Just a thought:
If they could modify a few of the :wizard: " magical benches" :wizard: with seating for 3 people (more spacious seats) rather than the 4 seats per bench now, would that enable more guests to participate in the whole experience, and therefore not as much complaining about not fitting into the ride vehicles.

Also a pp mentioned a safety belt in between the riders legs would help for the taller guests. sounds like another good suggestion too:thumbsup2

It still won't make everyone happy.

When we were there last week riding Men in Black, a family of four was very upset that the ride ops put us single riders in with them. They wanted to ride alone for their picture.

You can't please everyone.

I imagine that the ride engineers know more than we do here on the internet boards and they will have considered the options.

I like it.

It would help some but probably not most that can't ride. The harness is more of the problem than anything else. A shorter harness with buckle like Dueling Dragons would be the best solution for right now. Although it is a narrow seat, most I've seen that can't ride is because of how that harness fits against you. Besides it fits close to your shoulders, chest, stomach and thighs. It's basically just a real crappy design.

But if you didn't have to scrunch shoulders together to fit back into the seat, then you'd be further back against the back, and then harness might come down more.

Not sure about the strap idea...it's the strap that keeps DH from riding Maliboomer at DLR, even though the harness comes down just fine on it and CA Screamin' (which he CAN ride).

I like the 3-across idea, especially b/c we're a family of 3. :)

The wider seats won't add depth to the coffin, I mean seat. It also wouldn't prevent the harness from smashing your shoulders if they are big. I welcome the idea of wider seats but I just don't see it affecting the largest majority that can't ride. The harness would still press against the same parts of the body which would mean most of the same people couldn't ride.

.

well too bad someone didn't tell them, that with the picture, they will put aliens OVER the people in the picture , who you don't want in there!!
(really cool)

If there were bigger seats such as these would larger guests be willing to wait for one of the seats and ride with strangers?
