4 th of July suggestions

DD, SIL, two GS, wife and I will be in the World during the 4th of July frenzy.

We've decided to do our 4th at MK on the 3rd in the hopes that it will be just a teeny bit less crowded.

I'm guessing that AK and HS will be our best choices for the the 4th with HS getting the nod since it's open at night and AK isn't .

Is that a good choice? Any suggestions to celebrate the actual 4th while not going to MK?

The crowd calendars suggest AK.

DHS normally has fireworks on the 4th. Its a fun show, but it's very crowded...the sort of day where you only go on rides with a FP , or catch some shows.

Here is my suggestion for the 4th of July in WDW.

Morning breakfast at a resort, i.e. Boma, cape may cafe, Ohana.... or whatever floats your boat

after breakfast hit a water park for opening yes it will eventually get crowded..or you can opt for a pool day depending on how cool the pool is where you are staying

hit the resort later in the afternoon for a shower, nap, change then go to a nice dinner in the epcot resort area and then wait for the fireworks from either epcot of DHS you will be able to see them from the EP resort area or you can duck into International gateway and go see illuminations

Depending on the age of any kids head over to ESPN zone for a drink or just go back to your resort and preapre for the 5th of July

I know not everyone will agree with this but its just MHO

Anyway you slice it the 4th of July and the surrounding days will be crowded in all parks and MK will be at capacity by maybe 11 AM with EP and HS shortly after i dont recall seeing AK at capacity becasue of the size of the park, but i am sure it has happend
