3 Princesses Hit the Parks!-A 2/13 Girls Trip TR!*Update 6/19, pg 23-The End!*

We didn't do any of the Agent P missions but I do agree it is a bummer when there's people ahead of you doing the same one and you see what's going on. Oh well.

I loved being on the monorail loop too! SOOO nice!

I miss Disney too. I wish I was going with my parents on Saturday but no, I still have one week left of school. Boo!

Yeah it's annoying, but I guess there's nothing you can do! :confused3

I doubt I'll be staying at a monorail resort anytime soon (hopefully 2015 for my 5 year wedding anniversary!) so it was really nice to just hop on the monorail and be at Epcot! Or MK! Or any of the monorail resorts! :thumbsup2

I was supposed to be going on a secret solo trip this month, and I was supposed to leave TOMORROW but I had to cancel it. So I'm super bummed right now. I feel like I'm never going to be back in Disney! :sad1:

MMMM Via Napoli. I haven't been there in like three years and it's time to make a return trip!

France really is a beautiful pavilion!

Not in love with Bay Lake Tower... a sentence I cannot comprehend. ;)

I love Via Napoli, it's always so good!

It is, I love France! It's one of those places where you can just sit there for hours and not do anything and be totally content!

Haha, I'm sorry! I know you love it, I just, I don't know! I think maybe I'd like it more with an MK view or something? It just didn't feel like a Disney resort to me, but I did like it! I would stay there again, it's just not my first choice, that's all!

I LOVE pistachios and pistachio flavored things!!!! That gelato looks yummy!! :)

I love the France pavilion! My dream is to go to France one day!!!!

Too bad TT was a long wait :(

So sad when it's the last time in a beloved park!!

Haha, I love pistachio! I wouldn't mind some pistachio ice cream right now!

I want to go to France someday too! There's even a Disneyland in France haha!

I'm glad we got to go on at least once, Caitlin loved Test Track!

I always have a mini breakdown when I have to leave Epcot, it's just too sad!

Via Napoli is amazing. I never have room for dessert, but I really want to try some of those zeppoles one of these visits!!

Love your pictures of the France pavilion. I want to try to do one of these missions just to explore more of the pavilions, because I find we really don't do much of that when we are in WS. Hopefully by the time our trip comes around in October, DS will actually be able to understand and appreciate the missions to keep him entertained.

I can only imagine how easy & convenient it would be to stay on the monorail loop, especially with Paxton in his stroller! Too bad the Poly is so darn expensive!! :rotfl:

I never get dessert there either, so I'm glad I finally had the chance to, it's so good! Oh wait, I think I had the tiramisu there once...I can't remember!

Thanks! The missions are so much fun, I like that you notice little things in the WS that you wouldn't normally see! :thumbsup2

Haha, I know right? If I could, I'd stay on the monorail loop on every trip! I wish the monorail went to the Wilderness Lodge!

I'm still here!!! It's just kind of hard to read/post when we don't have a trip booked :-( But fortunately, now we do!! I started a PTR if you want to follow along!! I hope you're well :-)

Yummm, when I was in college, I worked at an Indian restaurant that has the most AMAZING pistachio ice cream! We used to sneak little cups from the freezer and eat them in secret behind the bar. :rotfl:
Awww, I hate leaving any park "for the last time," but especially Epcot or MK!!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm kind of stuck in a Disney depression right now, so I don't come on here as much as I used to. Maybe once every couple of days, when I used to be on every time I had a spare second to myself! It's just hard reading about everyone's trips when you don't know when you're going back. I mean, I have a trip booked for December, but who knows if that trip will even happen. And even still, December is just SOOOO far away!

I saw your PTR, I don't remember if I subbed or not, but I definitely will! :cool1:

Pistachio ice cream or gelato is so good! I kind of want some right now! :rotfl2:

Leaving any park for the last time is hard, but Epcot for me is the worst!!!

That gelato looks relish!

Lotso is really cute for having such an evil streak. :rotfl:

Beautiful pictures from Epcot and so sad that it was your last visit.

Very nice of that stranger to give up her seat for you! :goodvibes

It is, I love gelato!

I know, I hate Lotso but he's so freakin cute!

Thanks! I love my Epcot, it was so sad leaving!! :sad

I love the Agent P mission! I love seeing all the showcases in a different perspective

After reading your trip report, I am collecting the Vinylmations!:cool1:

The Agent P mission is so much fun!

OMG you are going to get addicted to Vinylmations!! Be careful, it can get expensive! :rotfl2: Do you like Beauty and the Beast? There is a Beauty and the Beast Vinylmation series coming out later this month, I can't wait!!!

