I have all our ADRs made for our upcoming trip for 5 people. D now says she is starting a new job and probably won't be able to go. I am frantically trying to get ADRs for 4. I've got everything lined up except Chef Mickey's. The only available time I am able to get is at 9:30 on a night I didn't really want it. If we have an ADR for 5, but show up with 4, will they let us in? Thanks!

I would jsut show up with four people. Peopel show up all the time with one or two people less due to illness or some other circumstance. I wouldn't give up a Chef Mickey ADR jsut because you have one less person. When you sign in, just tell them, you are only going to have four in your party tonight.

Yes, by all means, don't worry about it. They don't really make plans unless you're talking a big party, or potentially if food allergies are involved. It happens all the time. Just show up and tell them you only have 4 not 5.

I agree! They'll probably be thrilled they only have to seat a 4 top table instead of a 5! Don't stress! On one of our last trips, I made ADR's for 4, not counting that baby makes 5! OOPS! I had no problems getting in, even at Le Cellier! (NOT that I recommend doing that, I felt terrible!!!)

The cm I spoke with today was able to modify our Ohana reservation to 2 people instead of 3. I guess with the new system they are able to change it without actually canceling it. He told me that you would have to wait as a walk up for a table of the correct size if you show up to restuarant with a different number of people from that on your reservation. He also said that people have been turned away from restuarants when the party size doesn't match the number of guest on the reservation and their table is given to a walk up party of the correct size. I'm not sure if they just say this or if it's actually the case. I'd imagine it would become more of an issue during busier times and if you are going from a different size table for example a 4 top to a 6 top. I would just call and see if they can modify your current reservation to 4 people for you. :goodvibes

I would just go and don't change all your ADR's...when you check in just let them know the 5th person changed their mind. On our last vacation we traveled with my friends (3 people)....we schedule a few meals together but ended up changing our schedules around when we got there so when we check in we just told them they changed their minds...anyway the restaurants did not give us any problems.
