40% Code question

hello, I am new to the board - one time visitor to WDW and have been biding my time hoping to go back. We just got a 40% Disney Destination code which specifically refers to Value Resorts (but says "ask about our other rooms).

Does anybody know from experience if this offer will be strictly limited to value resorts? We fell in love with Port Orleans last trip and would love to look into it again.

I received a 40% off code a few months back that is good for most dates in 2009...we are interested in a deluxe resort and when I called I was told I could apply it to any resort.

People have been able to book mods and deluxe resorts with the 40%.

By the way, did you get the code today? Was it email or "snail mail"? Just curious! I'm holding out hope!

I booked Coronado with the code. I asked and they said it is the same offer as the values. My rate for 6 nights in value season was $603.

Yes, you can book a moderate or deluxe resort. However it is based on availability. You may want to call as soon as possible to be sure they have rooms available at the 40% off rate for POR.

I just received it (%40 off) today in a e-mail today.
I had signed up for e-mails long long ago never relized there were pin #s until I stumbled across this board. Mine says for Disney Value Resorts I am going to call and see if I can use it on a mod resort.

I just used the 40% code to book the GF and BC for late August. No problem at all.

I just booked my 40% off today for the POP, added prefered rooms and deluxe dinning. I was going to wait for free dinning but when I had them price with 40% off adding deluxe it was only costing me an extra $286 for 8 nights 9 days. By the way CM who took my reservation told me that hopefully by end of March should be able to book ADR's 180 days out again.

They informed me that I did have a promo code but it was for up until the end of July ? Do they usually run more specials ? Should I hold out on my Resv or just go ahead and book it ? It's gonna run us $ 3,471 for a mod resort , dining plan, 5 day hopper for 2 adults and 3 children ages 3-6 .....

Yes, you can book a moderate or deluxe resort. Howevery it is based on availability. You may want to call as soon as possible to be sure they have rooms available at the 40% off rate for POR.

Resort only. If you want to make it a package you will be paying 40% off room rate + full price dining + full price tickets.

I didn't get an email and they didn't seem to check for a pin but I was able to get the 40% off. The CM I spoke to said it can be used for a room only or a package (only room is discounted) but it is only for those dates exactly. Two of our nights didn't fall in the date range so they are at full price though I need to call back and see if we can get AAA for those nights...