Ha! At least Lotso looks like such a nice lovable character! Too bad he's got that sinister streak! I don't recall but did they have that berry scent wafting through the bushes at his topiary? I may be making that up or just old and forgetful. :confused3

We love Via Napoli - especially the pizza. Considering I've only eaten pizza and zeppoles I suppose I'm not able to offer an expert opinion!

Insert sad face for having to say farewell to Epcot.

I know, he does look so cute and lovable! I'm pretty sure his topiary smelled like strawberries, I know it did last year, but I can't remember if it did this year!

Lol, I've had other things at Via Napoli and they are just as good as the pizza! :thumbsup2 Everything is so good there, I love that place! :yay:

Wahhh I hate leaving Epcot, it's so sad!! Leaving any park is sad, but Epcot really gets to me, because it's my favorite!

That gelato looks amazing... I could go for some right now (at 7am!!) haha

I've always wanted to try one of those missions, just for something new. France is such a beautiful pavilion! Love all the pictures!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Haha, me too! I'd love some gelato right now!

They are really fun, you should try one! They are time consuming though, they take about 30 minutes! :yay:

Mmmmm, I love the pizza from Via Napoli.

That gelato looks really good. One of the things in Italy that was crazy was the insane amount of gelato flavors. I've never seen so many flavors before! Pistachio is one of the really common ones, they have it everywhere.

I love the France area of WS too. So pretty and relaxing. We're going to take the boys on the Agent P mission this year, and I've never done it so I'm super excited!

Me too!

It was, I love gelato! I'd love to go to Italy and have real gelato! I've seen gelato places in Italy on the Food Network and I can't believe the amount of flavors they have! And they like to combine them too, right? Yum!!

France is really pretty, I love it there, but I feel like I never spend any time there! The Agent P mission is a lot of fun, I really like the Germany one, so you should give that one a try! :thumbsup2 That's probably my favorite one of the 4 I've done so far...although, the Norway one is pretty good too!

Just popping my head in to say hi. I normally follow your TR and give a response here and there. When are you guys planning to go in December? I received a pin a few weeks ago for free dining for some dates in December so we booked at POP!

2/24 Part 3

Hi everyone! Well, sadly the time has come...this will be my last update of the trip portion of this trip! I'll still have maybe one or two updates after this, a trip wrap up and favorites and all of that, so stay tuned for that!

Also, I took horrible notes for this night, and not many pictures, so some things might be a little out of order!

We packed as much as we could at Bay Lake Tower, since we were leaving early the next morning, we had to be ready to be out the door to catch the Magical Express! It was sad packing, but we still had one more night at the parks, so we got ready and walked over to the monorail.

The view from the bridge to the Contemporary from Bay Lake Tower is amazing Diane and I had to stop one last time to take a few pictures because it was just so pretty!

I know Bay Lake Tower isn't my favorite, but you cannot beat having the Magic Kingdom RIGHT THERE! I mean, it's like you're staying in the park!

We got on the monorail and ended up at the Magic Kingdom, our last park of the trip! It was weird for me to be ending my trip at MK, but I know that's what 90% of people that go to Disney do, so I'm glad I got to do it once!

(I think this was also the Dapper Day at Disney? Where everyone dresses up? That would be fun to do if I knew about it, but I don't think I even realized it until right before our trip, and anyway, I'm not a big fan of dressing up right now, since I can't fit into nice clothes! :rotfl2:)

Main Street, USA!

The sky looked a little crazy at some times, but I don't think it rained, and if it did, it wasn't for very long.

Do you know that's the first time I've ever seen Walt's window? I've known about it forever, I knew it was at the end of Main Street, facing the Castle, but I never knew where it was until this trip! :rotfl2:

The first thing we had to do was get some dinner, and we just wanted to go somewhere that would have a variety and nothing weird, so we went to Cosmic Ray's. I got the half rotisserie chicken

and I actually can't remember what Diane and Caitlin had, although if I had to guess with Caitin, it was probably chicken nuggets!

Diane really wanted to meet Gaston on this trip, and we were talking about that at Cosmic Ray's, and I said I wanted to meet him too, and we thought he stopped meeting at 6 (or 6:30, can't remember!) Caitlin did NOT want to meet any villains on this trip, so she got pretty upset that we wanted to meet Gaston. We assured her that she didn't have to meet him, that Diane and I would do it and she could stand off to the side, but she was convinced the CM's would make her meet him!

When we finished, they wanted to do the Speedway, so I went on the Peoplemover alone again. I love the Peoplemover, I'm sure I've mentioned I could stay on there for hours right?

