We are thinking about doing a land/sea vacation for Spring Break 06. We are looking at the week of 3/12 in doing 4 days at WDW and then 3 on the Wonder.

We have been to WDW several times with the last trip in March 04 but have never been on a cruise. I was thinking this would be a good schedule to try it out.

For folks that have done this 4/3 combo how has it been? Did you enjoy yourself or was it too rushed? Any thoughts are welcome. TQ

We just did the 3land/4sea in June, not exactly what you are planning but I can tell you that we loved it. It was our first cruise and DS8's first trip to WDW (DW & I hadn't been in many, many years).

We didn't feel rushed either at WDW or onboard, but everyone is different. There are a few things we will do differently on our next, which we also plan to do as a 3land/4sea (such as more time in MGM, less time in DTD, and hitting a beach in Nassau rather than exploring the shops).

You are sure to get a lot of feedback on this topic, but let me be the first to point out that if you spend 4 days at WDW, that is four days worth of meals to pay for. If you spend four days on the ship, those four days worth of meals are already paid for when you pay off the trip.

We did the 4/3 land and sea in May/June 2004. This was our first Disney cruise, and honestly, we were so exhausted from WDW before (we actually spent 5 nights there, by adding on a day early), that it was hard to fully relax and enjoy the ship. I even stayed on the ship when we stopped at Naussau, in order to try to enjoy the ship more. I just mentioned to DH that we missed alot on the cruise because we were in bed every night by 10 or 10:30, because we were so tired.

We are going on the 7 night Western Sept 10, so I am hoping the extra time (and no WDW beforehand) will allow us to more fully enjoy the cruise.
