We are planning our trip and really liked the AKL as we browsed through the various resorts. We are 2 adults and 3 kids. 15 Boy, Girls 11 and 6. We booked a bunkbed savanah view room with a travel agent. We have not paid yet so changes can be made.

Should we stay that many nights with 3 kids or would we be better of staying 3 or 4 nights at the AKL and then moving to another resort that is cheaper and getting 2 rooms? If so should we choose for the second resort something on the monorail?

We just got back from a spring break trip and booked 2 rooms at a Hampton Inn. It made for a peaceful trip to have 2 rooms. :hippie:

You can all stay in one rm at POR, or a cabin in FW.

To have 5 in an AKL lodge room it has to be a deluxe room. We too are a family of 5 and we have gotten 2 rooms for less money. Sometimes two moderates sometimes two values depending on the season and if any discounts are available.

5 will fit in the Poly as well. Good for younger kids, with easy monorail access to the MK and Epcot.

If you want to save money and still stay somewhere nice I would suggest Port Orlean's Riverside. The have a room for 5 (two beds with a trundle bed that pulls out from under one of the beds) We did this last year and it worked out GREAT!
