Is 4 nights long enough to see and do most everything?

I have 7 days but I want to do some Hollywood type siteseeing and also go to Universal.

What do you think?

I find that 4 nights is perfect for me and dd. We spend the afternoon of the day we arrive in DL, 2nd day DL, 3rd day CA, 4th day DL - repeating anything we really like or catching anything we missed, 5th day - early shopping on Main Street then the drive home. At least that as the schedule for our last trip in Feb and I'm planning roughly the same schedule for our trip in Dec. We were able to do eveything that we really wanted, including watching the fireworks on two nights and catching the DELP. It really worked out for us. There were a couple rides we didn't get to, such as Splash M. because when we were ready to go on it, it was down. I also skipped ToT, by choice, and we didn't have time for Bugs land at CA because we spent too long at breakfast (Minnie and Friends over in DL)

So depending on what you want to accomplish, I think it works out great!!

I want to do the main big rides and shows, parades and eat at some good restaurants, also have a little pool time if it's good weather. We would check in at night and then have 3 full days and then a half day...

Maybe I should add an extra day for insurance.

During the three full days we spent in the parks, we went back to our room each afternoon for no less than 2 hrs, up to 4 hrs. and we always left the park by 10:30 even though it was open until midnight.

We used a MM to ride Nemo and we went straight to SM after and walked on. This was during Pres Day weekend and it was super busy. Most rides didn't have a wait longer than 20 min and we used FP once or twice.

Anyway, hope this helps!

We do 3 full days and 2 half days ( 1/2 day on arrival and 1/2 day on departure day). We are able to do all of the character meals, shows and all of the rides atleast once with many multiple times.
Make sure you are there at rope drop each day and utilize fastpass

Ecellent information, thanks... I think I will make it 5 nights just so I am sure. I still have a lot of time for planning :)

I do have one other question... would you know how long the drive is from Disneyland to San Franciso?

When my family went to Disneyland the first time we stayed for 4 nights. We all thought that it wasn't enough time. But if you want to get in all-the-rides-possible I might suggest a 5 day pass. And that you should spend as-much-time in the park as possible. Then you will be able to spend a day at each Hollywood sight seeing and Universal. :thumbsup2

I take it the parks are open late in the summer? like to 10 or 11pm?

Disney to SF is about 6 hrs (assuming you don't hit traffic in either city)

i'm basing this on--an 8 hr trip from Monterey, CA (less than 2 hrs S of SF) to SD -- being 8 hrs. (again, can be a bit faster if no traffic)

i'm sure others have something else to say about it as well?:goodvibes

Midnight? that's awesome... they never do that at WDW, well maybe new years, but it always closes early whenever I go.

i live 2 hours from pretty much the entire bay area and sac. and it takes me about 5 hours to get to DL...unless your driving after midnite or something, expect traffic...I could get to anaheim from LA in less than 25 minutes if there was no traffic but it can take anywhere from 35 min. to 1 1/2 hours if you go at the wrong time...Ive noticed in LA, commute traffic can start anywhere after 2pm and once that hits forget it ....you will be in stop and go traffic so you cant go by that above statement...dont assume...expect:lmao:
