2/24 Part 3
Hi everyone! Well, sadly the time has come...this will be my last update of the trip portion of this trip! I'll still have maybe one or two updates after this, a trip wrap up and favorites and all of that, so stay tuned for that!
Also, I took horrible notes for this night, and not many pictures, so some things might be a little out of order!
We packed as much as we could at Bay Lake Tower, since we were leaving early the next morning, we had to be ready to be out the door to catch the Magical Express! It was sad packing, but we still had one more night at the parks, so we got ready and walked over to the monorail.
The view from the bridge to the Contemporary from Bay Lake Tower is amazing Diane and I had to stop one last time to take a few pictures because it was just so pretty!
I know Bay Lake Tower isn't my favorite, but you cannot beat having the Magic Kingdom RIGHT THERE! I mean, it's like you're staying in the park!
We got on the monorail and ended up at the Magic Kingdom, our last park of the trip! It was weird for me to be ending my trip at MK, but I know that's what 90% of people that go to Disney do, so I'm glad I got to do it once!
(I think this was also the Dapper Day at Disney? Where everyone dresses up? That would be fun to do if I knew about it, but I don't think I even realized it until right before our trip, and anyway, I'm not a big fan of dressing up right now, since I can't fit into nice clothes!

)
Main Street, USA!
The sky looked a little crazy at some times, but I don't think it rained, and if it did, it wasn't for very long.
Do you know that's the first time I've ever seen Walt's window? I've known about it forever, I knew it was at the end of Main Street, facing the Castle, but I never knew where it was until this trip!
The first thing we had to do was get some dinner, and we just wanted to go somewhere that would have a variety and nothing weird, so we went to Cosmic Ray's. I got the half rotisserie chicken
and I actually can't remember what Diane and Caitlin had, although if I had to guess with Caitin, it was probably chicken nuggets!
Diane really wanted to meet Gaston on this trip, and we were talking about that at Cosmic Ray's, and I said I wanted to meet him too, and we thought he stopped meeting at 6 (or 6:30, can't remember!) Caitlin did NOT want to meet any villains on this trip, so she got pretty upset that we wanted to meet Gaston. We assured her that she didn't have to meet him, that Diane and I would do it and she could stand off to the side, but she was convinced the CM's would make her meet him!
When we finished, they wanted to do the Speedway, so I went on the Peoplemover alone again. I love the Peoplemover, I'm sure I've mentioned I could stay on there for hours right?
I'm pretty sure when they finished, we grabbed some Space Mountain FP's for later and then we tried to figure out what to do. Diane still wanted to try to meet Gaston, so there was that, even though Caitlin didn't want to. Caitlin all the sudden decided she wanted to meet Rapunzel, who was all the way in the front of the park! So we tried to explain to her that we couldn't possibly meet her AND get back to Space Mountain in time for our FP's. Meanwhile, we walked over to Fantasyland to get in line for Gaston, who was just meeting his last visitors, so we thought we missed him, but he was coming back out one last time! So we waited, and we were first in line!
While we were in line, Caitlin got over not wanting to meet him, so when he came out, they met him and I took the picture. I don't remember what he was saying to them, but Diane had her Princess Half medal on, so he was talking to her about the race. I kind of wish I met him too, but I guess I'll do that on my next trip!
I think finally Caitlin decided she wanted to do Space Mountain one last time instead of meeting Rapunzel, so we went on the Carousel again to kill some time before our FP's. I didn't take any pictures of the carousel, but I do remember liking the view of the back of the Castle from where we were standing!
This is where my notes end guys, so the rest of the night is kind of a blur! If I'm going by my pictures, we went back to New Fantasyland? Maybe we went on the Little Mermaid ride again?
I think at this time, we went over to Space Mountain and went on that with our FP's, and then Caitlin wanted to go on Big Thunder Mountain, while I wanted to go on Winnie the Pooh again, since there was only a 5 minute wait. So they went to Fronteirland and i got in the Pooh line, thinking I would only be about 10 minutes, then I'd walk over and meet them in Fronteirland.
So I'm in line, I'm waiting for my hunny pot, and what happens right when I'm about to get on? The ride stops. They try to fix it, they have to call some important person over, and he tells us all that it's going to take about 20 minutes to fix. Ughhh. So I got out of line and I was about to go over to Frontieirland, but Wishes just started, so I stood right near New Fantasyland to watch for a little while!
It's definitely an interesting place to see the fireworks! I saw a lot of freaked out kids from the noise, haha! It's REALLY loud back there!
I kept walking and noticed Peter Pan had almost NO LINE! So I texted Diane and told her I was going to wait for Peter Pan and I'd be in Fronteirland soon. Peter Pan is one of my favorite MK ride, and it always has a HUGE line, so I thought I was outsmarting the whole park by going on when Wishes was happening!
Unfortunately...Wishes had JUST ended. And what do you think happened when it ended? Every single person with a Peter Pan Fast Pass got in the Fast Pass line. And even though there were about, oh, 15 people ahead of me in the standby line, they let every. Single. Person. With a Fast Pass on ahead of us. I swear, it seemed like every person in MK had a FP for Peter Pan after Wishes. It was like they would let on 100 FP-er's, and then one person from standby. Then another 100, then another party from standby. It took FOREVER!! I mean, I get that they have FP's and they're the priority, but I mean, it was a little crazy, they could have just let the 15 people in the standby line on and been finished with us!
Finally I got to go on, and it was fantastic as always, and when I got off, Diane told me they were waiting for me in Liberty Square. So I walked over there and I realized how exhausted I was. I was SO tired. They told me about riding BTMRR while Wishes was happening, and I of course regret not going, since I've always wanted to do that! Then I think Caitlin went on the Magic Carpets, and I said how I've never been on them, so she wanted to go on with me! I think Diane was about ready to leave, but she agreed to go back to Adventureland so we could ride the carpets!
Here's my awful Adventureland picture

