4 Newbies and 1 Good-As: A February 2024 Lessons Learned TR COMPLETE 4/20/24

Thanks for all the wonderful tips~ hope the cruise is a successful rest and you write a report then as well!

Wow, I am behind, I thought you had finished your report, but there was so much I hadn't read still. I'm glad the trip home was uneventful, sorry it was covid, but "stuff happens"! Glad you didn't pass it to your family. There was one person who was really hacking terribly on our Mears back to the airport so I had pretty much convinced myself I'd be sick, but nope, we were all ok!

That is so exciting about the Disney cruise! We did one to Alaska last year when DD was 5, so if you have any specific questions, you can PM me!

Thanks, and thanks for reading along! I hope I’ll manage a TR; I had fun writing this one!

Oh, those hacking coughs on public transport can be concerning! Glad you didn’t catch whatever it was.

Ooh, I hope you had a fabulous time! Alaska’s on my bucket list. 😀 DH’s idea of a cruise though is beaches, so I’m not sure I can get him on board, but maybe one day! (We’re doing Bahamas—ports of call at Lighthouse Point, Nassau, and Castaway.)

I will definitely PM you if I have questions, especially about cruising with a 5 year old! Thanks!

Forgot to mention my DD loved the kids club, but definitely do the open house first to get her comfy with it and meet the leaders in advance

Thanks for the reminder! Yeah, our DD really needs some prep to get used to new things (I say as I recall the near-meltdown at kindergarten orientation last week...) We'll be sure to make the kids club open house on embarkation day a priority. :)

My DD also really liked that they could call me to pick her up any time and we'd come get her, and also we stopped to check in on her once the first time and she was totally fine and said come back later :P

That’s too funny! I’m glad she enjoyed the club so much. We’ll definitely reassure ours that we can be called to come pick her up!

Hey there, I know this trip report is a couple months old now but wanted to drop a quick thank you note! I'm planning on taking my 3 year old to HS and Epcot next February, also currently booked at CBR. I'm apprehensive about rope roping and moving through the park with a stroller/lollygagging toddler and it was helpful to see your travel times and ride order. I also really appreciate all the bathroom/toilet notes, mine is also newly trained and apprehensive of public toilets (the automatic flush is terrifying!)...this is the kind of good stuff you can't get from travel itineraries :)

Hi! I’m glad you found the report helpful! Yeah, it’s very hard to get an idea from the various review sites or even touring plan sites about what actually proves realistic with a young child. Of course every child and family is different but for me I definitely had to seriously readjust my expectations for what we could get done! But despite the momentary stresses we had a great time overall, and February was, at least for us, an excellent time to go! Not at all too hot.

We loved CBR, hope you enjoy it too! Thanks for reading!!
