3rd Times a Charm! Mar. 8-14..lots of pics

Thanks you. He didn't tell me a whole lot about it, even though I asked several times. He said they offered a picture in a nice frame that was like 30 or 40 bucks and he declined, but htey also offered JUST the picture for $17. He declined that too, but I told him he should've gotten it.

My husband got the frame, the DVD, etc. He LOVED the Rookie experience.

My photobook arrived! Yay! it is so cute. I still think the quality of the pictures in it could be better, but it is a nice keepsake. but expensive!

I did read this morning on the Dis that as of Feb24, things changed and shipping is no longer included in any preorders (book or CD) and that the pages are now limited. Bummer.

After all the fun and pictures and her sash being put on her we proceeded up to pay. Lauren walked up with us and gave Claire her bag of goodies (makeup, nail polish, stickers, extra face jewels and comb). We asked Lauren to sign Claire’s autograph book as well. I paid then. Technically, when you think about it, this was “free” because we used our free gift card we had received with our package. (Same with the castle I bought, for that matter)

Here are some random shots I took while we she was getting done.

Lauren had asked Claire who each of the crowns belonged to. Claire said Belle for almost all of them. LOL She got Jasmines right though.

When she was done, she also kept saying..”wait till Dad sees me”. It was so sweet.

Immediately when we walked out she got compliments on how she looked and how wonderful her dress was. She wasn’t as gracious as she should’ve been and kind of got nasty later in the day. I had to tell her several times to be nice. These people thinks she’s pretty and scowling isn’t the way to thank them.

I think I forgot to mention (or maybe I did LOL) that when we were waiting several people asked about getting the dress Claire had on. One girl even started crying because Claire’s dress wasn’t available at BBB. So I had to remind Claire how lucky she was to have such a pretty dress.

We then headed back up main street towards exposition hall to do the photoshoot.

We stopped and got some photopasses again, but not as many and I wish would’ve done more then.

We then went to Exposition hall and got the photoshoot doen. Now word to the wise. This is supposed to be for BBB guest who paid for the big package. Others can do it too, but the people at the “desk” don’t really like you to do it unless you have bought the package…sooooo…don’t go to the desk. Go straight back to the photographer.

We had a really nice one. I told her (when she asked) that no we didn’t get the photo package, but did pre order the CD. She said “oh good, I can take some special ones then”. Claire made a lot of faces while doing this, but all in all they turned out great. Of course they are on my photopass CD.
She then took a few with me in them, and most turned out like crap. Claire looked so cute in them, but I have this really weird face going on.
The lady also told us that when DH met up with us, to come back and we could get some father/daughter ones. She said do NOT go up to the desk and if she wasn’t there anymore, don’t tell the other person that we had already been there. Just tell them we want father/daughter shots.

This place is suppose to accommodate any guest wanting pictures, with priority to BBB people, but they also want you to buy a package from them. Which is dumb, since you can have them all put on your card/CD and order what you want at home a lot cheaper.

She looks so cute!!! :lovestruc

We had no issues with the photoshoot when we went - but I never stopped at the desk, so that's probably why. I can't wait to see the photoshoot pictures - I'd like to see how you re-did the bubble :rotfl2: I showed Maddie Claire's pictures and she likes that style, so I may need to be re-doing it a bit myself.

Upon exiting Exposition Hall we saw Daisy immediately to our left. Only a few people in line, so we jumped in. Daisy is one of Claire’s most favorite characters. :lovestruc Last year I don’t think we could’ve gone home if we didn’t find her. :confused3 (no photopass photographer here)

After Daisy we headed to the circle there at the entrance where we saw Chip and Dale and Pluto signing. Since we had already seen Pluto, and his line was long, we skipped him and went directly to Chip and Dales line.
It was close to 3 at this point. I was really happy with how fast everything went. I was worried BBB would run really later and actually figured we wouldn’t even get to Exposition Hall till after 3.
I also kept in contact with DH and he said he was done with his ride along and was making his way over to the park.

When we got close to Chip and Dale the “Pre”parade” band was coming through. :rockband: They all started Dancing and Pluto was totally jamming! LOL! That dog can dance! :dance3:
Chip and Dale danced with Claire to the music. :dancer: They twirled her around and all that fun stuff. She was having a good time. :butterfly

I love it when the characters have fun like that! What is up with the super duper long Pluto lines!? I noticed that this time..everytime I'd see him he was packed!

Suoer cute pics of her w/ the characters. :lovestruc

Claire is quite the princess. She looks soooooooooooo beautiful!!! She is a very special girl to get to dance with chip and dale. Those photos of them dancing really capture the moment!:wizard:

I wish I was a kid again, so that I could do all this... and the cute little dresses would fit me.

