4 Ways to Make Magic for Other Guests at Walt Disney World

Those are nice ideas. I've got a couple more...

-If I have a small amount of money left on a gift card and I know it's my last purchase of the trip, I've handed it to the person in line behind me.

-A mom with a tired child in her arms, or a pregnant belly, always appreciates it when they are given a seat on a crowded bus. I've been there and lugging a heavy 20 pound boy is a killer on the back and it's not easy to balance on those busses.

-if you're standing in a crowd, it's always thoughtful to let the little kids step in front of you. We were watching my boys on stage at Jedi Training and we let the kids behind step up to see their sister. The parents were thankful.

I love to hear of any other nice ideas.

At the dollar store, Michael's craft store or Target you can often buy packs of glow stick bracelets -10 or 12 in a cylinder for a dollar. My sister and I would bring them with and take them out while waiting for parades and fireworks, sharing them with the kids sitting around us. (With their parent's permission of course.)

It occupies the kids for awhile- most kids love cracking them and helping to assemble them. Often we were in crowded areas that were made a little friendlier once the glow sticks came out.

I miss being able to give away unused paper Fastpasses. (But the new system works much better for my needs).

We almost always seem to have dining credits left on our DDP at the end of the trip (no matter how much we think we eat, it's never enough!) so we'll "buy" lunch for whoever we can. At BOG the 2 girls at the table next to us weren't going to order dessert and we weren't going to order ours because we had eaten so much that day so we just had them order dessert and "bill" it to our DDP. I don't think we'll be able to do that anymore since we're moving from the Deluxe to the regular plan, but it was something we knew we could do to make another guest's day a little easier.

Last summer a girl that was about to check out of Poly gave DD her Mickey balloon because she couldn't take it on the plane. DD was thrilled and it stayed on our stroller the rest of the trip! I thought this was so sweet :)

I've always done the offering to take someone's photo with their group one. It's easy, and it's almost always appreciated. And it's an easy one for the other person to say "No thanks" to without it being a big deal.

Sayhello

Me too! I work in a really touristy part of London so when I'm out at lunchtimes I sometimes ask people if they want me to take their picture - although sometimes they look at me as though I'm about to steal their camera :lmao:

I am the same way, I (being somewhat local), Was on a day trip when I saw a family of 5 trying to take a family portrait selfie style. When I offered to take the photo for them they were so shocked and thankful it made the rest of my trip.

My DD16, her friend and I were Disney bounding as Princesses. We had wands with our Princess on it. Towards the end of the day I saw a very adorable little Cinderella and said, "Excuse me. My favorite Princess is Cinderella. I have this wand with Cinderella on it and I don't have any room in my suitcase to take it home with me. I was hoping that maybe you could help me by taking care of it for me?" She said yes and I gave it to her. I was fortunate enough to see her awhile later marching up Main Street with her wand held high. Her Mom saw me and we shared a smile. My DD and her friend found young Belle and little Tinkerbell and gifted them with wands too. Best $5 I spent at Party City!

I also gave our pool noodle to a little girl at the pool on our last night.

We made a bunch of bags of microwave popcorn, brought them to the poolside movie and shared them with our new friends.

My DS8 received some glow bracelets at the Frozen fireworks. Thank you Giver!!

We always get our son a light up balloon the first night. We take it to the front desk and them to give it to someone checking in with small kids.
