buzz for boys

As expected we were up really early 3.30am!! The kids were so excited to be in Florida and were begging to go outside. So we got them to have a quick bit of cereal and get dressed.
We opened the doors to stand on the balcony and watch the sun rise.
We had an ADR at Crystal palace for 8.10 so at 7pm we piled into the car and headed for Magic Kingdom!! Another little detour as the TomTom was once again programmed wrong!! whoops!
We made it to Magic Kingdom at 7.40am and found that we couldnt carry on the tradition of going on the Ferry as only the monorail was working!! Still we all had smiles as we boarded the monorail!
We practically ran to the turnstiles and then down an empty main street to see this -
We were actually here and staring at my beloved castle!!
Every trip to Florida is a massive milestone to our family, theres always a good chance of not making it out to Florida and the walking up to the castle gives me a real sense of wow we achevied it again we are here!! I cant explain the feelings when looking at the castle and then down at the kids smiling back at me.The only way I can think of explaining it to someone else is that in my lifetime I want to make sure my children have more good memories than they do Bad and as the odds are stacked firmly towards bad memories at the moment ,standing looking at the castle makes the meter for Good zoom up that bit higher.
We posed for a few Photopass pictures and then I really wanted a picture of the kids holding hands looking at the castle. Well after a few stern words I finally get the kids to do as instructed minus the holding hands!!
Problem being that photo now makes the kids remeber I was Mean mom to make them standstill to take it!!
We then take Keira by the hand and ask the boys to turn around again before we run back down mainstreet towards Crystal Palace for breakfast. I shouted over my shoulder " Catch us if you can" as we ran !!
The boys took up a sprint laughing their heads off which made me feel a bit better about the stern words to get a photo!!
Crystal Palace was really busy and the food was amazing especially the raspberry crumble cake which I think Wayne ate a whole one to himself!!
The characters came and went really quickly in here but Keira was happy with the interaction.
Our server came over and presented me with a birthday cupcake so the kids sang Happy Birthday and then shared my cake !!!
We left Crystal Palace happy and instantly the humidity hit us again and I was thinking fast at where we can spend some time in Air conditioning. Keira piped up it had to be Buzz ride first because she had been invited by buzz to Florida to defeat Evil emperor Zurg and she wanted to let star command know she had arrived so thats where we headed!!
This is always a firm family favourite and it didnt disappoint. As we exited we could see Stitch so we quickly joined the line.
I thought Stitch was a tad sleepy this morning and really was disappointed that he just posed for a pic and signed their books no interaction at all even Cameron said Stitch must have been sad or missing Lilo and I had to agree.
We walked around to Chip and Dale and they made up for the poor interaction from Stitch. As we left them we spotted a cool down area and im sure the pace picked upto a sprint to get under the mist!! A very welcome cool down.
After a quick spin on the teacups Keira begged to go onto Its a small world the rest of us were shouting a resounding NOOOOOOOOOOO but as we didnt do the ride last trip I felt we owed it another chance.
About 10 seconds in Daniel shouted "Wake me up Im stuck in a nightmare!!!" We all howled with laughter but the people sharing our boat were very unamused!!
Walking past haunted Mansion we decided to give it a go and check out the new graveyard . The graveyard is fab but not sure its worth the extra wait if im honest. We got into the doom buggies and after a couple of minutes I heard Daniel scream a really shrill scream and I just thought pair of idiots messing around.
When we got off the ride Ben and Daniel were in hysterics it turns out at the first dark area Ben leaned over to Dan and whispered BOO in his ear making Dan scream with fright!!
Now every ride we had been on today had stopped for a few minutes and we were thinking we had really had enough and dare we try another - Cam and Kiera decided they really wanted to do Splash before we left! Dan didnt want to get wet and Ben was none to keen at the idea of a big drop!! So the 4 of us ventured onto splash leaving them ooohhing at a squirell in a nearby tree.
The ride stopped just as we were climbing the last drop - we sat and sat and sat for what seemed like ages but I have to say that we got wetter than we have ever got before when we finally dropped!!
Soaking wet we make our way out of Magic Kingdom to jump into the pool back at the villa.
After about an hour in the pool it started to rain and I could hear Thunder so I insisted the kids got out and we all go to Walmart to do a proper shop!!
Whilst inside Walmart there was a huge thunderstorm which saw Cameron going into what I can only describe as sensory overload, he was spinning and flapping and rocking and we just didnt really understand what it was all about until we came out and saw that we had missed a massive storm!! Storms affect him like that at home but we wrongly thought it was the noise. We calmed him down in the car and went back to the villa for Hotdogs.
Before long we were all asleep!!
