3 Years in the Making: Our return to WDW...with diapers! SAD NEWS 7/1 page 41

I am pretty sure we are going in Dec of 2014 too..the first week when DVC points are the lowest...I hope we can meet up!

THe pictures the CM took for you as a family at the Poly are so cute! Ray looks like he's super happy and you look like your laughing at something hilarious! They really captured a perfect family moment. I've got to get over to Kona for dinner and try one of those famous Lapu Lapus. AH.... maybe that's why you're so smiley! :rotfl:

Hi Dawn! You got some really cute family pics! I love the ones at the Poly! Love the resort pics, too!:goodvibes

Looks like a great dinner - I think I would vote for Ray's entree!:thumbsup2

How wonderful of MeMom to make wishes for you. What a wonderful blessing you have! Does she do anything besides baby wishes? ;)

He looks like he is ready to fall asleep right there on the spot. All the character pictures are cute. If he grows up to be a dentist, he'll have to put the Goofy picture up in his office!

Oh, Poly, how I love thee....

DSC00109.jpg

Beautiful, for sure, and a nice place to spend an evening.

The bread and macadamia nut butter that I always forget is so good until I put it in my mouth.....delicious!

IMG_2567.jpg

Bread as big as your head - and so good!

Ray got the Teriyaki-style New York Strip with grilled with pineapple teriyaki glaze served with mashed Yukon gold potatoes and stir-fried broccolini....

IMG_2570.jpg

His was good, too, as usual!

My choice, too, and it is melt-in-your-mouth delicious!
Your picture makes me want to have this for dinner tonight. :)

Now most of you know the story of this fountain. If you don't, listen up. This fountain is MAGICAL. :wizard: But I don't know that the magic works for everyone. I know that it does work for one special Disser, Memom. You see, Memom can make a wish, throw a quarter in this fountain and that wish will come true. Specifically a wish for a new baby...yes, that's right. In summer 2008 Memom wished for another grandbaby and she got her wish 9 months later when Bella was born. Then a year later she wished for our good friend Erica (VandyFan10) to have a little one and 9 months later we got to meet Will. And then, luckily for me, in December of 2009 she wished that Ray and I would be blessed and that wish came true in September 2010. I'm sure more wishes have been made and granted. And I know that Ray and I are elated that she wished for our little guy and that her wish came true. Thank you, again, Memom!!!!

Checking out the magical fountain....

That fountain does awesome work! Seth is a keeper, for sure!!! :thumbsup2

How wonderful of MeMom to make wishes for you. What a wonderful blessing you have! Does she do anything besides baby wishes? ;)

Well, I took my oldest granddaughter to wish for a 3rd grandbaby when I took her for a big girl trip in October. That 3rd granddaughter, Sophie Kate, will be able to visit the fountain herself this coming October. :rolleyes1 The magic does not waste time when it comes to those baby wishes!

On the other hand, the wish to be a happy, healthy, billionaire, as I figure that is pretty much all-inclusive for anything I could ever want ;), is taking a little more time. :upsidedow

Love all the character pics-Seth did so good with them!
I've only been to Kona for breakfast but it looks like I need to go for dinner! I tried a Lapu Lapu because I heard so much about it-WAY to strong for me! My mother-in-law ended up with it. After 2 of those I could get her to do anything! She had a spoon digging out pineapple!

Oh the Poly, so lovely! Just looking at those photos makes me relaxed, wish I was there right now! :beach:

I love Kona cafe too, and even though my favorite meal is breakfast, I do enjoy dinner too! I wanted to try the tuna on our last trip, but I ended up deciding on something else. Your photos are making me regret that decision! And oh the Lapu Lapu! I could write an ode to its greatness!

The family photos you guys took are very cute, and I like the idea of tracking Seth's growth next to humphrey.

Love all the Character pics! I love Pluto's whiskers too :) I remember seeing a trip report video posted on here a while back and they had pics of their kid with Pluto and I was so surprised to see that his whiskers wiggled! I thought that was so cute! I don't know why I never knew that (or noticed it)

That's such a cool story about that fountain at the WL!

I love the family picture with Mickey! It's so great that Seth loves the characters. You see so many pictures of kids freaking out, and he looks like he was having so much fun! So cute!

It is precious how much Seth adores those characters. What a doll.

The Poly is gorgeous! Just breathtaking beautiful! :goodvibes

Very pleased to find your TR! I've had a lovely long read catching up!!!
Oh and MeMom also made a wish for me during their Summer 2008 trip and the following May, Toby arrived!!!!!
Looking forward to more! Julie xxx

All caught up and Kona is AMAZNG. Love walking around the Poly

i remember those steaks there they were really good.

nice relaxing eveing and good pictures.
:thumbsup2

Love the food there! Thanks. :)

I am pretty sure we are going in Dec of 2014 too..the first week when DVC points are the lowest...I hope we can meet up!

