4 days/nights of eating at the world, to include Le Cellier!

The next night, the night of my actual birthday, we went to Citricos in the Grand Floridian...this is both mine & DH's favorite. We have yet to walk out of there not completely 110% satisfied.

They always go above & beyond our expectations, and I think between the two of us, we have tried everything on the menu, and nothing has ever dissapointed!!

We also always request Chafik, who is a FANTASTIC waitor....:lmao: He remembers us every time we go back..

We got a really nice table in the back, facing the glass windows by the pool. Loved it.

The chef sent out this soup, which is not on the menu...it was some sort of black bean soup, with shredded beef..it was really good, and refreshing.

We started off with a Salad of Romaine Lettuce

This was also very tasty...It had a delectable dressing, which was a garlic cream, but like all mediterranean cuisine, just had the flavor of garlic...not overwhelming..but just enough to really add that flavor.
That "breadstick" there is actually an anchovy -garlic breadstick, and was equally delicious!

We also had the new Crab appetizer. Now, we always get the Gatau of Crab, but alas, they changed the menu..we are happy to report, this was just as good, if not better
This appetizer was called " Blue Crab Pave": This was lump crab, capers, lemon, fennel-celery salad, avocado and an olive oil vinagerette. YUMMY!!! Can't wait to go back in october!!!

We gobbled this up so fast, I forgot the pic :sad2:
I promise, the next trip review will be much better with the pics!! :hippie:

Now for the entrees:
I had the Swordfish...This was out of this world good, and cooked to perfection, as always :cloud9:

Oak Grilled Atlantic swordfish, over Papperdelle Pasta, Kalamata Olives, sun dried tomatoes, and white wine reduction....

Even the presentation makes my mouth water all over again :rotfl2:

DH had the Oak Grilled Filet of Beef, which he tends to favor when we go there..This comes with Spanish onions, Peppadew & banana peppers, four cheese mashed potatoes and some sort of wine-glaze...OMG..SO GOOD!!! Cooked perfectly, as always!

You think he liked it??

And, very sweetly, they sent out dessert, and MAN was it good!
It was some sort of chocolate-banana torte, that had a gooey choclate center...:cloud9:

All in all, a fabulous meal as always!
After this, we went to MK for Extra magic hours, and walked off our meal, went on Splash mountain continously, and had a great night!
Awesome birthday!

Next up:
Captain's Grille & 'Ohana

This was by far, a wonderful experience.

FF has always been a consistent favorite of ours, so when I heard about this and told DH, he was on board right away. I called disney dining back in february to book our May 8th dinner.
FYI- You must pay in full at the time of booking.

We opted for the later seating, the 8:15.
We were seated promptly at the chef's counter, next to two other very nice couples. This was our view

It was pretty neat to watch the action of the kitchen! popcorn::

Love your reviews! We are going to some of the same places in November, so it's nice to get a " sneak peek ". I have a question about the Flying Fish, i didn't realize the menu was preset. Do you know if they offer a vegitarian version? Can't wait for the O'hana review!:goodvibes

What a wonderful birthday meal! I absolutely love the Grand Floridian - it is such a gorgeous resort!

Your Flying Fish menu looked amazing! We have done it twice now and think it's one of the BEST meals on property! Thank you for sharing!! :goodvibes
