I got an email advertising this:
Evolution - Infused with 100 percent tourmaline jewels (the world's most potent ionic mineral), the T3 Evolution delivers maximum negative ions and infrared heat. This means lightning fast drying and healthier, shinier, deeply moisturized hair. An entirely new approach to blow drying, that guarantees frizz-free results every time.

It said it was in the good bag for a "recent music award show."

I can't imagine paying $300 for a hairdrier. Maybe that crazy lady from the Oprah Debt Diet show might buy one.

I love mine, works great! Yes it was a bit of a splurge, but let's face it, I'm worth it! :teeth:

I have 7 one for each day of the week. ;)

My MIL bought me this for my birthday.

When I asked for a new hairdryer I was thinking about 1/2 that! Seriously though, it is so worth it to buy a salon hairdryer. My last one I had for 9 years (it was $150). They are quieter, dry your hair faster and last a long, long time. I figure with a regular hairdryer I was buying 1-2 a year at $25 each, so I spend less in the long run, and don't have to stress about it dying every year on the day I have an important event.

They have to be quiet to be allowed in the salons, and the hairdressers use them all day, every day. They replace their dryers about once a year. (My dad used to date a hairdresser.)

PS - Forgot to add, if you know a hairdresser, or bribe your current hairdresser, you can get it for 1/2 of that at the beauty supply.

I am a hairdresser and always have paid that, I got more of course. % off on a product depends on the company, it is not always half off.

I have the T3 flat iron and absolutely love it! It was pricey but worth every penny. I can only imagine that the T3 dryers must be just as good :) That said... I probably have a while before I can go and drop more money on hair appliances :)

So what does it do differently? just last longer?

I can't stand the puny hairdriers that some hotels use. When my hair was long I used to travel to London a lot on business. The hairdrier in the room had about 500 watts. That was about like me waving a fan around my hair - it took forever to dry.

My hair driers seem to last forever. I usually get a new one because I forgot to take one on a trip. I have one here in my guest room that must be at least 10 years old.

I wash my hair daily but do let my hair air dry a little before I dry it. I can see how a professional who uses a drier many, many times a day would need something really substantial, but my once a day use on thick hair doesn't seem to wear them out. I usually pay about $30-40 for a drier.

even thou the wattage may be the same. They are more of Industrial strength than a regular hairdryer. the cords are heavier and longer, and it seems to take much more abuse, and does not heat up as hot. You can put more hours on it.