Then again, I wish I just had longer hair, so I could do this anyway! My hair is too short to put extensions in. :(

While in line for Chip and Dale I noticed that Pinocchio was out across the street in his own little area. I told Claire if DH wasn’t here by the time we were done with Chip and Dale we would go see him too.
So we finished up with Chip and Dale by me jumping in for one final shot with the photopass photographer and ran over to Pinocchio. :yay:
As we got close I noticed only 1 person finishing up with him and the line looked closed. I asked the CM as we were jogging up if the line was closed, and she just hollered back to the other CM, “We’ve got one more, a “princess” is here to see Pinocchio”. SCORE! :thumbsup2 So we went back with no wait and met with him. He was really great with Claire. Claire wasn’t too sure who he was and I was trying to explain it to her while waiting for Chip and Dale, but I’m pretty sure she has never seen the movie, even though we own it on VHS.

She kept touching his nose, and it was so cute. I tried to get a picture of her doing it, but she pulled it back so fast I never could get her touching it. The Photopass person tried to as well, and we both laughed because we just weren’t quick enough. :headache:

Claire was super excited after seeing him. She said that he kept going “AH-Choo” when she would touch his nose. She said she wanted to see the movie when we got home….which I got out, but she has yet to watch it...LOL……:sad2:

Like I sad before, DH and I kept in contact, and he kept saying he was almost there, but we would get done with our meets and he still wasn’t there. I guess the bus had problems and would raise back up after it lowered down to get a wheel chair on.

So Claire and I headed over to the smoking section by Tony’s to kill some time. We walked by the Goofy statue, so I had her stop and took some pictures.

statuegoofyandclaire.jpg

When we started walking away a lady told Claire how beautiful she was (several had) and she was just not grateful and scowled and said NO! So embarrassing, so I had to give her a talk and tell her how impolite she was. :headache: And I threaten no Wonderland Tea Party (something she couldn’t wait to do) if she kept it up. :guilty: Claire told me she was sorry, but she is just so tired. LOL! We walked over to the smoking section and that lady was there. So I apologized again :flower3: and told her about Claire’s tired comment. It’s rare when kid admits they are tired.

We then decided to wait for Skip up front under the train station. As we walked by the Goofy statue a photopass photographer was there now, so I stopped and had Claire take some more shots with the Statue. I think mine were cuter though, because she was looking at the statute when I did them.
FINALLY Skip arrived. We walked over to Exposition hall and there was a different photographer there now. We told her that we wanted Father/Daughter pictures and she seemed confused. She asked if we bought the package, and I told her no, we did buy the CD though, and just wanted some pictures of Claire and her Dad together. She almost acted like she wasn’t going to do it, but she did. She only took a few, in the same pose and then brought me in and we did a few family shots. She said she just wasn’t to creative with poses, and she wasn’t. It made me wonder why she was put there if she couldn’t think up poses to do. Oh well, they came out decent enough, and I was happy. :upsidedow

As we walked out the parade was making its way to the front. I asked Claire if she wanted to watch, and she replied, she’s rather go swimming. I told her not until after we ate, which was in another hour or so. She then said she was tired of parades and didn’t want to watch anymore. :scared1: But then she kept staring at it, so we went up curbside and she watched the whole thing. :rolleyes1 LOL! AND she was excited and happy with it. Belle waved and blew her a kiss, so that made her very happy. :cloud9:

:welcome: and :thanks:
I'm so happy you joined. Feel free to ask any question too!

Great trip report. Claire is a real trooper! One quick question, I remember that you ate at CRT, was the tip included there with the dining plan? I thought I read somewhere that it was but am not sure.

Too cute about Pinocchieo! Ahh-choo! Glad she liked the parade - that was probably some good downtime!

We paid out of pocket for CRT, but with CRT the tip is included in the price. Same with Hoo Dee Doo. The dining plan doesn't include tips for anything anymore, but certain meals/shows have the tip included in the price whether you use the dining plan to pay for it or pay out of pocket. (I hope that made sense) LOL!

So, if you are using the dining plan for CRT you will not be required to leave a tip? Part of our group is going there in June.

:offtopic:

The little party went well yesterday and I did get my house clean. Of course after a party the house needs cleaned again. LOL!

Claires little muicale went god. Each class does a song, so it last about 40 minutes or so. We bought her flowers and she thinks she is a star now. LOL! :dance3:

No, Whether paying out of pocket or using the dining plan, you won't have to tip unless you buy a specialty drink that isn't included in the price. It does use 2 TS credits though when using the plan.

Pfft, I was 32 when I did this! Ok, we didn't have the dress but we did do the hair - I even had that hair (diva). It was fun. They told me they'd had a 92 year old princess the week before! Go do it, have fun, you get to be a princess in Disney no matter what! And I'm certain short hair is ok - I read about someone with short hair having it done.