Well, I'm hoping for 2014 but it could also be 2015. I do think our next family trip will be in early December though. After Seth starts school they'll have to be during fall break (mid October) and we for sure want to go for the holidays before that time. He will start kindergarten in 2016 b/c his birthday is just after the cut-off (his bday is 9/4 and the cut-off is 9/1 here) so he'll turn 6 right after he starts. So I'm guessing either 2014 or 2015 for the December trip. If our trips overlap we for sure have to meet up for a meal or something!

THe pictures the CM took for you as a family at the Poly are so cute! Ray looks like he's super happy and you look like your laughing at something hilarious! I think Seth was trying to get down off the wall and we were laughing at him and the situation. Constant chaos with a baby! I loooove the Lapu Lapu. It's so so good!

Does she do anything besides baby wishes? ;)

Thanks! The Poly is so pretty and peaceful. :cloud9: I think Memom answered your question above but I'll take any of her wishes since they seem to work well!

He looks like he is ready to fall asleep right there on the spot. All the character pictures are cute. If he grows up to be a dentist, he'll have to put the Goofy picture up in his office!

So funny about the dentist....and so true! I'd be happy with that career choice. ;)

Bread as big as your head - and so good!

And specifically Bella's head...but I believe when you guys took the picture of Bella with the bread at Kona, lots of things would have been as big as her head since she was so tiny then!

My choice, too, and it is melt-in-your-mouth delicious!
Your picture makes me want to have this for dinner tonight. :)

I concur. Let's get in the car right now and drive south!!!

That fountain does awesome work! Seth is a keeper, for sure!!! :thumbsup2

You better be careful - Jill is going to search your pockets and bags before you head to WL from now on to make sure you don't have any loose change!!! :rotfl2:

Love all the character pics-Seth did so good with them!

I've been to breakfast and dinner and both are two of my favorite meals at Disney! Oh, I ALWAYS dig out the pineapple after I drink a Lapu Lapu. Alcohol-infused fruit is the best! :lmao:

I hear ya! Me too. I've gotten the Tuna Oscar 3 times and I've never been disappointed. The first time we ate there I got the filet and it was good too, but I can get a filet anywhere. And yes, I worship the Lapu Lapu, as well. So yummy!

Love all the Character pics! I love Pluto's whiskers too :) I remember seeing a trip report video posted on here a while back and they had pics of their kid with Pluto and I was so surprised to see that his whiskers wiggled! Disney is full of surprises! I honestly learn something new (usually multiple things) every time I go.

I love the family picture with Mickey! It's so great that Seth loves the characters. You see so many pictures of kids freaking out, and he looks like he was having so much fun! So cute!

I hope that sticks with him. When we go again he will be 2.5, so that may have changed by then. I hope not!

 Love it!!!

Your meal at Kona had my mouth watering! We loved our dinner here too. I had the same steak as Ray due to MeMom's rave reviews and it did not disappoint!

Beautiful shots of the lodge.

I love that shot too. I guess Goofy's teeth do kinda stick out there, huh? :rotfl: We always eat dinner at Kona - it's one of our few must-dos. Love it!

It is precious how much Seth adores those characters. What a doll.

The Poly is gorgeous! Just breathtaking beautiful! :goodvibes

Like I said above, I hope he loves them as much when we go back and he's 2.5. Things change so quickly with little ones!

Very pleased to find your TR! I've had a lovely long read catching up!!!
Oh and MeMom also made a wish for me during their Summer 2008 trip and the following May, Toby arrived!!!!!

Hey, Julie! Glad to "see" you here! :goodvibes So Toby is a fountain baby, too? So awesome! :thumbsup2

All caught up and Kona is AMAZNG. Love walking around the Poly

Me too! I could just hang out there for an entire evening. I always tell people if they can't make the fireworks at MK but they're at the Poly at night to take a trip to the beach to enjoy them from there. So pretty!

So we've reached our last full day of our Disney vacation. :( Yes, it comes for every one of us. And I always try to be positive about it. One of my favorite quotes is from Dr. Suess: Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. So that's what I try to do when it's time to leave Disney World! ;)

Today was Thursday, October 6th. We had a Halloween Party tonight to end our vacation with a bang, but we decided to head over to DHS that morning to do a coupe of things we didn't get a chance to do when we were there earlier that week.

We woke up that morning to the news that Steve Jobs had passed away. Ray is a huge Apple/Mac proponent so he felt he had to pay his respects that day. He actually had an Apple sticker in his computer case! Here he is waiting to get into DHS....

IMG_2576.jpg

We got to the park around 10:00. You'll be thrilled to know that I had Ariel's long, lost sister singing in my ear as we were waiting in the queue to get into the gates. Only she couldn't sing like Ariel. And she didn't look like Ariel. But she continued to sing "Part of Your World" LOUDLY in my ear (she was behind us in line) and it was SO ANNOYING. :headache:

Hi, Tower of Terror....I love you and will miss you!

