I'm looking for some advice after perusing the internet. I am kicking myself for not booking the 3 star hotel priceline had for $69/night in DTD area. The next day the price nearly doubled. Just to give you some background, we almost always stay on disney property. Boardwalk is our fave resort followed closely by WL. We enjoy nice accomadations but realize the time we are going 3/15 - 3/22 will be easter break for most schools. We booked our airfare and are looking for a nice, clean, and QUIET hotel or condo close to disney world. We have stayed offsite at some villas off 192 and the traffic in the morning is pretty bad. I would like to avoid that if possible and maybe be closer to WDW. We will have a rental car and plan on traveling to USO a couple times for dinner and a hop in the parks. We are seasoned WDW travelers w/aps that go about 3-4 times a year. Is there anything you can recomened? We wanted to keep the total to under $100/night with all taxes and fees. I can't see spending over that if we're not on disney property. It will only be the two of us (late 20's) who enjoy some of the nicer things in life. We don't plan on spending a lot of time at the resort, but it would be nice to come back to a clean and quiet room a couple times a day. Any recs? Thanks

Fairfield Inn usually has rates for under $100 at the Marriott Village in Lake Buena Vista, sometimes the Courtyard will as well. It is a nice, clean hotel with a Courtyard by Marriott and Spring Hill Suites by Marriott on the same property. You are no more than 5 minutes from Disney (maybe less depending on how you catch the lights). They also have goverenment and AAA rates if any of those apply.

It may be more for those places because of the time you are there, but the quality is always worth a little more to me.

Feel free to ask for any more information and I will do my best to help!

Did you try naming your own price on priceline? Ive always gotten much better rates bidding than what is listed on the site.

Yeah. To no avail. It's really weird how the price jumped like that. I've been looking into this Cypress Pointe Place. We can get a studio for under $90 a night w/taxes. I know they have room service for a price and a lot of folks seem to think it's a pretty nice place. I will check out the other places Matt. Unfortunately, that time of year I think they will be well over $100. If anyone else has any other ideas, please keep them coming. Thanks

How about hotwire or priceline with a split stay? Maybe bid 1st 4 nights and see if it accepts, most times it will let you add nights. if not maybe you could pick up another nice place.

If your not familar with hotwire, check out betterbidding.com and many times you can figure out which hotel you are choosing.

Best of luck
Wanda

I was going to suggest Cypress Pointe, we are staying there over your dates, booked through hotelopia. We have a 3 bed unit for around $100 per night, so a studio should be well within your budget and it's a great location.

Due to all of the great recommendations on the boards I booked a 3 bedroom condo at Windsor Hills the week after Easter for $79/night. It looks like a great resort and you can avoid the traffic on 192 by using the Sherberth Rd "back way" onto Disney property. I rented directly through the owner and found the listing on the vrbo website.
