This ferris wheel on Paradise Pier was awesome!!!
Funny story though ~ we went with some friends and you could choose to go on the "moving" or "non-moving" cars. My friend gets "ride sick" very easily, but we thought "hey, it's a ferris wheel, how bad can it be?" WRONG!
We chose the moving cars and the first thing she noticed after we got "locked inside" was barf bags. She even asked "why in the world would they need these?"
Unfortunately, she found out! She did NOT love this ride!!!
that story is too funny...when we went back to California in 2004 on vacation my best friend took the day off work and met us at Disneyland with her 2 kids...At California Adventure we also went on the ferris wheel... onli I am the one with motion sickness, but ferris wheels don't usually bother me
can you see where this is going well we too picked the moving one my husband said "oh great they have barf bags, this isn't going to be good"
because my husband said 'do you need to get off" I just nodded, afraid to open my mouth
so he hollered down to the CM and they started the wheel and brought us all the way back around... when they opened the door I got out in a hurry but I had 4 (yes all 4) people at my heels they couldn't get off fast enough either I didn't get sick but when the CM asked if we would like to go on a non-moving car I just smiled and said no thanks... come to think of it none of the others got back on either
well I did fine until we had to stop so they could load more on to the next seat... I guess I turned green
Thanks for the laugh! Who would ever think a mild ferris wheel could be so "sickening." 
Now introducing WCC at the WL. This is an all-time family favorite of ours.
DD11 realized she loves these WDW sticky wings. She got them several times during our trip and loved them ...
I had the nachos, which is now called the "Western Chips". WCC has recently changed their menu and the nachos have changed significantly. I didn't think I'd like the "new" nachos, but they were in fact really, really tasty! Change can be good!
The sauce accompanying the chips is a spicy cheese sauce which was YUMMY!!!
DD15 tried the new cheese & sausage (and pickle) plate. This was also delicious!
And of course, the always succulent and fabulous WCC cornbread!!! LOVE this stuff!!!Apparently Mickey loves it also. See the way he is "eyeing" it!
Us 3 ladies had the "all you can drink" milkshakes ... vanilla and chocolate. And DH "winked" at our server and asked for a "LARGE" diet coke and this is what he got (and wanted) ...
For entrees, we had the new shrimp dinner ...
which DH said was "okay." It was hard to peel them all. It took FOREVER too.
I had the ribs dinner, which I didn't like (too fatty and not "barbeque" tasting enough for me) ...
DD15 got the chicken pasta, which is her standard favorite at WCC ...
DD11 got the broasted chicken dinner with fries instead of whatever potatoes usually come with it ... this is her standard favorite at WCC ...
My standard favorite here USED to be the steak. I missed it this time around as it's no longer on the menu.
And last, but certainly NOT least is dessert! Of course by this time, we were ready to waddle out of WL, but we didn't say "NO" to dessert. We're not idiots!!

Of course we cannot forget the oodles of ketchup bottles that we had at our table for like 2.2 seconds (the minute we got them, they were summoned away by another table). We all grabbed some before they left though ... I love this about WCC! Also because it was my birthday, they made my dd11 ride the pony around the restaurant singing "happy birthday to Mom" - that was awesome!!!
I promise more, but alas it is bedtime as I still have jet-lag from our CA trip this past weekend! Sorry and good-night for now!
Excellent pics from Disneyland - did I read rightly that you used your WDW tickets there
and waited and then waited some more (only about 10 min. I guess, but we were anxious to get inside so it seemed longer). Finally we asked him what we were waiting for. I think his answer was "Yolanda." OHHHHHH we said, of course - Yolanda! and waited and waited some more (okay, again, it was only like 10 min. but again, watching everyone else run through the turnstiles and go on to have fun made it hard to wait that long).
Holy Moly am I hungry now!! So many pictures of sooooooo many things I want to try when I get there..... I don't know where to start. 
These are from our April 2007 trip (Easter week). It was DD's 15th birthday
We celebrated at Whispering Canyon Cafe. I had lots of surprises in store for her and WCC even had a few of their own.
I had ordered a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache icing ...
Here's an "inside" view ~ marble cake with chocolate buttercream filling ...
It was inside a pirate chest and had a POTC talking bank (which we have SO much fun putting money into), a POTC beach towel (sweet Lindsey even threw in an extra one for FREE for dd11), a beanie-baby Eeyore (DD's favorite character) and a signed picture from Mickey & Minnie (we wanted Captain Jack, but they couldn't do that). It also came with the balloons. She was super surprised!!
Imagine our surprise then when we thought we were all done and here comes a cop ...
He wrote DD15 a ticket and put her in jail!
I hope she's not that smiley
Then they made DH "bail her out" by riding a stick pony around the restaurant singing Happy Birthday to her. Sorry no pictures of that ... I think we were laughing too hard to remember to photograph that moment in time.