DSC00251.jpg

We headed straight for the Disney Junior Live on Stage show. I definitely wanted Seth to see this since he loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. We had never seen it so this was a first for us too!

The wait to get in was maybe 15 minutes or so, then we were let into the theater and found a seat to the left of the stage.

Waiting for the show to start....

He LOVED the show - specifically the music! He was clapping and bouncing every time the music played. :goodvibes

On our way out we saw some Little Einsteins....

DSC00204.jpg

We walked around a bit, got fastpasses for Star Tours and then decided to grab some lunch at Backlot Express and catch the next Jedi Academy show. Ray is SUCH a huge Star Wars fan and we'd never actually seen an entire show - usually we'd just be walking by when one was going on and it was too crowded to see anything.

We split a turkey sandwich with fries and it was huge - great item to split!

IMG_2579.jpg

My view as we sat and ate lunch. The stage was right across the walking path from us.

IMG_2578.jpg

DSC00207.jpg

Just as we were finishing up lunch the show started. It was super cute! I highly advise anyone who has a little Jedi fan to sign them up for this show! I don't think it's hard to get them signed up. I saw the area for sign-ups across from the Indiana Jones show.

The Jedi master who is going to be teaching the "younglings"....

Darth Vader arrives.....

DSC00216.jpg

DSC00221.jpg

Ray is so low-key but I could tell he was totally excited. Ray WORSHIPS Darth Vader. And I'm not exaggerating at all. He cries whenever he watches, "Revenge of the Sith" and Anakin becomes Darth Vader. (Don't tell him I told you that! :lmao: )

Next Vader fights the younglings....it was super cute to watch the kids take on the Dark Side! The Jedi master would tell them which way to strike Vader and sometimes it would take 2 or 3 (or 9) times for them to get it right. So funny!

DSC00238.jpg

DSC00245.jpg

Darth's outta here!

DSC00247.jpg

I got some video with my phone. Watch when Darth Vader comes out, Ray starts fist pumping.....:rotfl2:

What's up, AT-AT?

DSC00248.jpg

After the show was over, Ray and I took turns using our Star Tours fastpasses. I walked around with Seth in the stroller and just enjoyed the atmosphere around Streets of America, the Star Tours area, near Sci-Fi and loved the little coffee shop I found near there - lots of cute things in there and it's quiet!

Then it was my turn to ride Star Tours!

IMG_2585.jpg

IMG_2586.jpg

When they put me in line to get into a "vehicle," we stood there waiting for what seemed like ages. Then the guy comes and says that we're all going to have to go to another vehicle. Okay.....so he tells us where to go. Then we wait....and wait....and wait! Finally, he says this vehicle isn't working either, that he will get us in another vehicle momentarily. While we were being shuffled around I started a conversation with a mother and daughter behind me. This was their first time at DHS and they were telling me all about it. Well, another CM comes by and asks if there's a party of 3 waiting in our group. I stuck my hand up and said, "Yep, right here!" and grabbed my new friends. And we were off on a space adventure! I really liked the changes they made - the ride that we got was really fun!

After I found Ray and Seth, we decided to head out and enjoy a nice, long break since we knew we'd be up WAY past Seth's bedtime for the Halloween party. The plan was to get Seth to take a good nap back at the hotel and then head over to MK around 4:30 or so.

On the way out, I grabbed one of these from Starring Rolls....a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing....:cloud9:

IMG_2588.jpg

Bye DHS....until next time!

IMG_2589.jpg

When we got back to the resort, it was bath time for Seth (he always sleeps better after a bath).....

IMG_2591.jpg

You know how I mentioned that plan? Yeah, well don't plan with a toddler. It doesn't work! Seth would NOT sleep that afternoon! I don't know what it was, but he was just up and at 'em. FINALLY around 4:00 he passed out. Well, so much for making it to MK by 4:30!!!

IMG_2592.jpg

But I didn't care - I just wanted him to sleep so he'd have a good night.

Up next.....MICKEY'S NOT-SO-SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY! :hmghost:

That sandwich does look rather large. I will have to keep that one in mind for sharing.

Seth is so cute smiling in the tub.

Glad he got a nap, even if it was a little late. Totally know what you mean, though - let all plans go when they are getting much needed sleep. ::yes::

Did you see the picture that was taken for him on our report?

Love the Star Wars pics..when the Jedi Master has his hood on it looks like Woody Harrelson! :rotfl:
You're lucky your schools have off-breaks. Up here the kids only get Xmas week, a week in Feb and Easter week. If we went those times it would be a zoo!! Plus the kids don't get out until the last week of June. So we plan to pull the kids out of school one week per school year.

Aw, we loved Steve Jobs too.

Ray fist pumping for Darth Vadar is hilarious!! :lmao:

Your cupcake looks HUGE and YUMMY!
