good especially if I cannot get Remy dinner reservations.
And the dessert tasting sounds great! I'll see if my sister would do that. I don't mind taking Mixology either, especially when paired with chocolates!
So many things to do on the boat!!

I don't know if it's in place of dinner at Remy or not. This was the first I had heard of it. The article said early evening, so maybe Remy still have later seatings on the first night. We did Remy in the middle of our trip.

Sounds cool! I'll have to see if I can get more info on this.

Life makes me want to eat food and buy things :rotfl:

That's like my LIFE.

Shhhhhh, you. Sure it does, but it's more fun to blame Su-Lynn.

HAHA *bows* *guilty look* :littleangel:

The food at Morimoto Asia and Jock Lindsey's looks pretty tasty, especially the stuffed dates. I LOVE stuffed dates! :thumbsup2

I love the Star Wars items you pre-selected! I will cross my fingers that you get at least a few of the lottery items. I'm the worst person to tell you not to get the coffee tumbler - I just bought two new ones yesterday! :rotfl: I think the blue one looks nice and it's probably a bit different than the 522 other mugs you have at home. (I'm glad I'm not the only one who owns too many mugs!)

OK- caught up on Page 1 of your PTR. You have a fabulous trip to look forward to!!!

The Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom looks incredible. Smart way to go. For a few extra bucks each, the comfort will be well worth it.

How exciting that you will get to be there for some of Flower & Garden. Pictures from EPCOT look amazing at that time of year.

Mmmmm... I hope you get Ohana for your BD!

I love planning out Disney days. We always go to the early morning entry park because we are early risers and then we hop to another park when it starts to get really crowded. We have not yet had a family trip with Magic Bands and advanced FP, so it will be interesting to see how we plan our next stay.

We used to love the Dining Plan, but I think we are done. More flexibility paying out of pocket, particularly if we decide to share one of the huge Disney entrees and get extra appetizers. We also don't need a dessert for each of us at every meal. Well, the boys do!

:rotfl2:

We have only been to Ohana once, but we would like to go back. We once had breakfast and lunch on the same day at Tusker and I think that was overkill for us. We now head to Boma when we are at AK. I know we would love Saana, too, but we have never been. We also have not been to Le Cellier since it became a signature. Marrakesh and San Angel Inn used to be our go-tos in our early EPCOT days, BK (before kids) back when there were fewer options. We loved them, but we haven't taken the boys to either place. Sci Fi is a family favorite. We have had lunch at CP, but not since our 2008 trip. Can't go wrong with Kona. I have only been to Be Our Guest once, but I definitely want to be back with the family.

I agree- your picture at Sci Fi is spectacular. So hard to get good photos there!

Although we haven't been to Park Faire, LTT, Garden Grill, Askerhaus or Yachtsman, they all seem like solid choices.

Figuring out where to eat is the BEST part of Disney planning!!! I look forward to hear what you end up booking/getting.

I am not even sure I have ever had a stuffed date in my life but I do like dates so this sounds really good!

Haha, I did end up ordering the coffee tumbler. I figure it's best to just order everything and then decide later. But since I do really like the logo and the color I will probably end up keeping this.

Thanks! Makes getting older less dreadful. Haha, in all honestly I am looking forward to 40.

Yeah that's what I figured. An extra 50 feet of space doesn't sound like much but in a cruise cabin, it will probably make a huge difference!

How exciting that you will get to be there for some of Flower & Garden. Pictures from EPCOT look amazing at that time of year.

Yeah pretty excited we are going to be there for the start of this! I didn't know it started so early, and I wasn't expecting to be at WDW for any festivals, so this was a plus!

Mmmmm... I hope you get Ohana for your BD!

Hehe, you'll see as you keep reading...

FP+ has both good and bad...I think it is ok but my DH does not like it. He was ok with waking up early and running and getting paper FP and then keep running back to rides to pick up more FP. He said if that was the way to ensure we could ride a big ticket attraction 4 times a day then he'd do that (and we have). I guess it all depends on crowd levels as well. Oh and park hopping...it's just not the same anymore. But I guess FP+ is here to stay so we have to just deal with it. It's definitely allowed us to get more pool/down time at the resorts though, since when the park is crowded we don't want to wait on standby.

We used to love the Dining Plan, but I think we are done. More flexibility paying out of pocket, particularly if we decide to share one of the huge Disney entrees and get extra appetizers. We also don't need a dessert for each of us at every meal. Well, the boys do!

Yeah I agree about the flexibility. I don't need to get dessert at most restaurants unless it's included in our meal. I will not be opposed to doing the dining plan again but only really for free dining.

Breakfast and Lunch at Tusker! I imagine there is some overlap in the foods, right? Yeah that would be too much for me in one day. I do really like Boma, and I think Sanaa is great! I wish I had more time for more meals. It's always hard to choose between going to old favorites and trying out new ones. Especially with the launch of Jock Lindsey's, Morimoto, and Skipper Canteen! Those are 3 places I do not want to miss on our next trip!

Everything is booked! You'll see what we ended up getting...:cutie:

 Joining In!!! What a fun way to spend your birthday!

Yay! Good to see you here! I know, I'm so excited!

Hi Su-Lynn! I read your last TR and just loved it! Then I saw this one starting and I just had to comment because I'm spending my 40th birthday at Disney too! We will be at WDW for the Star Wars Half Marathon - The Dark Side. I am only running the 5K with my DH but since it was on my birthday weekend, and it was Star Wars, I felt it was meant to be! I'm super excited since I was able to get BOG breakfast (your TR kind of sealed the deal on that one) on my actual birthday! Can't wait!!! :darth::chewy:
