3rd week of June

For all you teachers or parents who cannot take kids out of school. Looks like my wife has a new principal so October trip is no good. How hot and crowded is it that very first week of summer vacation(for us up north that is).

We went the end of June two years ago and will be going this June as well.
We had always gone the first week of May, but as the kids got older it was too hard to take them out of school.
We were worried about the weather, and yes it was hot, but we got up early and were at the parks before opening and always left by 1pm to go back to POR. We swam in the afternoon and then headed back to the parks for the evening. This worked great for us, and if there was an afternoon shower, it usually had ended by early evening.
We liked June, as opposed to May, because the parades and fireworks were scheduled for every day of the week. The last time we went in May, there was only one Spectromagic parade scheduled for the entire week! Needless to say it was extremely crowded.

We are going in June from the 23rd until July 1. We usually go in July from about the 3rd to 11th. I hear that June is a little less crowded than July, but I would think the temps would be about the same. Like the above poster said, just take your breaks in the afternoon and you should be fine. We love the summer! Well, we just love anytime at WDW.
