4 Hot Mamas take on the World 9/2011! *UPDATE 8/31* I'm leaving TODAY!!!

EE!! No doubt about it here! Love the prayer flags, I have so many shots of them from our trip, it's embarrassing! In fact, I came home from our first trip to AK and strung some prayer flags up in our back yard over the deck. They are still there (what's left of them!).

Love the photo:thumbsup2
My favorite at AK was the safari ride and kali river rapids would be my second. I've never done dinosaur, and will never do EE! lol

I didn't get to ride EE last year, DH and DS8 (7 at the time) went on it and I stayed with the younger one. I'm fine with rollercoasters as long as they don't go upside down. This time I'll ride it with DS8, DS5 will still be too short. I'm sure it will become my favorite!

I love the flags at AK, they're so beautiful! AK is my least favorite park, but some parts of that park are so amazing, the attention to detail is fantastic!

My favorite attraction at AK is Expedition Everest, no question! Love it! :cool1:

After I took the photo, I glanced over at my DH and he was looking at me like I was crazy, LOL! I think the flags are pretty, and they make an interesting photo... I hope to get more "not-so-ordinary" photos while I'm there in September!

I've done KRR once, and it was great! I've ridden Dinosaur once, too... but it wasn't great. That's one ride I'll never do again, LOL!

Oh, I hope you like EE... it's the best coaster at WDW, in my opinion!

Another EE lover... yay! :thumbsup2

I know! I'm so excited, I can hardly wait! But last night as I was pouring over the WDW guide book I have, my DH looked at me like I'd gone crazy. He doesn't see the point in planning this trip so early!

My dh feels that all the early planning is what helps for us to have a somewhat less hectic trip, and is glad that I do it.....as long as he doesn't have to do much this far out! :rotfl:

And I just can't hide it! :rotfl:

I was FINALLY able to get with Mom, Heather and Helen this past weekend as to what expectations they have in mind for our trip... what rides they want to go on, what rides they don't mind to skip, if they want to be sure to catch the afternoon parades, etc.

Now I can start to plan our itineraries! :woohoo:

Until then, I wanted to show off what I made today...

It's a lemon sugar hand scrub (uhhh, if you couldn't already tell that, LOL). It's Teacher Appreciation Week at my DDs' school... each day the students bring in a gift for their teacher and tomorrow is "spa day". I found the recipe for this scrub online and thought I'd give it a try! It's very easy... just sugar, extra virgin olive oil, and lemon juice! Now all I need to do is find a bit of ribbon so I can tie on the tag.

I think it turned out great, but next time I'll add more lemon juice and maybe some lemon zest in hopes to get it more lemon-y (right now I smell more of the olive oil).

Maybe I'll even make some more for Mother's Day gifts!

As a teacher:teacher:, I must say that I would love to receive this!!!

That sugar scrub looks great! What a good idea! :thumbsup2 I'm glad you got together with your mom and sister, can't wait to hear more details.

The scrub looks pretty, I'm sure the teacher will love it!

:woohoo: for getting together and getting some plans in the works. Hey people (DH's in particular) might think we're crazy for planning so early and so much, but they sure appreciate when we are there and they question something, and guess what, WE know the answers!

Well, well, well! Look at you :thumbsup2

I had no idea you were doing a pre-trip report! I have been contemplating one, too - but as you know I can't keep up with my own blog - nor did I finish my first trip report - so I just don't know. But...I do love my dis interactions;)

I still say you should ditch your family and come with us - or better yet, do both - or even part of the week with Angie and me!!

That Lemon Sugar Scrub looks awesome! :thumbsup2 And yay for finally getting to plan your itineraries! :cool1:

I  the sugar scrub - what a great idea! We don't have a teacher appreciation week - I would love for that to be introduced in the UK! :lmao:

Yay at being able to plan your itinerary!

I love that I found you on here.

And now... you've planted the idea in my head. That maybe I could fly down towards the end of your week and meet up with you guys! Then somehow meet up with my bunch...

You're right! They do appreciate it (my DH included) when the trip goes smoothly. DH just thinks I could do all this planning within the last month or so before the trip, not 5 months out, LOL!

I am hoping that I am inspiring you to take an even longer trip - and maybe I can even persuade you to get an AP like me and Angie. You too need a year of Disney!!

Nothing really to update... except to say that I may have a slight change to my trip plans. If it works out, I will be over the moon :cloud9: and cannot wait too share what those plans will be!!!
