Disney is opening another park in China next year, the third Disney Park in Asia.

California and Florida Disney Parks continue setting yearly attendance records.

Tiered pricing is rumored to be introduced by Summer 2016.

Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar and other Disney proyects (Movies, Merchandise, etc) in the works continue to draw strong demand.

Would another Disney Park in the US be feasible? And where would it make sense to build it?

The most sense would be in Florida. A 5th gate should be build. I think they are going to build something in Disneyland though just upgrades I am sure.

Way too expensive for Disney to build a high quality resort from scratch when one isn't absolutely needed. My understanding is that Disney is getting lots of foreign investment money to build in Asia and would not get that assistance here. So it would be all on their own dime, and you would be looking at $5+ billion easy. And where? The only logical place is Texas. No place where there is a winter of significance would ever be chosen. And you would need a large local population base for employment purposes. So most "flyover" areas are out of contention. And AZ is too close to southern CA. The only place that a year-round resort could be sustained is Texas. And if all this talk of secession proves true, that would be risky! :duck:

Don't you mean 7th? ;)

EDIT.... Now I get what you mean... not just a park but a whole new area, California, vs Florida, versus TBD. It would have to be someplace that is warm all year for revenue purposes, so that rules out about the top 2/3 of the nation. I think expanding where they already are makes the most sense.

Texas aint going nowhere! A few locals that forgot to take their meds :tilt:

Obviously I would love a 3rd park in Texas since I live here. If the rumored 3 billlion just for the Hollywood studios is true imagine how much it would be a for a whole new park in a new location. I'm guesing 10 billion to start. Plus i'm assuming they would have at least 2 gates maybe a theme park plus a water park? Dont know how fesible it would be. I would love it though!

Tier pricing?

Something Disney is looking at based on a survey they sent out, but I had not heard anything definite. Based on the information they presented, it looked like they had some more tweaks that needed to happen. There was something like 3 tiers and certain times of the year would be one price, weekdays and weekends could be different prices.

I'm just excited for tiered pricing ;)

Yup, so now the least expensive days will be the days that will be the most crowded. I cannot wait for a crowd level of 8 on a Wednesday in February that would normally be a 3 or 4. Or, better yet, that weekly long visit where there are 2 or three different prices. :rolleyes1