I'm pretty sure when they finished, we grabbed some Space Mountain FP's for later and then we tried to figure out what to do. Diane still wanted to try to meet Gaston, so there was that, even though Caitlin didn't want to. Caitlin all the sudden decided she wanted to meet Rapunzel, who was all the way in the front of the park! So we tried to explain to her that we couldn't possibly meet her AND get back to Space Mountain in time for our FP's. Meanwhile, we walked over to Fantasyland to get in line for Gaston, who was just meeting his last visitors, so we thought we missed him, but he was coming back out one last time! So we waited, and we were first in line!

While we were in line, Caitlin got over not wanting to meet him, so when he came out, they met him and I took the picture. I don't remember what he was saying to them, but Diane had her Princess Half medal on, so he was talking to her about the race. I kind of wish I met him too, but I guess I'll do that on my next trip!

I think finally Caitlin decided she wanted to do Space Mountain one last time instead of meeting Rapunzel, so we went on the Carousel again to kill some time before our FP's. I didn't take any pictures of the carousel, but I do remember liking the view of the back of the Castle from where we were standing!

This is where my notes end guys, so the rest of the night is kind of a blur! If I'm going by my pictures, we went back to New Fantasyland? Maybe we went on the Little Mermaid ride again?

I think at this time, we went over to Space Mountain and went on that with our FP's, and then Caitlin wanted to go on Big Thunder Mountain, while I wanted to go on Winnie the Pooh again, since there was only a 5 minute wait. So they went to Fronteirland and i got in the Pooh line, thinking I would only be about 10 minutes, then I'd walk over and meet them in Fronteirland.

So I'm in line, I'm waiting for my hunny pot, and what happens right when I'm about to get on? The ride stops. They try to fix it, they have to call some important person over, and he tells us all that it's going to take about 20 minutes to fix. Ughhh. So I got out of line and I was about to go over to Frontieirland, but Wishes just started, so I stood right near New Fantasyland to watch for a little while!

It's definitely an interesting place to see the fireworks! I saw a lot of freaked out kids from the noise, haha! It's REALLY loud back there!

I kept walking and noticed Peter Pan had almost NO LINE! So I texted Diane and told her I was going to wait for Peter Pan and I'd be in Fronteirland soon. Peter Pan is one of my favorite MK ride, and it always has a HUGE line, so I thought I was outsmarting the whole park by going on when Wishes was happening!

Unfortunately...Wishes had JUST ended. And what do you think happened when it ended? Every single person with a Peter Pan Fast Pass got in the Fast Pass line. And even though there were about, oh, 15 people ahead of me in the standby line, they let every. Single. Person. With a Fast Pass on ahead of us. I swear, it seemed like every person in MK had a FP for Peter Pan after Wishes. It was like they would let on 100 FP-er's, and then one person from standby. Then another 100, then another party from standby. It took FOREVER!! I mean, I get that they have FP's and they're the priority, but I mean, it was a little crazy, they could have just let the 15 people in the standby line on and been finished with us!

Finally I got to go on, and it was fantastic as always, and when I got off, Diane told me they were waiting for me in Liberty Square. So I walked over there and I realized how exhausted I was. I was SO tired. They told me about riding BTMRR while Wishes was happening, and I of course regret not going, since I've always wanted to do that! Then I think Caitlin went on the Magic Carpets, and I said how I've never been on them, so she wanted to go on with me! I think Diane was about ready to leave, but she agreed to go back to Adventureland so we could ride the carpets!

Here's my awful Adventureland picture :rotfl2::

Caitlin and I went on the Magic Carpets while Diane waited for us, I don't think she wanted to go on a second time! It was fun, but I just don't really like spinning rides like that! So when we were finished, Diane really wanted to go, I think it was after 10 and it was time for magic hours, but we were all so exhausted. Caitlin and I were going to go up the Swiss Family Treehouse, but I didn't think my feet would make it up there, they hurt SO bad that night!

So Diane and Caitlin decided to go back to Bay Lake Tower and I decided to stick around MK for a while. I was tired and my feet hurt but I wasn't ready to leave yet. I was just going to look around the shops and then find a spot to sit on Main Street for a while.

I went in the jewelry store, and then the Confectionery

and then I crossed the street to go to the Emporium. I don't remember if I bought anything, I thought there was something I wanted, I just can't remember now!

When I was finished looking in the shops, I found a bench in Town Square and I sat there for a really long time, just watching people coming and going, listening to the sounds of the Magic Kingdom. I called Brandon and talked to him for a while, and then I finally decided I should leave. I was really tired and we had to be on the ME really early the next morning, and I wasn't even completely finished packing yet.

