Right??? Since that was October and My peas were December maybe, they added the peas for Christmas ? :rotfl2:
I did look carefully to make sure they were not hiding in Dawn's meal.

Hi Dawn,
Really enjoyed your pictures and videos from MNSSHP. Looks like you all had fun. How nice to just take the boat back to WL after the party. Love the water parade too, perfect timing for you.
Seth has really grown up over the past 8 months. I love his little boy haircut too. He is just so adorable.
Your new trip sounds like it will be fun, and it is always nice to have a trip to WDW to look forward to. It was nice to meet you back in October. Enjoy your summer.

Awesome hitch-hiking Ghost pictures, I think they may be my favorite Photopass pictures of all time! :cool1:

I'm sad your trip has come to an end. Now we won't get updated pictures of Seth growing up. Love the ones you posted of him recently. He is getting so big. Seems like just the other day you were announcing your pregnancy... after the quarter got thrown in by Memom!

I enjoyed your report and watching Seth grow. He is precious! Has he made you change your mind about having more?

I will do individual responses later, but I wanted to let those of you who may have followed my reports for awhile now know that we lost our Sherman today. Sherman was our 14-and-a-half-year-old beagle. He was our first baby and my first pet as an adult and, even though we've known for awhile now that he was going to go any day, it's still very, very hard.

He was outside doing his business yesterday and when we realized he was still outside (we think he'd only been out there for about 5 minutes, but that was enough with the temps here being around 103) we rushed out there and found him collapsed on the back porch. Long story short, we got him to the vet within max 20 minutes and she was so great with him, was able to bring his temp down immediately and get him comfortable. He was in and out of consciousness at that point. She did an X-ray and one of his lungs was pretty much collapsed with cancer spots on it. So she thinks this would have happened, hot weather or not, and that the hot weather was just a coincidence. He spent the night at the vet's office (she's awesome - she lives on the land her practice is on and checks on patients such as Sherman multiple times at night) and she said he went peacefully in his sleep while laying on his own pillow with his daddy's t-shirt covering him sometime between 3:00-6:00 this morning. When she checked on him at 3:00, his temp had dropped a little bit but nothing that she was alarmed about. And when she checked on him again just before 6:00 he was gone.

We went up there around 10:00 this morning to say goodbye to him (even though we kind of did that last night, not knowing what the night would bring). Anna came to stay here with Seth while we went up there b/c we knew we'd be emotional and I didn't want him there for that. I think he's noticed Sherman's not around but he doesn't "get" it. We took Eli, our other beagle, with us. It was not fun but necessary and I'm glad we did it. We are having him cremated and we chose an urn that's more like a box made out of cherry wood and it has a picture frame on the front - we're hoping it will look good on the mantle.

I know these things get easier with time but I just feel like this huge hole is now in my life. He was such a big part of it for such a long time and he brought us so much joy, laughter and unconditional love. He was a good dog and I just hope he knows how much he was loved. We miss him so much already.

Here's a more recent picture I have of him. This was taken about 3 weeks ago.

R.I.P. Sherman - December 17, 1997-July 1, 2012

I am so sorry for your loss. Beagles are the best dogs there are--and more like children than dogs. :sad1:

I pray for your peace during this difficult time.

:sad1: I just logged in and saw your post, I'm soo sorry about your dog. I can understand what you are going through, We lost My brother's 14 year old Lab in May 2010 and I still miss him, I felt like he was mine as much as his. (I even tried to take him with me when I moved away ;) ) Dogs come to be such a part of the family, especially when you have them as long as you had your little guy. You guys are in my prayers

I always loved this Poem:

Aw I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to loose a beloved pet. :(

Oh Dawn, so sorry for your loss. Just recently lost my cat. He incubated my last child with me. slept on my belly for almost 8 months straight. And when we finally moved our daughter into her own room, he put her to bed and woke her every single morning. Pets hold special places in our hearts. Fill that hole with the laughter of your child.......

R.I.P. Sherman.....

Dawn and Ray, I just saw your post. I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is to lose those fur babies. They are such an important member of the family, and we don't get to have them long enough.

Dawn

I am so sorry about your beautiful doggie Sherman. It is one of the hardest things to lose a pet as they are definitely part of the family.

I have been thru it a couple of times and it never gets any easier - just take the time you need to grieve.

Take care and thinking of you both at this time.:hug::hug:

Dawn, I'm so sorry about Sherman.

He was a lucky guy to have so much love from you and Ray and Seth.

Dawn, I am so sorry about your sherman sending hugs and support your way

These pets of ours have such a way of becoming our best friends, our loyal companions, a big part of our family. This is so tough. Rest in peace sweet Sherman. :(

:grouphug:So very sorry to hear of your family's loss. From all you have shared over the years it is obvious Sherman was deeply loved. The idea of having his ashes displayed sounds like a lovely way to honor him.
