So heres my third and final installment with lots of pics :thumbsup2

So to remind you were I left off....We had come back to our hotel room at 1 o'clock in the morning having celebrated the new year's arrival at the park. We went to bed having drunk quite a bit of champagne and feeling very foolish as we had booked a 7am breakfast!!! Fools!!!!

The alarm rings at 6am, I naturally press the snooze button and let myself have those all important extra minutes. The alarm soon goes off again and I jump into action eager to get back into the park to use the EMH. As I shower I realise that my cold that had been lingering for days was now full blown flu  well at least it felt like flu...I felt dizzy, sick and had a temperature and alls the bones in my body ached. I decided not to tell Simon so as not to spoil our last day.

We both got dressed and headed over to the restuarant for the 7am breakfast slot we booked, thinking at the time that this was a fantastic idea as there would be no crowds and we could head off straight to the park to squeeze loads in :yay: We arrived and the CM took our entry card and wished us happy new year, he was very chirpy and friendly which was nice. The breakfast selection was a bit random but there was lots of it. I had a bowl full of fruit salad (unfortunately it was the canned variety) and two pain au chocolats. Simon opted for cereal and a couple of coisants.

We were the only people there!!!! it was empty!!! I can highly reccommend this time slot if you can't stand crowds :lmao: As we ate the rstuarant began to fill up slowly. I still felt ill so wrapped up my pain au chocolat to eat later. Me and simon walked back to our room to pack up, load the car up and head to the park. This did not happen of course. We both saw the bed and thought........S*D it lets go back to bed we are pooped...even after our breakfast, we discussed briefly if we really wanted to waste the EMH and decided that although we would miss out on some good photo opportunities, none of our fav rides would be open so it would be ok to miss them. As long as we were outside the studios for 10am to get on crushes coaster as this was the one thing we missed the day before.

This extra sleep was bliss! and definately needed I felt much better when I woke up..no flu symptons just a cold and a headache so I took a paracetamol and we packed up, put our stuff in the car, handed the key in and caught the bus back to disney land!!!!

As discussed we went straight to the studios to ride crushes coaster...I had been so excited about this ride so just had to do it.

We were not the only people to think this though, we walked very quickly to the que for crush and already it was taking over the park. The sign said 60 mins but I knew it would be longer. As there was no fast pass and it was really the only ride I just had to ride we planted ourselves in the que. It moved quite quickly and I ate my pain au chocolat to pass the time they were really tasty!!! Once inside there is a lot to look at so the que seems to move a lot quicker at this point. Time check revealed that once we were actually on the ride we had only been queing for 50 mins so I was quite chuffed.

The ride was amazing!!! I was laughing and screaming all the way!! we were in the front so were facing forwards and got to see lots of the animation as we went round. The ride was really smooth and very well themed...just a little too short! I would have love to have riden it again but we couldn't afford another hr queing, so instead we headed back over to disneyland as we felt like we had more to see over there. However as we walked towards the exit I noticed the art gallery shop...I had to look in here, my dream job is being a disney animator so I love all this kinda of stuff. We played for a bit in the back part of the shop on the computers which was great fun. Then headed back out. We passed the que for anamagique and i was curious..the show was about to start so we walked straight in.

Wow!!! what a show!!! not much of a plot and a very annoying song at the end but well worth watching just for the pink elephants!!!! HA HA HA!!! We left the studios and went back to disneyland.

Once through the gates we made the sensible decision to take things slowly and just enjoy the park, to ride rides as then came and generally drink in the atmosphere. We started by taking a trip on the train. Simon loves all things disney railroad so was trying to take lots of pics of the train and the stations for his disney railroad forum as they all live in the states and have never really seen the one in paris. Hence the reason we love riding the train so much

We rode the train once around the park, I took some film as there is lots to see as you go round including the wonderful grand canyon diaramma!!!!! :lmao: We then rode round to frontier land. We took a pic of the station and tried to show how cold it was in the park...now remember it is midday at this point and the pond you can see is in fact frozen :scared1:

We wondered over to thunder mountain, the que time read 90mins. We got a fast pass and then decided to go get some lunch nice and early before everyone else. We had lunch at the bbq place...I can't remember the full name sorry. The food was good I had the ribs and simon had the cheese burger. The big fire was burning in the middle of the restuarant so it was ideal to sit and warm up. After lunch we sat for a while and talked about what we had done and what we should do next. Natuarlly we decided to buy a coffee and a mickey briouche to ponder this some more!!! We sat and drank the coffee and put the mickey briouche in our bag for later. At 3 euro's for a coffee and a briouche we thought this was excellent value :thumbsup2

By this point our fast past time was up so we went and rode big thunder mountain again!!! I loved it and this time I filmed the entire ride :woohoo: watching the video back is very amusing all I do is giggle the whole way round!!!

