3 yr. old on Soarin' ?????

My son was 2 years and 10 months when we were in Disney in January and he was just 40 inches. He liked Soarin', it was cute watching him pull his feet up when we flew over the river! He was OK with Test Track and Dinosaur, although I don't think he could really see anything on TT. He DID NOT like TOT, which my DH took him on against my better judgment. After TOT and a bout with a stomach bug, he had no interest in the Barnstormer or BTMR. Splash was closed while we were there. Yes, we do grow them tall. My middle child was 5 on the trip and easily cleared the 44" rides, she's also fearless and absolutely loved ToT, Everest, and Space Mountain. She thought BTMR was boring! I think your son will be good to go on anything you feel comfortable letting him go on.

My ds loved all the 40" limit rides w/the exception of ToT which dh wanted to take him on and I had reservations about. He was shaking like a leaf after that ride but now every time he sees a Hollywood video store he says "Look! Elevator Ride! Elevator Ride!" like he's all excited about it, LOL I think the thing that freaked him out on that ride was the other riders screaming bloody murder. The ride itself really isn't all that scary IMO (I hate big drops and I like ToT). Every other ride he loved, including Stitch (to the pp - yes there are some kids who do like it) DS laughs his way through that show. Stitch is one of his favorite characters. (I'm not saying I like it though :rotfl: ) OTOH we were at Knotts Berry Farm in CA and ds freaked out on a little kiddy ride - why? Because he was on it alone. He would have been fine if dh and I had been on it with him (but of course it wasn't that kind of ride).

Anyway, Soarin' is a really smooth simulator ride. Like a pp said the third row is the lowest so if you're afraid of heights pick that one. I personally love the 1st row in the middle section. That way you don't notice the edges of the screen nearly as much and it's really immersive. :goodvibes

have fun!