:
Caitlin and I went on the Magic Carpets while Diane waited for us, I don't think she wanted to go on a second time! It was fun, but I just don't really like spinning rides like that! So when we were finished, Diane really wanted to go, I think it was after 10 and it was time for magic hours, but we were all so exhausted. Caitlin and I were going to go up the Swiss Family Treehouse, but I didn't think my feet would make it up there, they hurt SO bad that night!
So Diane and Caitlin decided to go back to Bay Lake Tower and I decided to stick around MK for a while. I was tired and my feet hurt but I wasn't ready to leave yet. I was just going to look around the shops and then find a spot to sit on Main Street for a while.
I went in the jewelry store, and then the Confectionery
and then I crossed the street to go to the Emporium. I don't remember if I bought anything, I thought there was something I wanted, I just can't remember now!
When I was finished looking in the shops, I found a bench in Town Square and I sat there for a really long time, just watching people coming and going, listening to the sounds of the Magic Kingdom. I called Brandon and talked to him for a while, and then I finally decided I should leave. I was really tired and we had to be on the ME really early the next morning, and I wasn't even completely finished packing yet.
I took one last look at Main Street and walked out of the Magic Kingdom.
I was still on the phone with Brandon as I walked over to the monorail, and then I remembered, the monorails don't run during magic hours anymore!!!

So I was stuck walking back to Bay Lake Tower! I didn't think I'd make it, my feet hurt SO bad from walking all week, every step I took felt like my bones were going to shatter. I walked so slowly back to Bay Lake Tower. I was kind of nervous too, because even though the walkway is lit pretty well, it's right next to bushes and it's a little creepy alone at night. It's not a bad walk though, it's pretty nice being able to walk from the Contemporary to the Magic Kingdom! I would just like to do it during the day, or with another person next time!
When I got back to Bay Lake Tower, I tried to get all of my stuff together for the next morning, and then I went to bed. I don't remember how I slept that night, I'm sure not very well since I didn't sleep well the entire trip, and I was also dreading flying the next day.
2/25 Departure Day
We woke up really early the next morning, packed all of our stuff, and went downstairs to the Contemporary to the Magical Express stop. There was a bus there, so we asked if we could go on that one, even though our official time was 20 minutes later or something, and the guy said no, we had to wait for the next bus. We didn't know how the ME worked, so we just assumed if there was a bus there, maybe we could take it, but it wasn't a big deal. So we sat and waited for the ME and it finally came. We loaded our luggage on and got on the bus and just sat there, letting the post Disney depression fully sink in.
We had to go to a few more stops before we were on the way to the airport, which seemed like it took forever, but it was nice that we were the first ones on the bus. They were playing Disney music, and that was the last thing I wanted to hear at that moment. I was excited to go home, because I wanted to see Brandon and my cats, but I had no idea when I'd be back to Disney, so I was severely depressed. I remember them playing "Listen to the Land" and I was in tears, I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to that song again, it's so upsetting!
We got to the airport and got in line at Southwest, where there was a huge line, and then we went over to security, where there was an even longer line. It's a good thing ME picks you up so early because the lines at MCO are getting ridiculous.
When we finally got to the table where you get a bin and put all of your stuff in it, a weird thing happened. We were at the end of the table, waiting for there to be room so we could get a bin to put our shoes and purses and things in. I was first, Caitlin was next to me, and Diane was last. There was this older lady next to me, just looking miserable. So she took 2 bins and put them on the table. One of them was empty so Caitlin went to take it to give me, and the lady grabbed it from Caitlin, yanked it out of her hand SO hard, and gave Caitlin this DEATH glare.
OMG.

I don't know how I kept my mouth shut and didn't flip out!! She wasn't trying to steal her bin, she just thought it was an empty one. So since she was taking her sweet time, I grabbed a bin and put it on the end of the table, and shoved her stuff down as hard as I could so we could have room. I was SO mad. I didn't want to do anything crazy like yell at someone in an airport security line, but come on, she's a kid, and she didn't do anything wrong, don't yank something out of her hand all hard and then glare at her like she was some monster. I'm not even sure she noticed me shove her stuff out of my way, if she did, she certainly didn't say anything to me, but I don't know how she could have missed it, I mean, I took my bin and shoved her 2 precious bins out of my way pretty hard. Oh well. Somehow Diane was oblivious to all of this and missed the whole interaction!
Once we got through security, we went on the fake monorail and went to Southwest. Our flight was overbooked and they were looking for volunteers to go home on the next flight and no one wanted to. Finally I think they found 2 people, but it took forever for them to let us on the plane.
It was a nice flight home, it seemed like it was really fast, and before I knew it we were back in miserable old Connecticut. Diane's DH drove us home from the airport since Brandon drove us there, and in about an hour, I was home. It was nice seeing Brandon and my cats, but I was so sad. Post Disney Depression, always nice to bring home with you!
So that's our trip! I hope you will stay tuned, because in a few days, I'm going to do a little trip wrap up and do a list of firsts and favorites, those kinds of fun things, so it's not the end yet!
Up next...Trip Wrap Up!
