40% discount offer

I forgot to mention this in my trip report. We were at WDW 1/9-1/12 (land part of land/sea) and stayed at the Poly. We noticed that there was a card by the door of one room offering them a 40% discount if they booked a future vacation before they checked out. I know others have noted this and couldn't figure out who gets it. We didn't get a card like this, so I asked at the front desk when we checked out. The CM said that it's a trial program being offered at a few resorts and that the discount offer is made to those paying full rack rates to entice them to come back. He said that, if it catches on, WDW may expand it (he didn't say how). Just thought people would be interested to know the rationale for the offer.

There is info on this at mousesavers. Apparently you can call from your room during your stay and book this deal with the code even if you did not receive a card. We will be at AKL in two weeks, and plan to try it, even if we do not get the card. However, I think the deal is only valid if you book through 2/13. We want to return in late October.

I was able to book there last week. We did not receive a card, but when I called and gave the correct code, we were able to move ahead with the reservation. You need to be staying on property at the time of the call. You can return anytime from March 1st (I think it was the 1st, but it could be another day in March) until December 31st. I asked if there were black out dates and was told no.

I booked a Poly concierge room to return in July. You needed to be staying a minimum of three nights at the time of the reservation, according to what was written. The rate was comparable to my Annual Pass rate, but didn't want to take a chance that one wouldn't be offered when I wanted to return, so I booked now.

from the BC....received $123 rate for POR in mid-August....I thought the discount would be better and was actually disappointed with it but then I received my reservation confirmation at home in the mail and realized that CRO book me a waterview room!!!

I wonder if I can change it to standard....I dont want to lose the discount but really wanted to go budget this trip.

Anybody out there use the BAQ code from a resort phone and then make changes to their reservation after they came home?

We used code BAQ from Riverside during our Thanksgiving 02 stay...

The card was on our door...and they were very picky in making sure you were ON PROPERTY....After Reservations were made, we actually went down to the front desk (even though we did not have to because we had express checkout) just to make sure the reservation was in because we could not beleive the price.
Especially for the Thanksgiving 03 trip.

POR - August 15 - 24 (9 nights....$856)
POR -Thanksgiving 03..Nov 26-Nov. 30...($356)

Both of these reservations are ROOM ONLY and Standard View.