I took one last look at Main Street and walked out of the Magic Kingdom.

I was still on the phone with Brandon as I walked over to the monorail, and then I remembered, the monorails don't run during magic hours anymore!!! So I was stuck walking back to Bay Lake Tower! I didn't think I'd make it, my feet hurt SO bad from walking all week, every step I took felt like my bones were going to shatter. I walked so slowly back to Bay Lake Tower. I was kind of nervous too, because even though the walkway is lit pretty well, it's right next to bushes and it's a little creepy alone at night. It's not a bad walk though, it's pretty nice being able to walk from the Contemporary to the Magic Kingdom! I would just like to do it during the day, or with another person next time!

When I got back to Bay Lake Tower, I tried to get all of my stuff together for the next morning, and then I went to bed. I don't remember how I slept that night, I'm sure not very well since I didn't sleep well the entire trip, and I was also dreading flying the next day.

2/25 Departure Day

We woke up really early the next morning, packed all of our stuff, and went downstairs to the Contemporary to the Magical Express stop. There was a bus there, so we asked if we could go on that one, even though our official time was 20 minutes later or something, and the guy said no, we had to wait for the next bus. We didn't know how the ME worked, so we just assumed if there was a bus there, maybe we could take it, but it wasn't a big deal. So we sat and waited for the ME and it finally came. We loaded our luggage on and got on the bus and just sat there, letting the post Disney depression fully sink in.

We had to go to a few more stops before we were on the way to the airport, which seemed like it took forever, but it was nice that we were the first ones on the bus. They were playing Disney music, and that was the last thing I wanted to hear at that moment. I was excited to go home, because I wanted to see Brandon and my cats, but I had no idea when I'd be back to Disney, so I was severely depressed. I remember them playing "Listen to the Land" and I was in tears, I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to that song again, it's so upsetting!

We got to the airport and got in line at Southwest, where there was a huge line, and then we went over to security, where there was an even longer line. It's a good thing ME picks you up so early because the lines at MCO are getting ridiculous.

When we finally got to the table where you get a bin and put all of your stuff in it, a weird thing happened. We were at the end of the table, waiting for there to be room so we could get a bin to put our shoes and purses and things in. I was first, Caitlin was next to me, and Diane was last. There was this older lady next to me, just looking miserable. So she took 2 bins and put them on the table. One of them was empty so Caitlin went to take it to give me, and the lady grabbed it from Caitlin, yanked it out of her hand SO hard, and gave Caitlin this DEATH glare.

OMG. I don't know how I kept my mouth shut and didn't flip out!! She wasn't trying to steal her bin, she just thought it was an empty one. So since she was taking her sweet time, I grabbed a bin and put it on the end of the table, and shoved her stuff down as hard as I could so we could have room. I was SO mad. I didn't want to do anything crazy like yell at someone in an airport security line, but come on, she's a kid, and she didn't do anything wrong, don't yank something out of her hand all hard and then glare at her like she was some monster. I'm not even sure she noticed me shove her stuff out of my way, if she did, she certainly didn't say anything to me, but I don't know how she could have missed it, I mean, I took my bin and shoved her 2 precious bins out of my way pretty hard. Oh well. Somehow Diane was oblivious to all of this and missed the whole interaction! :rotfl:

Once we got through security, we went on the fake monorail and went to Southwest. Our flight was overbooked and they were looking for volunteers to go home on the next flight and no one wanted to. Finally I think they found 2 people, but it took forever for them to let us on the plane.

It was a nice flight home, it seemed like it was really fast, and before I knew it we were back in miserable old Connecticut. Diane's DH drove us home from the airport since Brandon drove us there, and in about an hour, I was home. It was nice seeing Brandon and my cats, but I was so sad. Post Disney Depression, always nice to bring home with you!

So that's our trip! I hope you will stay tuned, because in a few days, I'm going to do a little trip wrap up and do a list of firsts and favorites, those kinds of fun things, so it's not the end yet! :thumbsup2

Up next...Trip Wrap Up!

What a nice last evening in MK! That's how I always like to end my trips, and I'm a little sad that on our next trip, the last night is a MNSSHP night, so I know it will be weird and depressing to end the trip in a different park. :sad1: I'm sure that's how you felt though on this trip ending in MK and not Epcot! :goodvibes

Wow, that lady at the airport! :scared1: There were so many other ways she could have reacted to Caitlin grabbing "her" bin.

