Hi
we are surprising our 2 sons ages 13, & 15 with a 3 night Disney Wonder cruise in Feb. Looking for an idea of how to give them the good news on Christmas Day. Ideas used before were a jigsaw puzzle with 2 pieces to open each day pre trip to make the final puzzle the day before sailing... Have searched on ebay for something maybe t'shirts to give them to open for the cruise?? Thanks for any help you can give.

I have a friend doing the same thing - surprising her 3 sons (9,12,17) with a February Wonder cruise for Christmas. I am going to pick up a small model of the ship for her so she can wrap it up and let them figure out what it is Christmas morning!

Let me know if you need something like that, I would be happy to pick it up for you too!

Do you want them to know right away on Christmas? Or, kind of like a Treasure Hunt? Hhhmmm??? writing that just made me think of like a pirate Treasure Map. Maybe some way to use a map of the cruise iteneray sketched (traced if necessary...) on parchment looking paper.

Right now on Ebay there are Captain Mickey Christmas ornaments. There are a set of two for like $10.00 or $12.00. Perfect Christmas ornament keepsake for Christmases to come!

Two nice T-shirts might be hard to come by.... (How about somebody here on the Dis who is about to cruise could get a couple for you onboard????)

Think about your two boys and what might make their eyes light up... What they are 'into'... Then maybe a good idea will come to you!

We are doing the 4 day in March for our 9 yr. old twins and I have ordered the planning video to give them to open Christmas Day. Thought they would get excited watching it on Christmas and in the following weeks!

Have a great trip!!

Last Christmas we surprised our 3 kids with the 4 night leaving on Jan 5. I put each of their tickets & Bon Voyage cards that I made on the computer in 3 different size wrapped boxes and left them in our room. When they were all finished opening the presents that were under the tree, I brought them out and had them open them at the same time. Confusion was rampant as the kids couldn't understand why the tickets for their DCL cruise in June were under the tree since they already knew about that. It was priceless to watch them finally read the tickets and understand that this cruise left in a week and was extra! Now I just have to figure out how to surprise them this time around since we're doing the same thing!

Hey you guys are great.
I just decided what to do. I am checking on ebay for a treasure chest. Will have a pirate map to start them on their hunt (maybe start with priates of caribbean DVD as 1st present) and different clues taking them around the house- each clue has a tiny present or surprise! and in the end they will find the treasure chest with the cruise surprise inside of it.. (countdown calendar) etc. This will be fun!!!!!!

Leaving on the 3 night Feb. 12th..anyone else??
Thanks
Chris Mitchell
