Finally getting around to posting our trip summary.
We couldn't have asked for better weather! Everyday was absolutely beautiful!
Highlights:
1. Boarding early and kids having Mickey pool to themselves for a little bit.
2. Having the 8:30 seating - gave us plenty of time to enjoy the ship a little less crowded as others were either at dinner or at the show. We saw all the shows last year, so we wanted to try other things this time.
3. Kids going to kids club for formal night. Gave DH and I some time together.
4. Missing tablemates - we were seated at a table for 8, but the others never showed up for dinner, so DH and I had the table to ourselves on formal night. Very nice.
5. Servers Corskun and Claudio were great! Corskun knew both of our kids names and ages and joked around with them alot when they were there. Claudio (asst. server) was excellent and very personable. First night at PC, DH took DS to the restroom and while he was gone, Claudio pretended to spill a hot cup of coffee on the gentleman next to us. The reaction was priceless, so he said he would do it to DH when he got back. I had the hardest time keeping a straight face as Claudio approached the table with the cup, but he got him! It was really funny!!
6. Kids Clubs - enabled DH and I to enjoy some quality time together.
7. Cove Cafe - a great place to get out of the sun and enjoy some quiet time. Never even looked in this place on our first cruise and ended up in there several times a day this time.
8. Entertainment - Match Your Mate was a great time. On our first cruise, we never made it past the shows b/c we were so tired, but this time we scheduled our day so that we could enjoy some of the night activities. Just wish the adult parties started earlier (10:30 would be good!).
9. Castaway Cay - Water was much warmer than last year! Scavenger Hunt (a littler harder than I thought...must have been too much sun!!)
10. Shutters - only took us 4 tries to finally get a family photo that was good enough to buy! Ended up with a good picture on CC with the ship behind us, but my DD was out in the water, so she didn't make it in the picture and I couldn't buy a picture with her missing!
11. Nassau - with everyone off the ship, we enjoyed the adult pool and jacuzzi with a few others cruisers who decided not to get off the ship.
12. Character autographs on the 8X10 memo boards I gave to Guest Services as we boarded the ship. Got them back at the end of the cruise and hung them on the kids bedroom walls once we were home. They found them and were very excited! It was a nice surprise after our trip.
13. Room Host - Frani was absolutely wonderful! The room was great and he was so quick to clean it! The towal animals were great! All that money and the kids look forward to the towel animals more than anything!
Non-Highlights:
1. Pools - Very crowded when the Mickey Pool shut down and on our day at sea, could not even find a chair!
2. People moving stuff from our loungers. Watched one woman walk up to our lounger and just move our stuff (shoes, towels, etc.) without even hesitating.
3. Bingo - I didn't win
Had I won, it would have made my highlight list! Very addicting...once you play once, you just want to go back and try to win everytime!
We really had a great time and have already booked another 3 night cruise for next year.
