All i can say is WOW on these prices:confused3. We paid less (a lot less) to sail on the 3rd sailing of the Fantasy w/ 2a 2c in a family oceanview room during April vacation week! Those prices are just wrong. :sad2:

I'm shocked by the amount of money they are charging ... I know NYC is an expensive port, I've left from it twice, but OMG! these prices are outrageous for a Bahama itinerary...

I'm so undecided what to do - either go over Easter break '12 and pay about 2k less. Even with flying i'm sure it'll be less.

I so want my daughter to experience Disney - actually I do too!! Maybe a 2 nighter during the summer will work better... I have to look into it instead of the 8 nighter.

We've already done Canada on another cruise line and wasn't happy with the ports, so to do it again, nah!

7/8/12 - 5nt to Canada - 9C - 2A/2C (8,5) = $3660.56 (OBB)
7/13/12 - 2nt to nowhere - 9C - 2A/2C (8,5) = $2150.51 (no OBB or ins)
7/13/12 - 2nt to nowhere - 9C - 2A/2C (8,5) = $2295.12 (inc. insurance)

Ok. All I can say is :scared1::scared1:

I went ahead and held one while dh and I give it some additional talks.. :confused3

11/17/2012 - 7 night Thanksgiving
2 Adults 2 Children (ages 4 & 10) by then.
Category 9C $ $5126.40
Category 9B $ 5005.44
Category 10B $4839.12

12/21/2012 8 Night Christmas
Category 9C $ $7933.72
Category 9B $7743.84
Category 10B $7087.72

We held the Cat 9C (Deluxe ocean view) for Christmas. I will probably pay the deposit and just hold it while we continue to think until our cruise in June.

By the way the hold time was only 19 minutes on the Castaway Line.

Ok, I had no choice, I changed my reservation to the 11/17/12 cruise. Much cheaper and not so much of a sticker shock involved.

The prices are really something else, but at least that is much better than the alternative for Christmas.

We are thinking of doing it. More than I would normally spend but if we did two nights in NYC at a nice hotel it would be about $300 per night with taxes, parking, etc. Add 3 meals on Saturday, two meals on Friday and breakfast on Sunday the cruise doesn't come up to much more than we would spend on land.

It would be a nice get away for DH and I as we always travel with the children but being in driving distance, less than an hour, we can have my sister watch the kids for a weekend.

We priced a cat 10A for August 10th for $1046. I was able to hold a SPH room
We usually book a balcony but for a two nighter we won't be in the room hardly at all and the balcony was $500 more

Funny that you mention that. We are booked for a 5 nt over Easter break. It's $3000 for the cruise and probably $2000 for airfare for 4 of us since that's peak time. So I can pay $5000 for a 5 nt cruise or $5100 for an 8 nt cruise and not have to stress about when to buy flights, etc.
It's all the same in the end, just the matter of who you send your $ to.
