40 ddp credits for FREE with lots of pictures to boot

It's the famous Mickey rice krispie treat.

I actually ate this (and photographed it) in the car on our trip home from the airport. My last taste of Disney for awhile ... :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I also thought you might enjoy a list of some of the 40 snacks we enjoyed on this trip. We didn't photograph most of them, because most of you know what a bag of chips or a box of donuts looks like already ...

  • Strawberry-banana smoothie
  • Tropical smoothie
  • Bag of cheetos
  • Chocolate chip supreme (ice cream)
  • Bag of doritos
  • Bag of sour gummy worms
  • Rice krispy treat (pictured in the previous post)
  • Bag of ruffles potato chips
  • Swirlpop (sucker)
  • Diet coke
  • Vanilla fudge cookie
  • Boxes of entemann's chocolate chip cookies
  • Popem's donuts and powdered donuts and chocolate donuts
  • Root beer float (Anandapur shop near Everest in AK)
  • Soft serve ice cream from same place
  • Tostitos chips and salsa
  • Fruit cup
  • Yogurt parfait
  • Ice cream sundaes at Everything Pop (pictured earlier and ranted & raved about - they were good!!)
  • Breadsticks from Pizzafari in AK (pictured earlier)
  • Frozen coke from Launching Pad in MK (we didn't get enough from Pop I guess)
  • Frozen lemonade
  • Mrs. Pott's ice cream during the Pirate & Princess party at MK

We also had the refillable mugs at Pop and got frozen coke in them whenever it was available (which was usually only in the mid-afternoon). It was a popular treat in HOT, HUMID August.

Since I'm not going to write a trip report, I thought I'd just share a few other miscellaneous pictures from this trip too.

Here's a favorite. Our "mousekeeper" at Pop was so sweet. Several times we were in the room when she cleaned and so we got to know her. On one of our last day's, she left this towel animal in our room (there were other smaller ones throughout the week, but this one was the BEST). Our girls named her "Jennifer."

We also got a few good shots of "Devine" at AK too. I just LOVE seeing her, she is fascinating!

floridaaugust07032.jpg

Also, when we were waiting for rope drop at AK, DD11 got chosen to open the "tips board" as a YOAMD prize and here she is doing it ...

floridaaugust07028.jpg

AND ... one of the highlights of the trip was meeting Captain Jack at the Pirate & Princess party. We lined up about 6:15pm to see him. They began showings of him at 7pm. We were the second family to visit him that night. We were in line behind a couple who had just moved to WDW to be cm's and it was SOOOOOOO incredible talking to them as they are who DH and I want to be in about 20 years!!!

floridaaugust07332.jpg

We also went to Daytona Beach for a day on this trip and even though it's not "Disney" I thought you might like to see a few pictures.

We also spent 2 partial days at Sea World this trip too ...

The "Believe" Shamu show was awesome!!

floridaaugust07221.jpg

We even got the girls "Shamu" cookies after the show ... They were ALMOST too cute to eat. :goodvibes

floridaaugust07224.jpg

We also bought some fish to feed the dolphins, which was a really cool experience.

floridaaugust07276.jpg

I swear in this picture, the dolphin was smiling ... :)

Well, that's all for today.

If anyone is interested, I would be happy to post a few dining pictures from our April trip and also a few non-food pictures from our one-day DisneyLAND trip last weekend (we were in CA for my best friend's wedding).

See you all tomorrow!

Great pictures. I really enjoyed your dining report and miscellaneous pictures. I, for one, would love to see more - can never have too many pictures :thumbsup2

I love your pictures and reviews. It would be great to see even more!!

Okay, please don't be sad, but this will be the last post for food from this trip. I did find a few pictures from our trip in April though, so if anyone is still interested, I will post those pictures next.

Here are pictures from our last meal of this 40 ddp credit trip in Aug./Sept. 2007. This was hands-down everyone's favorite meal of the trip.

It was lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern.

We began with 3 of us getting the fried cheese appetizer, which us "Wisconsinites" declared EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!

In the background is DD11's pirate punch with souvenior light-up tinkerbell, which is now hanging happily in our living room from my Precious Moments Christmas tree angel, which I adore. The cup is also re-useable. It's made of a hard plastic and DD11 has used it and we've put it in the dishwasher even, so it's sturdy.

floridaaugust07455.jpg

DH got the Maryland crab cake appetizer. I thought he was CRAZY for not getting the fried cheese, but he really loved this appetizer and was happy with his choice. Plus, he helped me eat my fried cheese as I personally felt it was a HUGE appetizer and could easily be shared among several people.

floridaaugust07457.jpg

For entrees, DD11 got the William Penn pasta, which she loved ... I don't even like pasta, but even I thought this looked AND smelled delicious ...

floridaaugust07458.jpg

DD15 and I both got the cheddar cheese bacon burger. DH got the pilgrim's feast. DH and I did "halfsies" again as both meals looked SO good, we couldn't possibly settle for just one. ;)

Please notice Mickey on his "salt shaker" perch. :lmao:

floridaaugust07459.jpg

The pilgrim feast is similar to what you get for dinner at LTT and just as YUMMY!!!

floridaaugust07460.jpg

For dessert, DD11 and I got the chocolate liberation cake, which was actually warm chocolate lava cake with raspberry sauce and cherry ice cream. MAN OH MAN was this out of this world good!!!!! Even the strawberry that came with it was juicy and delicious!

floridaaugust07463.jpg

DD15 got the Liberty Shortcake (berry shortcake) ...

floridaaugust07461.jpg

DH had the butter griddled poundcake, which is served with warm pecan caramel sauce with vanilla bean ice cream. He declared this to be "FANTASTIC" :cheer2:

floridaaugust07462.jpg

I also have to mention that we saw other tables with the LTT "melt in your mouth" roles and butter that we've had at dinner. We asked about them and our server said they are only served at lunch "by request" so we quickly "requested" some. Sorry we didn't take a picture, but if you've ever had them, you will know how special and delicious they are! :cool1:

We had never had lunch here before (only dinner a few times), but WE WILL BE BACK for lunch as it was spectacular! :woohoo:

We had the last lunch ADR (around 3:45) and so it wasn't super busy, but they were turning people with NO ADR's away. In fact, the man who wanted to check in right before me went into a tirade with the cm because he got this "free dining plan" and couldn't find anywhere to eat. She handled it very well and made some suggestions to him, but he was furious. I was glad we had an ADR.