I'm looking forward to your wrap up posts, but I'm sad your TR is over! I know you have another one going, but I really enjoyed reading about your girls only trip!

Oh man, I'm getting so bad at leaving good comments lately! There was so much to say during this update but I can't think of anything! All I know is, leaving Disney is just the worst and it sucks and BOO.

I can't believe that lady. You don't do that to kids. Ridiculous.

Sounds like you had an awesome night at MK! :)

:( it's so hard to leave the last park of the trip!!!!!! It always makes me sad and I try to make excuses to stay!!!! LoL

Oh how rude of that lady!!!!! Was she in front of you all, and that's why she was ride about the bins? If not, why get on the middle of a group traveling together?!?! Ugh!!! I can't stand ride people, especially on trips/vacations!!!! Really boils my buttons!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you had a great last night at mk! I can't believe it's over, great report!

How rude of that lady at the airport! She's just a kid, but even besides that, use your words lady! No ripping things out of people's hands! Yeesh!

I'm still in triple digits in the countdown to our trip and you already have me sad about coming back home! :(

And ummmm thanks for sharing that tidbit about the monorails and EMH because I definitely didn't know that!

OK that lady in the airport.... I would have definitely said something. It's one thing if you want to act like a jerk towards another adult...but a kid? Seriously? Who's the one that needs to be told to "grow up" in this situation?! Like, no one wants to be leaving Disney but stop it already!

Aww, I HATE the ME back to the airport! That video is the worst!

What a weird airport interaction! What was that woman's problem?? Those bins are all the same! Just grab a new one, lady! I flew home from MCO yesterday and it took SO long to get through security. I don't know why those lines are insane!

I love Beauty and the Beast! I will look out for them!

On to the report:

I need to look for that window on out trip in July. I wan to take some pictures!

The peoplemover is pretty awesome. Its very relaxing .

My Dad loves Peter Pan. It’s a must for every trip.

Im sad that your trip report has come to a close.:sad1: I made a new friend. I will do a trip report with my Mom in July so I will message you then.
Let me know if you do a trip report for you Christmas trip.

They do allow you to take different Me buses. We have don it before too. But it also depends on how many people they have on their list. sometimes the bus is already going to be pretty full once they stop at all the resorts.

It was a great last night! It was strange ending a trip in a different park, but I can understand now why people like to end with MK! Epcot is my MK though, it's my home! :goodvibes

Yeah that lady was insane I think! :rotfl2: I mean, really, even if she just opened her mouth and said "I'm using that" that would have been more acceptable. You don't rip something out of someone's hand, that's just not cool. She's lucky I didn't make a big deal out of it, because I could have easily told one of the security guys, and I doubt they would have been happy! :rotfl:

Thanks! I'm going to try to do the wrap up today, but I might wait til tomorrow, just to drag this out a little longer!

Oh man, I'm getting so bad at leaving good comments lately! There was so much to say during this update but I can't think of anything! All I know is, leaving Disney is just the worst and it sucks and BOO.

I can't believe that lady. You don't do that to kids. Ridiculous.

Haha, I feel the same way! I get so behind on everyone's TR's, then I get caught up and forget what I even read so I'm like "uh, great update!" I promise, I am reading though, I just do a lot of DIS'ing on my phone lately, and I hate leaving comments from there!

Leaving Disney is the worst and it sucks and BOO and I hope there comes a time where I go there and don't have to leave! :thumbsup2

Yeah I know, she was a psycho. Calm yourself, lady, there are like 8 billion more of them bins for everyone to enjoy. :rolleyes2

Sounds like you had an awesome night at MK! :)

:( it's so hard to leave the last park of the trip!!!!!! It always makes me sad and I try to make excuses to stay!!!! LoL

I did! It was a great night!

Haha I do the same thing, I'm surprised I left before it was closed, but I was so tired and I was kind of getting depressed just sitting there...I wanted to go do more things, but my feet hurt, so I figured I should just get out of there! :rotfl2:

Yeah she was in front of us, it was her, Caitlin, me, then Diane, and Caitlin was just trying to help me by grabbing the stupid bin, she didn't realize this dumb lady needed like 12 of them. Whatever. Have fun with your bins and your misery, lady. Because clearly you're an unhappy person to glare at a child like that. :cutie:

Sounds like you had a great last night at mk! I can't believe it's over, great report!

