30 Amps at the Fort - a/c + ?

Our class c is 30 amps, if i am running the a/c, will i blow a fuse with a 1600 watt hairdryer? We were plugged in at Cedar Point and i thought the air was on and nothing happened when i ran the hair dryer. I know in july, we will need the A/C at the fort so turning it off might not be a good idea, lol. I am seeing alot of bad hair days in my future, lol.anyone else have 30 amps and run them at the same time?
(the closer we get - one month from today - the more things i'm thinking to ask, lol)

I second that you should be just fine...of course my hair looked like crap the whole time I was at the Ft the last time but hey, that vacation for us.. Have a great time. Donna what kind of doggie is that in your signature and are you taking him/her with you ?

That is my little Ashlea, my cocker spaniel. Oh how i wish we could take her with us, but we had to put her down in november. she was one of the reasons we bought the RV in the first place cause i wouldn't leave her alone anymore, she was 14. She became paralyzed in her back legs and was dragging herself around and also had cushings disease. I miss her terribly.
We will, however, be taking our Golden Retriever, Molly. With the exception of a sea gull divebombing her at Cedar Point, she had a good time! If i even mention the word RV, she runs to the door, lol. We can't wait to get there!

I agree, you can run your a/c, microwave, hair dryer, curling iron, tv, and lights all without your fuse blowing

i know, i don't even know why i bother to try to keep it laying down, it just curls right up anyways. i will use my mickey clippie and mickey scrunchie ALOT!

My gradual hair loss has made hair dryers a thing of the past for me, although DW and DD do seem to enjoy using theirs. I have discovered the joys of baldness, however - significant savings in shampoo and no time wasted combing.

Your A/C draws around 15 Amps. Your hair dryer (1600Watts) draws 13.3 Amps. Add 1 TV and PoP! goes the circuit breaker. In real life, we pop our breaker with the A/C, 2 TV's, handful of lights, then kick on the microwave. So we turn off our A/C while our food cooks.

With Florida's humidity, it helps to cycle your A/C once in awhile anyway, to clear off any ice from the condenser.

We had the same problem in our TT. No AC while microwaving or blow drying. I'm sayin' cute, low profile MM baseball cap !

If you do have a problem you could run an extension cord right from the 20 amp beaker at the service post.

Yep, we just flip off the AC before we flip on the microwave. After the food cooks we can stop cooking
