This trip went too fast. But it is a gorgeous morning in my favorite spot in the world. We went out on our verandah, lots of others were on theirs, too. We watched us pull into Disney's incredible private island. AHHHH. How relaxing. Our Champagne Breakfast in Bed arrived (from the REAS package), DS was still snoozing. We ordered a ton of food and two mimosas. DH just wanted coffee so when Grandma arrived, I greeted her with a flute of mimosa. They were so good. We stuffed ourselves and lotioned up. Wake up, Luc! Its time to go to Castaway Cay! Finally,DS is ready and off we go. I decided to just leave the stroller behind so I was doing my best impersonation of a pack mule. "Let's hit the beach!" At this statement, Redhead bursts into tears and cries, "NOOOOOOO! I don't want to get in a cab, let's just go to the pool.Please. No cab." So I take my poor little sweetie to the verandah and say, "See, we just walk. No cab." Well, that puts a huge smile on her face and earns me a big hug. Off we go. We decide to just walk to the family beach. (Whew. Who decided that??) In the interim, we pass Goofy and stop for a photo. This only took 10 seconds but it was enough to lose Grandma and DS. Well, at least she isn't alone. I head to the first logical spot to find her, the shops. She is not to be found. I am mumbling how only Grandma can get lost on a straight path, when I pass LeiLani. Hi! We walk further and Grandma has found a spot for us. Well, it had shade and chairs.....but it was behind a huge hedge and the water wasn't visible at all. Not the best set up for watching small kids in the water. So DH walks a little further down and finds us an oasis. Umbrella, chairs and right by a pathway. Perfect. Grandma agrees this is much better.

I look forward to getting a Conch cooler and when I do it was wonderful. Got one for Grandma, too. Later I got DH a Corona in a really cute plastic bottle, nice souveneir. I got a Bon Voyage which I liked even better than my Conch cooler. We got ribs, burgers, hot dogs, lobster burgers and other goodies from Cookies. Then I hunted down the soft serve cookie dough ice cream. Oh My Goodness! So awesome.

Such a great day. DH even tried to get video as he said our two oldest were actually not fighting for a change. Of course they had started to fight by the time he got back with the camera. Oh well.
We headed back to the ship in the late afternoon. I got a call from Luciana, our concierge, that a 6:30 Palo ressie was available if I wanted it. Did I want it?? Oh yeah. I also was able to charge our tips through the concierge which was a big time saver. They delivered them at 5pm along with a printout of our bill and a lovely lithograph. How lovely. I filled out all our forms for debarkation and put our tips in the appropriate envelopes. I wrote, "EXCELLENT" on the front of each one. Wanted to be sure they knew we got the message and avoid a final speech. We went with Grandma to dinner and got the kids settled and handed out the tips. Now this was nice, we got a handshake and thank you from each of our servers. They didn't check how much they got ( I always tip more) but gave a sincere thank you. Now that was impressive to me. And excellent. Shawn and I headed to Palos and our wonderful Gemma. We sat at "our" table and milked this meal for all it was worth. We brought our champagne from our REAS basket and exchanged it for Asti Spumante. (hey, I'm Italian, I don't like dry wine) We ate for almost 3 hours!

At the end of the meal we each had a souffle plus a sample of a few others (hey, we aren't cruising again for almost 2 years). We also ordered ice wine, which we had discussed with Sheldon at the Wine Tasting. Well, guess who walks in but,....Sheldon. He poured the wine himself ( a very generous pour) and even gave us his email address to keep in touch. Wow! We saw many of our Dis friends that night, including Patti and Bob. We chatted a bit and said our good-byes. Gonna miss those two.

Back to the cabin, poor Grandma thought we fell overboard. She lit up when she saw the sweet pizza we brought back. She headed back to pack and we finished up ours. I headed up to Shutters to get the last of our pics and took BriarPatch with me, she was wide awake. Ran into the lovely Gemma from Palos, so she got to meet my youngest and look at my pictures. I so hope to see her again next cruise.

We really wanted to go to Pub Night but we were soooooooo tired. This was my last night to be lulled to sleep by the boat. We ordered the concierge continental breakfast and went to sleep.

to be continued......