It was a great last night! I just wish I could have stayed until MK closed! I love closing the parks! :rotfl2:

Yeah that's what was the worst part, speak up, don't just rip it out of her hands. Ugh. I can't believe people are just so freakin mean. I also can't believe that people would do something like that in an airport security line! I try to be on my best behavior in those lines! :rotfl:

Haha, I'm already depressed about going in December, because who knows when I will go after that? Hopefully the next time I go down there, it will be permanent! :thumbsup2

I knew they made that stupid rule a while ago, but I forgot about it, I thought they stopped it for some reason. :confused3 But at least I got to see how long the walk was back to BLT, it wasn't bad, it just seemed long because my feet were killing me!

Haha, I wanted to say something, trust me, but I was afraid of doing anyting in front security. What if she just started screaming and flipping out on me? Ughhh. Better to just keep quiet...and shove her stuff out of my way! :wave2:

Aww, I HATE the ME back to the airport! That video is the worst!

What a weird airport interaction! What was that woman's problem?? Those bins are all the same! Just grab a new one, lady! I flew home from MCO yesterday and it took SO long to get through security. I don't know why those lines are insane!

This was my first experience with the ME and it was awesome going to Disney that way, not so awesome coming back! :rotfl2: So depressing!

I don't know what her problem is, I actually forgot all about her until I did this update! She's just a miserable person, I guess! With no common courtesy. MCO is getting crazy with the security lines, didn't they cut a lot of TSA funding so now the lines at the huge airports are just insane? :confused3

I love Beauty and the Beast! I will look out for them!

I'm so glad I found that window finally! It's right about the Plaza, but it's actually facing the Castle...when I looked for it, for some reason, I always looked on Main Street, I didn't think to look on the other side!

I love the Peoplemover, my favorite ride in MK! :thumbsup2 And Peter Pan is always fun!

Aww, thank you! :thumbsup2 I will look for your TR for your July trip, I hope you have a great time! It's going to be HOT! :faint: I will definitely be doing a TR for my December trip, and probably a PTR too, but not for a few months, I can't stretch a PTR for 6 months anymore! I have a TR still going for my trip last November, if you want to read that, the link is in my signature, "No One's Gloomy or Complaining" and I still have 3 more days to write about in that trip...and at the rate I update, it will take me all summer to finish it! :rotfl2:

They do allow you to take different Me buses. We have don it before too. But it also depends on how many people they have on their list. sometimes the bus is already going to be pretty full once they stop at all the resorts.

Really? Huh I didn't know that! I don't know how many people were on the first bus, but it didn't matter, it was only like 20 more minutes until our bus got there! I'm glad I know how ME works now, for future trips! :cool1:

The End!

Hi guys! Well, it's that time again...time to do the very last update of the TR! I always hate the very last update, because it's like your trip is really over, you know? :rotfl:

I always end my TR's with some kind of wrap up, and this time I'm just going to list my favorite parts of the trip, and highlight some of the brand new things I experienced on this trip! Firsts and Favorites! I'm pretty sure I saw someone else do this on a TR recently, MEK maybe? So if I'm stealing your idea, I apologize! :rotfl2: It's just a good way to end a TR!

*Well, obviously, a HUGE first (and a favorite!) of this trip for me, was traveling with Caitlin and my sister!

I've been to Disney World with my sister many times before, but not since we were kids, and this was my first time with Caitlin! It was definitely different being in Disney with a child, not in a bad way of course, just different than what I'm used to! It's funny, Diane always tells me that Caitlin doesn't like Disney World, but whenever she was alone with me, she would tell me she didn't want to leave, that she wished our vacation could last another week, things like that. It was fun watching her get so excited about the rides she liked, and making her go on the "Yeti ride" as she calls it, which she was terrified of at first, and now loves and is her favorite!

*My next "first" of the trip...going on the Magical Express!

Can you believe I've been to Disney World 13 times and this was my first time on the ME?? Crazy! Brandon and I always rent a car though, we always thought we'd never be able to do a whole trip with buses, which is why I've never had the need to take the ME! But now that I have, I'd definitely like to do it again! I'm just not sure I can convince Brandon!

*2 firsts that go together...First time staying at Bay Lake Tower

(OMG THAT VIEW!!!!)

*AND first time staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge!!!

I liked Bay Lake Tower, I really did. I just didn't love it. I expected to love it, I looked at all the pictures and thought between how cute the rooms are and the location, how could I not love it? I just didn't. I LOVED the views, and I LOVED the location, I mean, you're practically in the Magic Kingdom...and being right on the monorail loop is amazing! (First time at a monorail resort too!) But I don't know, something about it just felt off to me. Would I stay there again? Sure, it's just not my first choice, that's all! Still, I'd stay there again just for that location alone! And those sunrises over Bay Lake!