When we left this meal, they were clearning out one side of the restaurant and prepping it for dinner.

OH ... I will have ONE more special picture from this trip's food coming up next. It's an all-time, favorite, "gotta have every trip" thing for me. I'm sure some of you will agree ...

I love your dining review , we will be there Oct 4 /Oct 12 and will be having lunch @ LTT I wanted to know if the tinkerbell lightup Thingy was part of the drink or did you purchase that else where my DD age 10 would love that!
I hope those desserts are as good as they look:woohoo:
Yum yum how did you ever pick just one?????

The pirate punch was served at most of the sit down restaurants and it looked basically the same at all places. It is in honor of the Pirate & Princess parties, so I don't know if they'll still have it in October. I hope so for your dd's sake!!

It was $5.99 and we paid oop for it (and got charged $1.08 for an 18% gratituty for it too, which I didn't realize until just now looking at the receipt :sad1: ).

Thank you ! $1.08:scared1: guess there starting the tip thing early , But I think my DD would think its worth the extra she loves Tink. I will be sure and ask for the rolls great tip.

DH says if you ask for anything oop to be a separate bill, you can see it easier if they charge you for a tip. You can ask for that to be removed.

Here are a few pictures of our Breathless II fireworks cruise from Aug. 28. I posted these on the Illuminations cruise thread also.

DD's with Aaron, currently the only driver of the Breathless II ...

These are from our April 2007 trip (Easter week). It was DD's 15th birthday :cake: party: :bday:

We celebrated at Whispering Canyon Cafe. I had lots of surprises in store for her and WCC even had a few of their own. pixiedust:

I had ordered a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache icing ...

DSCI0498.jpg

Here's an "inside" view ~ marble cake with chocolate buttercream filling ...

DSCI0517.jpg

We had also worked with Lindsey from the dis (fairy_tale_bride) who had just been hired to help make surprises like this come true. She was AWESOME to work with and this gift basket was SO COOL! DD15 loved it!!!!!

DSCI0504-1.jpg

It was inside a pirate chest and had a POTC talking bank (which we have SO much fun putting money into), a POTC beach towel (sweet Lindsey even threw in an extra one for FREE for dd11), a beanie-baby Eeyore (DD's favorite character) and a signed picture from Mickey & Minnie (we wanted Captain Jack, but they couldn't do that). It also came with the balloons. She was super surprised!!

Imagine our surprise then when we thought we were all done and here comes a cop ...

DSCI0505-1.jpg

He wrote DD15 a ticket and put her in jail! :scared1:

DSCI0519.jpg

DSCI0506.jpg

I hope she's not that smiley :) if they ever put her in "real" jail. :rotfl:

Then they made DH "bail her out" by riding a stick pony around the restaurant singing Happy Birthday to her. Sorry no pictures of that ... I think we were laughing too hard to remember to photograph that moment in time. :lmao:

I would love to see your pics from DL. I haven't been there yet but is on my list of places I NEED to visit.

Thanks for taking the time to post your pics and reviews.

Less than 2 weeks after our WDW trip, we had to go to California. My best friend of 35 years was getting married in San Diego. She wanted to get married on Labor Day weekend, but because we couldn't change our Disney trip, she settled for Sept. 15.

We literally only had one "free" day after the wedding before we had to get back so the girls wouldn't miss SO much school right after it had just begun.

So what would any diser do with 1 day in So. California??? Duh ~ go to Disneyland!!!

It was a whirlwind trip ... only one day ~ Sat. Sept. 16 and we used our WDW park hopper non-expiry tickets, so we did park hop from California Adventure to Disneyland.

Here are some highlights of the day in pictures ...

The castle at DL is SOOOOO much smaller than WDW. It was adorable!

california145.jpg

Paradise Pier at DCA ... California Screamin' was my favorite ride of the day (we rode it 3 times! - no waits!!) ...

california155.jpg

More coming ...

We just thought this sign was neat. We loved California!

california150.jpg

Had lunch here. LOVED  the name of this restaurant (in fact, DL had a lot of cool names for eating places :) ) ... Sorry we didn't take pictures of our food, but it was basic pizza.

california162.jpg

From the High School Musical Pep Rally ...

california165.jpg

This ferris wheel on Paradise Pier was awesome!!! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Funny story though ~ we went with some friends and you could choose to go on the "moving" or "non-moving" cars. My friend gets "ride sick" very easily, but we thought "hey, it's a ferris wheel, how bad can it be?" WRONG! :scared1:

We chose the moving cars and the first thing she noticed after we got "locked inside" was barf bags. She even asked "why in the world would they need these?" :confused3

Unfortunately, she found out! She did NOT love this ride!!!

california156.jpg

You can also kind of see the "mailboomer" ride on the right. DH and DD15 loved this ride and there was literally NO wait for it all day, so they went on it more times than I can count. I went on it once and they put a "shield" in front of you. We thought it was for "ride sickness" but asked and found out it was for noise control. Same thing with the "tubes" on California Screamin'. Apparently with so many hotels so close by, noise is a real issue at DL. Interesting, huh?
