Okay so we leave in 4 well practically 3 days!!! This is our first adult trip to DL is there anything that we have to do that is hard to do with the kids that we should do or you would do if you where us?
I already have a partial list from our 6 month planning adventures here they are in no particular order:
Tigger Tails and the Store that sells them (I know where it is but not what it is called)
All the "Big" Kids rides from my previous list
Blue Bayou
DL at night with no kids
I think I may be missing so much more, thoughts? :confused3

We brought Grandma one year and enjoyed a little adult time.

We went on all the big kid rides, even though I was scared. We went for a drink in DTD.

It was nice to watch the fireworks with a churro and a coke sitting on a bench because we sat there early enough.

I've heard great things about the steakhouse at the DLH and the wine place in DCA.

I just enjoyed wandering the park after dark and looking at the lights and holding hands. We never get to do that with the boy!

We rode Buzz together so we had a pic of both of us in one vehicle:rotfl2:

The first night we went really fast trying to get everything we wanted to do in. Grandma was nice and gave us a second evening where we just slowed down and strolled. They were both fun nights!!

Oh and we got beignets in DTD before going back to the hotel!

We loved sitting in Cove Bar (upstairs at Ariel's) and enjoying drinking out of glass glasses and eating with silverware and off of real plates. We always seem to do a lot of counter service when we are with the kids - so it was nice to sit and relax in the shade and have something cold to drink. We shared an order of lobster nachos and they were yummy.

We didn't rush when DH and I were there together. We did only the things we wanted to do and did some shopping and some wandering around and we looked in all the stores. I would definitely not have gone into some of the crystal stores or other fancier stores with a stroller and little kids (even though my kids are well behaved - they would be bored), so it was fun to do that with my hubby.

DH and took our first grown-up trip last January for our 15th Anniversary. It was so wonderful to just relax and enjoy. We did whatever we wanted, and the lack of scheduling was part of the thrill for us. :goodvibes Like cirquelovers said, it was a new and wonderful experience just to wander and hold hands, with no rush or demand. We strolled through all the shops and looked at durable grown up items instead of candy and toys. :lmao: A romantic dinner at Wine Country Trattoria was also a treat. We also took the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, which we loved!

I hope you have an amazing time!

DH and I did the Segway tour at DCA on our anniversary trip last September. It was so much fun!

Since you haven't seen it yet, go see Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. That is something your little ones probably wouldn't sit through.

Definitely hit Cove Bar by Ariels.

Wander around the hotels, I know it's hard to do that when the kids want to go on rides.

I like the ride picture on Buzz idea!

I am looking forward to the low key feel to it all. Not having to give 4 baths at night or change 4 kids into their swim suits ect. Don't get me wrong I'm sad to be away from them this long but at the same time I seriously need a break!!!
So where exactly is Cove Bar?

WE all need breaks from time to time. I have 4 too and Grandma went with us last time so we had a couple of nights free. Blue Bayoo would definitely be more enjoyable without the kidlings. Try to remember to ask for a waterside table.

We enjoyed being able to stroll up to fantasmic as it started and then make out way to the fireworks. That would be nearly impossible with 4 little ones.

Just looking through the shops is a bonus. :)

You'll have so much fun

jacs1234- You're kids are so CUTE!! I have all four girls! I see you have three boys and girl! Very sweet family!! : )
As my children run down the hallway chasing each other and squealing at the top of their lungs, the break is really needed! :rotfl: I have spent the last 10 years pregnant or taking care of baby and even though I have massive "Baby withdrawals" (as we call it) and love my girls to pieces, I still need a break so that I can come back ready to go for another 10! LOL!! Between tutoring, Chorus, Church classes and homework just for the two oldest. I am so exhausted some days!! But with four of your own I am guessing you totally get me! ;)

Just wanted to say have a wonderful trip! You will have a great time and when you get home you'll love your 4 girls even more! (if possible:love:)

DBF and I love our trips when its just the 2 of us. Its so nice and relaxing. We ride what we want and skip something if we dont want to do it. We have like to try out a new hotel bar or something like that everytime were there with just the 2 of us.
Last trip we went into GC lobby and sat down and had a drink. We wanted to go to the cove bar but it was not open.
I think that it is the best time we have together. I do miss our girls but its so nice to not have a ton of things to cary around, and have a potty break in the middle of a line. Or to skip the rides that we dont really like going on. Well I make DBF go on the kids rides that i like. :D
We are going down there next week for a last min trip just the two of us. The our girls have no idea. :-) sometimes parents just have to get away every now and then.