Animal Kingdom Lodge however, I LOVED! I loved it as much as the Wilderness Lodge and the Beach Club, and those are 2 places I walked into and immediately felt at home in. I felt the same way with AKL. I have always wanted to stay there, I've even booked trips there, but I always ended up changing my resort choice because I thought AKL was too far away. Well I'm glad to report that it's not! I mean, yeah, it takes a little longer to get to MK, but the other parks are fine! I would love to stay in AKL in December with Brandon, because I know he would love it, I'm just not sure it's possible yet, but I'm keeping my options open! Everything about it is perfect, the rooms, the lobby, the pool, the restaurants!! I mean, I had access to zebra domes whenever I wanted them! (I only got them once and didn't even eat them all, but still, it was nice knowing I could have them!) I don't know. I've always said that the Wilderness Lodge and the Beach Club are my favorite Disney resorts, but AKL might be up there too. :lovestruc

*My next 2 are firsts AND favorites...eating at Jiko

*and breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe!

2 places I've wanted to try forever and could never fit them into my itinerary, so I'm SO happy I finally got to go to both on this trip! Jiko was amazing, the steak there was even better than any steak I've ever had at Le Cellier (which is saying a LOT, since I'm obsessed with Le Cellier) and the mac and cheese was perfect. It's just too bad that Caitlin didn't like it, although, I can see why she wouldn't, it's kind of sophisticated for a kid that only likes pizza and chicken nuggets!

And GFC was awesome for breakfast, I've heard that it's slow, but I didn't find it to be slow at all, and the food (and drinks!) were really good! I will definitely be going back!

*Another first that has to do with food...the tea at the Grand Floridian!

It was really fun to get to do this, because there's no way I'll ever get Brandon to go to this! It's definitely a girl's trip kind of thing, so I'm glad I had the chance to experience it! I just wish I wasn't so afraid to ask for milk with my tea! :rotfl: I'd love to do it again if I ever go to Disney with Caitlin and Diane again!

*First time on the new Test Track!

I was so excited to ride this, it seemed like I hadn't been on Test Track forever and it was...ok. I miss the old Test Track lol! It's fun, of course, the actual ride is still the same, but I just miss the old theme, as cheezy as it was!

*First trip using ONLY Disney transportation!

Like I mentioned before, Brandon and I always rent a car on our trips, so I've only been on the Disney buses a handful of times. I never got to fully appreciate how wonderful it is to take a bus from a park to a resort and hear resort specific music...or get SO excited to enter the Magic Kingdom when you hear the Mickey Mouse march playing! We had pretty good luck with the buses, we only had a few long waits, nothing too bad, I expected it to be much worse, considering we were there for President's Day, and the Princess Half and everything.

*Which brings me to...another first and favorite, being there for the Princess Half Marathon!

Yeah, it was kind of annoying waiting in that monorail line, but once we got on the monorail and saw the runners, and then got to Epcot and actually saw people running through the parks, it was so cool! And then going to MK that night, and hearing everyone congratulate my sister REALLY made me want to do the Princess Half someday! (Although, I've been going walking for the past few days...WALKING, not even running, and it's already too hot out for me, so I don't know how I'll ever train for one, unless I join a gym!)

*First time EVER going to Animal Kingdom at night!!

This was SO much fun, it's such a different park at night, I loved it! I have to make sure Brandon and I go at night and ride EE 500 times, because it is just the best! I'm so sad I had a migraine that night, because I only got to ride EE once, and now I regret not going on a few more times!

*Last but not least for the brand new things I did on this trip for the first time...going to the parks alone!

At first, when I went on an attraction alone, I felt stupid, like everyone was staring at me, wondering why I was alone, but then I got over it. No one cares. No one is paying attention to you, and even if they are, that's their problem, not mine! There were times when Diane and Caitlin just couldn't be with me in the parks, or rides they didn't want to go on, so going alone was my only option. And you know what? It was fine. It was actually so ok that I WANT to take a solo trip. I'm hoping I can make that happen this year, but if not, I am definitely going to next year. I'm sure it will be lonely, but I just want the freedom to do whatever I want. And I'd start with a short trip, 3 nights, so it wouldn't be too much to handle. I'm just so glad I had the chance to go to a few parks alone on this trip to see if I really liked being alone, and I did!

And now, just the favorite things about this trip! (I'll try to keep this short, it will just be things I've already done, but that really stood out on this trip that were really fun!)

*Seeing New Fantasyland again!

I don't think that needs an explanation! :rotfl: I saw it in November, and it was awesome, and getting to see it again a few months later was great! I love that whole area, I could spend a whole day there!