We then went on to explore a bit and found the woody's round up area were we met stinky pete.

We walked around adventure land, went into skull rock and then took my favourite pic of the whole holiday

We then remebered that there was a pirates of the carribean ride at DLP so headed over to the que.....................................woah!!!! what a que...infact a better description would be crowd...or mob. needless to say we didn't join it. It was a shame not to ride it to compare the rides at DLP and WDW but we both new what the ride would be like so decided to press on.

We wondered round to fantasyland and took in some of the sights that we had missed previously. Including the train station that is really well hidden!!! TIP: catch the train at this station as you will walk straight on!!!
This is what we did. Again we sat on the train...Simon was having back problems so he needed to rest lots. It was a nice break from walking and we went all the way round again. We ate our mickey briouche on the train...yum yum and jumped off when we got back to fantasyland as we decided to ride something with boats as we had not yet done a boat ride.

DSCF0384.jpg

story book ride was the boat ride of choice!!! it was dead quiet and virtually no que!!! we loved it!!! again just proving what huge kids we both are!!!

After this we strolled through belle christmas village, where we couldn't resist the smell of popcorn....mmmmmm....popcorn::

We had become concious of how much money we had left to spend...a nice perdicament to be in, but seriously all our family had given us euro's for christmas so we had loads!!! This makes a change as normally, being very skint we take our own drinks and food to the park and try to save as much money as possible...not today...oh no. I stopped at the christmas decoration stall in belles village and bought loads of disney decorations.....the quality ones of course :thumbsup2 no tat for me :lmao:

We continued our stroll around the park and decided to go and do some shopping with our millions!!!! ha ha ha ha....we got to main street just in time as it began to snow

DSCF0389.jpg

This was so sweet...all the kids thought it was actually snowing and dragged their parents out of the shops to see!!! I started to feel very broody at this point

We bought a couple of items in the kitchen shop...again no tat just pure quality items...a wine stopper and an ice cream scoop to go with my disney ice cream maker  I then had the genius idea of getting a professional photo of the both of us with a character :thumbsup2 as we had not managed to get a character meal as they were all booked up and we had not seen any around the parks plus we could not get one together as one of us has to take the photos!!!

I decided christmas mikey in his top hat would be best. I magine my dissapointment when we went up to the meet and greet area to find he was finished for the day...well that is what the sign lead me to believe. :sad2:
Simon pointed out that there was a horse and carridge going up and down mainstreet so perhaps we could ride that and get a nice romantic photo together. This seemed like a nice idea so we headed down the street to que up for a ride.

When we got to mainstreet station I noticed that goofy had just walked out and the que for pics with him was very short. We jumped into the que and got our photos taken with santa goofy in his sleigh...Goofy gave me a huge hugg and a kiss and then apologised to simon...which was really funny. I am glad we decided to do this as now I have a really nice photo in a really nice frame sat on the mantle piece to remind me of our disney trip at new year plus I can show it to the family and say thanks for the christmas present as they paid!!!!!

As for the horsey ride...we tried to get on but did not push to the front like everyone else so we failed to get a ride which was a shame

DSCF0390.jpg

We walked over to discoveryland having decided that we needed to do one last ride before heading home. We got a fast pass for SM and Then I had an idea. I knew that Simon had no idea about the dragon under the castle..but I had read all about it on this forum so I grabbed his hand and we fought through the crowds that were gathering for the dream parade and I took him undr the castle. He kept asking me were are you going? what are we doing> I said ssssssh be quiet you will wake him. Simon I think thought I had gone loopy at this point but then saw the dragon and laughed out loud :rotfl2:

We watched the dragon for abit...took some pics that didn't come out as it was too dark and then headed back over to SM

We rode space mountain and then left the park...which is a sad moment for anyone I am sure. We said our goodbyes and headed back to the hotel to collect our car and begin our mammoth journey back home...which I maight add was very smooth...the euro tunnel offered us an earlier train again which was great and ment we got home a lotearlier so could tell simon's parents all about our trip before going to bed :)

So 39 hrs in paris 26 spent in the parks :thumbsup2

I may have miscalculated but you get the idea....what a trip!!!!! we both loved it and can't wait to go again :yay:

just one more thing to add that I forgot about...the disney bunnies!!!!!!

around the park and on the service roads late at night lots of bunnies come out to play...there are hundreds of them!!!! I have two pet rabbits so loved looking out for them...here is a pic of one near to the bus depot

DSCF0346.jpg

perhaps we could all start to look out for the disney buns!!!! and post our pics of them.....There are hundreds trust me!!!!

thanks for reading :goodvibes

I look forward to reading other peoples :woohoo:
