I'm pretty chill with the list. Other than which park and what ADR we have we are so not going commando.

So I just found your PTR and read the whole thing... well most of it!

I am also canadian and will be at POR (not a royal room) from Sept 29th till Oct 7th so maybe we will run into eachother

We will also be at the same parks for the 1st few days!!!

I am also a single mom and taking my 2 girls, my son is 18 and won't come anymore

So excited you are going on your first Disney trip!!!!

Wow Heather, I can't believe you are so close! You and your kids must be getting super excited!

We just got back a few weeks ago and the "family if the day" was picked right in front of my eyes. They were just standing around like everyone else taking photos, smiling and having a good time when it happened. If you want to be the family of the day I would say be sure to not just sit around waiting for the show to start and don't stand near the entrance.

The other cool thing I saw that made me think of you was the Winnipeg Jet shirts that they sold at EPCOT. In fact they had more Jets T-shirts then all the other teams combined. When we walked in a guy from Orlando was holding up a Jets T-shirts saying "that's why they called them the Jets they have a Jet in their logo".

Anyway, I'm sure you and your family will have the time of your lives and will enjoy every minute of your trip.

The shirts were sold in Canada (at EPCOT) of course. They also had some Leafs, Canucks and Habs ones but mostly Jets. I don't recall seeing any from Ottawa, Calgary or Edmonton though. I took a picture of the Jets display but did not check out the price. Maybe you could do that and post it here? My guess is $30-$50.

I gave the guy wondering about the logo and the name a whole Winnipeg Jets history. After I was done he asked me how I knew so much about the Jets. I told him I was from Winnipeg and gave him a Canada flag as a souvenir that I had in my back pack.

Aw I'm sorry to hear that!!! But at least it isn't forever so that's still awesome. It will be great to see the new Test Track and to get to be in New Fantasyland!

You did a great job with those shirts!! Saw them on FB and was tempted to take you up on your offer to get those mickey heads for our own shirts...but alas we have sooooo many shirts to wear already, not sure when we would be able to fit them in. Love that kind of problem though, eh?

Yup even though I still couldn't type anything into the special requests box. I will call again and make sure that my requests are on there since I added them over phone one time. I'm also sending a fax to the resort because Andre who runs the POR thread confirms they are read at Port Orleans Riverside.

It was pretty easy. I have my fax all ready to send to Port Orleans on Monday or Tuesday. I'm gonna call Disney tomorrow and make sure the requests are on my reservation since I couldn't add them through online check in.

So I called Disney today and made sure my room requests were added. She was really nice and said I could ask for up to 3 and she'd put them on there. I asked her for a 4th and she laughed and said "what?" and I told her "I'd like for this week to go by faster if you have any pull on that." lol She just laughed and said she'd try!

I have my fav all ready to send to POR on Tuesday!!! I've got all my spending money which is GREAT because the Canadian dollar has been stronger than the US dollar for a little while so I've paid LESS for my money ($900US was only $893 Canadian!) and I LOVE that!

I'm just going to do more laundry now and pack some more! I work at 9am tomorrow (sat) but I have Sunday off!!! So Sunday is the finishing of packing plus I have to clean out my Jeep so the luggage will fit in there! I refuse to put the luggage in the car until Saturday morning. People just suck too much around here to risk putting it in the night before!