*Visiting my "home", Wilderness Lodge!

I love this resort, so I'm happy we had some free time to hang out there for a while!

*Eating dinner at Be Our Guest

Brandon and I were fortunate enough to get in there for lunch in November, so I already knew how amazing it looked in there, but I was happy to get the chance to eat there again! And while I like the food better for lunch, dinner is kind of more fun because the Beast is there!

*EPCOT!

At first I was going to say, the World Showcase, then I remembered we saw some of the Flower and Garden Festival, so I didn't want to leave that out, then I remembered going on Soarin' a few times, and then watching Illuminations...there's just too much I love about Epcot, so just being in that park is a favorite thing to do, on every Disney trip!

*'Ohana!

What can I say, I'm obsessed with 'Ohana! YUM!!

*Taking the boat from the Poly to MK, and seeing that amazing sunset!

*And then having a fun night in the Magic Kingdom!

We went to the Magic Kingdom a few times on this trip, but this particular time was my favorite, probably because I didn't have a migraine and everyone was in a good mood and the crowds weren't bad and we just had fun!

And that does it for my list of first's and favorites for this trip! I had to leave some out, because this update would have been obnoxiously long, and I didn't even ask Diane and Caitlin what their favorite things were, which would have made it even longer (although, if I had to guess, I'd say for Diane, her favorite things were staying in AKL and running the Princess Half, and for Caitlin, it would be going on the Yeti ride!)

It was a great trip! I was sad some of the time being there without Brandon, there were a few low points, like 2 days of me having a horrible migraine, and then Caitlin's freak out in DHS...and then me going to Epcot without her. Other than that, I'd say it was a really fun trip! I would definitely do it again, although I think in the future, we'd probably have to rent one bedroom villa, or get adjoining rooms at Pop or AoA, so I don't get things thrown at me in the middle of the night for snoring, haha!

I hope we have the chance to go to Disney together again someday! I don't know if it will be anytime soon, because Diane and her family are going to Florida in October to go to Universal, and I'm going in December for Christmas at Disney, so who knows what will happen after that! But I'm sure there will be a time when my sister and I want to go and our DH's don't! So we'll see! Maybe next year, or the year after there will be a time when the 3 of us can go together again, but if we don't, at least we had this one trip!

Thank you to everyone for reading, so glad to have so many old and new DIS friends read along and share the trip with us! I didn't think I'd have the time to do 2 TR's at once, and this took longer than I thought, but I'm glad I did it, because I was thinking there wouldn't be a TR for this trip at all! It was fun reliving it for a few months, and I'm sad it's over! I hope you will all keep reading my November TR, because I still have a few days left to write about in that one, and if you're not, come on over, there's a link at the bottom of my signature!

*Thanks again for reading!!!*
(Sorry about the lack of smileys in this update, I hit my image limit, so I had to take most of them out!)

Jen, I'm SO glad you decided to do a TR for this trip!! It was really fun to see a different trip experience through your eyes. :goodvibes I'm glad that despite the bumps in the road along the way, you had a great time overall and were able to see and do so many new things. :thumbsup2 Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

Great wrap up!
I'm glad to hear you would use the buses again! I use the Disney transportation every time, never had a serious problem yet. :thumbsup2
I loved your opinions on BLT and AKL! I hear so many raving over the moon BLT reviews, it's kind of nice to hear something different. I'm SO happy to hear you loved AKL! Makes me even more excited for November!
New Test Track, BOG, The Princess Half, seriously awesome trip.
Thanks again for sharing it with us :goodvibes

Great ending wrap up to an awesome trip!!!!

Almost all of your favorites are mine to!!!! :)

Disney just brings out the happy, doesn't it? :)

Nice wrapup! I am glad you finally got to stay at AKL after all those times you changed your resort plans. :rotfl: It really is an awesome resort. Sorry you didn't love BLT as much as AKL. Oh yeah, and another yay for finally riding the Magical Express! If you really like having a rental car that much you could always do the ME and then get one from the Dolphin. ;)

I am with you, I miss the old Test Track!

AK at night is AMAZING and I was sooo sad when they took away evening EMH! When we go in October, it's still daylight out at 5pm so we don't get to be there at night anymore! I keep hoping they bring back EMH!

Great wrap-up! I love reading about the things that people liked the most, and all of the new things they tried! It's funny how you can go to Disney 100 times and still never do everything! There's always a new place to eat, a new store to visit, a new ride to try, or a new resort to stay at!

I'm so glad you decided to write this TR! You did a great job! :thumbsup2
