I have 4 free days at Art of Animation and wife is looking into going to a different hotel. The main pool is closed at AoA and we want to try something different. We have 2 kids (3 and 6) and have been Coronado and Caribbean Beach. We really like CB but the multiple bus stops is a killer which made AoA appealing especially with the 2 room suites but we no longer need the space. Does Disney help with luggage transfer or would we have to load up the Skyliner with the luggage?

Bell services will transfer your luggage between resorts; I believe you have to call once you're at your new resort to have your luggage delivered.
Luggage is not allowed on the buses, monorail, boats, or Skyliner.
Have you looked into the Gran Destino Tower at Coronado? Port Orleans French Quarter?

I am starting to look now. I used to love CB but the transportation is horrible but with Skyliner, I will only need it for 2 parks so it's back in play. Any reasons why you picked Gran Destino Tower at Coronado and Port Orleans French Quarter?

I mentioned French Quarter because I really like the resort; it's quite small, and only has one bus stop, which was a criterion you mentioned. You can also get a boat from there to Disney Springs.
I haven't visited Gran Destino Tower yet, but that's a resort I've been considering for an upcoming trip. It seems pretty easy in terms of transportation. I'm having dinner there on my next trip.

I'd reconsider CBR!!! Its the main hub for the skyliner, that means no transfers. Which means you'll get to the park quicker! (epcot or hs). If youre staying at AoA for example, you'd have to transfer (hop off at CBR, then continue onto the park). So i'd definitely reconsider CBR. Skyliner is much quicker than buses. Besides, with skyliner running they only send one bus per hour for Epcot/HS.

You don't like the multiple bus stops at CBR.
You don't like that the main pool at AoA is/will be closed during your stay.
You do like a single, unshared bus stop.
You do like the Skyliner.
Result: Riviera or Pop Century!

Wife thinks Pop Century isn't nearly as nice as CBR. This is what I am working with :)

Bell services will, in fact, move your luggage to your new resort while you're at the park. I've done it before -- t's quite convenient. You give your luggage to the bellhop at the first resort, and they'll bring it to your room once you're at the second resort. Quite easy!

So, you'd have to be out of the current room by 10AM and then re-check into the next resort, correct?
