We will be on this cruise. It will be DH and I and DD who will be 10 and DS who will be 8. We've been to WDW several times but this is our first Disney Cruise. We are a bit nervous as DH and I took a Carnival 7 Night in 2001 and hated it. I am optimistic that we will find Disney more to our liking.
Never cruised any other line & this'll be our 3rd DCL cruise. But, I remember flying home from our 1st one & recognizing someone on our flight home had also been on our cruise. We started talking about how great it was & how it was our 1st. She said that she had been on other lines & DCL had now officially ruined all the other cruiselines for her forever! We will be on this cruise. Getting close to the one year mark!
Welcome and hello to all of the new members!! I will be making the list updates soon. Once they are done, please refer back to post #116 on page 8 and let me know what else you would like added!
So is anyone super excited about the announcement for the Magic coming to NY next summer? I have to say, I'm not too thrilled. I will probably get myself onto at least one of the 2-night "no where" cruises just to be on the ship. I can't wait to drive down the West Side Highway in NYC and see that ship there!!
Hope that everyone is well despite this horrible weather!!

Hello Everyone!!! Finally coming out of hiding to introduce myself. We booked this cruise when it first opened up but had to convince DH to do it. We just got off a B2B cruise on the Dream and had a fabulous time!!! The ship was amazing, the staterooms are gorgeous, the beds are so comfortable. Not everything was perfect but the good definitely outweighed the bad.
When we talked to our server at Palo she said the Fantasy will be about 95% the same as the Dream. They will make some small changes based on what they have discovered now that the Dream is sailing in full force.
We will be staying in a cat. 8B which is a deluxe family oceanview, we have the same exact room we had on the Dream, we were happy with the size and very happy with the location.
Cruising will be me (DW), DH, DS 11/12, DD 10, DS 8 (the ages are all at the time of sailing. Can't wait!!!

I will be sailing on the Dream in August. Do you have any tips?
The ship is gorgeous!!!! I am totally missing the super comfy beds and covers, not those old yucky spreads from the Wonder!
The Sea Bass from Enchanted Garden was my favorite meal, perhaps not my favorite restaurant but boy was that good!!! There will always be a line for the AquaDuck, the most I ever waited was about 30 minutes. I LOVED this ride, not exactly heart-pounding but soooooo fun!!! See the show Believe, it was wonderful, brought a tear to my eye. Play Bingo in the D Lounge, a family favorite. There are lots of lounge chairs on Deck 13 on the family side, not as crowded. Play mini golf with Goofy, have a mango-strawberry margarita (even the virgin is delicious).
Anything specific questions????
Can a non-new englander sail on this cruise? lol Booked back in January. Not sure how many we will end up with but have reserved 4 rooms for 14 of us from Minnesota! Can't wait to explore the new ship!!
Thank you for sharing. How was the embarkation process? Did you select an arrival time when you did onlin check-in? Did you always go to your assigned show time? How were the lines going into the restaurants?

We selected the 11:00-11:30 check-in time but arrived at the port around 10:15 ish. We waited in line with everyone waiting to get past the security gate, once inside we filled out the health form and got in the Castaway Cay line, as we got into line we were given Boarding Pass #12. While we were checking in I asked if our Boarding # should correlate to our check-in time, he said yes and that we actually were supposed to be #7, which he changed on our pass and sent us on our way!
They have changed the show and dining times on the Dream. The shows were 6:15 and 8:30 and dining times were 5:45 and 8:15. We had the 8:15 seating so we went to the early show. Yes, there were lines for dinner that were ridiculous!!! After the first night we never even went down to dinner till about 8:20 and just caught the tail end of the line going into the dining rooms. It looked like the 5:45 seating didn't have many lines, probably because it's pretty early and people had a hard time leaving the fun on the ship!!!!
