4/14/2012 7-Nights Western Caribbean on the Fantasy

:laundy::dance3::hug::yay::yay:
I have updated the post. How much snow did you get? My DS wants it to snow so bad. I can live without the snow.

An extended verandah - how cool! I know you will enjoy it. I have updated the post on the first page.

I CANT WAIIIT FOR THIS CRUISE ARE WE MEETING UP????????????/:cheer2::cutie::scared1:

Thanks for organizing all of this! We are in 5546 (extended verandah... :cool1:!!), and we are staying at Royal Pacific Resort at Universal before the cruise (so we can check out Harry Potter world!).

We just went to Universal in November. We went just to check out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The scenery is great and the technology was amazing but we were really disappointed in the storyline. The ride is not for the faint of heart! It was off season and by noon the area was packed. It is very small and tight. To the Harry Potter section first thing. Leave as much personal belongings back in the room. You have to put your stuff in a locker for two of the rides. This can be time consuming and a bit hectic.

Thanks for updating. We are in Stateroom 8566 and will be staying at Boardwalk before the cruise and Beach Club after.

BigDogHU75 - not a lot of snow yet - just a light dusting so far, but apparently it's on its way. I am SO not looking forward to it! I am really not a winter person and we've been very lucky so far to not have any:) My kids are also looking forward to it...kids must have a different internal temperature regulator than we adults do lol!

Oh...and we are on Deck 12...sorry, forgot to include this for your next update:)

we will be there! me, DH, DS 16, DS12 and DD 10. We are also from MA. We're on deck 9 arriving Friday before and leaving Sunday after. So looking forward to it!!

So... sitting here in a storm and freezing (no snow this year, weird). And just thinking about our cruise
My husband is so looking forward to the warm weather, the kids are looking forward to all the fun and me? I just want to relax and spend time with the family.

I am starting to stress out about the Port Adventures. This is our first cruise, and since english is not our first language, I am a bit nervous about booking by myself and am a bit overwelmed at Disneys options. We really want to see the beach at Cayman Island and perhaps snorkle and I want to se Mayaruins in Mexico. ANy thoughts????? I have looked at Tulum ruins, and they look great. It states that they recommend it from 8 years old, and DS is 7, but he is used to walking so I'm guessing he will be ok?!
January 30th is coming soon...

And another question (sorry guys, I hope I'm not too much of a pain) I have looked at Palo and it looks fantastic, but I'm worried about the kids in the clubs. If they don't like it there (because of the language barrier DS speaks some english but not DS7) can I cancel Palo without penalty? Is brunch worth it?
So many questions, so little time...:scared1:

Woo Hoo!

The kids and I made the countdown calendar yesterday. 98 Days until we leave our home! It's coming quickly!

Welcome! We also have a DS 16 & our DD is 9. Lots of kids on here the same age. I'm sure many of them will be hanging out in the clubs together. Where in MA are you from? We're in Acushnet. (Little town sandwiched between New Bedford/Fairhaven) ;)

WELCOME FELLOW APRIL 14-21, 2012 FANTASY CRUISERS

Getting to know all of you DISers before the cruise helps make the cruise more are staying at a resort before and/or after the cruise, I can post it here. If people are interested in linked dining someone can spearhead that and I will post the names of those interested here. I can also post stateroom assignments. As I said, this thread is what you make it. Let the ideas flow. Let the chatting begin.

We are in stateroom 7521 and are staying at BLT before and Nick Hotel after. And my DD is Carys, DS is Chase

There is also an FE exchange through FB I've offered to coordinate for those who don't know. I am happy to combine with the DIS one if there is interest (I haven't yet spoken with Kat yet but I don't think she's been on in awhile - hope all is well with her). My DD is SO excited about the FE!

Thanks! My DS16 is worried he is not going to have anyone to hang out with. Looks like there are quite a few 15-17 yo traveling and I dont think it will be a problem. We are just north of Boston in Saugus.

I don't think your DS will have a problem. My DS is normally shy & he made friends the 1st night. Then we barely saw him after that.:rotfl: We had to make a rule that he eat dinner w/ us every night just so we could see him. And he literally ate & ran back to the club while still chewing!:rotfl:! He still talks to some of the kids he met on our cruise on Facebook.

The kids and I are so excited for our first Disney Cruise...we have been doing so much research and can't believe all the things we need to know. I can't wait to see the look on their faces as we walk onto the ship!
