3 kids 2 dogs wife and myself!

Leaving home in about 20 minutes, we officially check in tomorrow. We will probably be in loop 300. Booked with DVC points and we have two Yorkies traveling with us. Looks like you all are having a great trip. It sounds similar to the way we vacation. Especially the afternoon naps LOL!

We taking a different approach today...slept in a little late and cooked breakfast. About to get dressed and head to typhoon lagoon.

Had some visitors at our camper this morning. Seem to be attracted to the dog food the puppy buried in the Pine needles

So I have a question about traveling with dogs. :) We don't have a camper but have been talking about renting one for a trip sometime and we have 3 dogs. How does it work going to the parks and leaving the dogs in the camper? Do you leave the A/C running? Are your dogs generally quiet while you're gone? I'd love to do this if I could just figure out the logistics! :dog:Staying at Ft Wilderness would be so much fun!

We have one dog that's a couple years old and a pup that's 4 months. We thought the new pup would help keep her company while we were gone at home as well as camping b/c she was so hyper when we got back...at least that's what they told me!

I'd say it depends on your dogs. There was a thread where someone said they heard a dog bark all the time and they didn't think you should bring pets and should just kennel them...we are gone from home for three weeks so we weren't going to do that...ours only barks when they hear us get back (hear our voices the vehicle or the door unlock) besides them not being completely house broken for the camper yet it's not too bad.

May want to check on if the camper rental company will let you as well

In April we took 2 of our dogs (more like our kids). Yes, keep your A/C on - we also open the vent in the bathroom incase the air cuts off. We never stayed gone longer than 3 to 4 hours. We wished we had let our Son keep them also (he kept our other dog). We are going back to the Fort arriving Jan 3rd thru Jan 16th. Our Son is keeping our dogs in Jan. Easier on us, but more so on them.

If you have never camped with your dogs, you might want to try them out locally first to see what their reaction would be to you leaving them alone in a strange unit!! You would hate to spend all that money and then they bark their heads off the whole time you're gone (it's also not allowed at Disney (or most campgrounds). To check them, you could always 'leave', then double back close enough to hear, but not be seen (having the blinds down is probably a good idea). Good luck!

Soooo lets see if I can get some more pictures to post tonight

Yesterday was another magic kingdom day and we pretty much stayed in fantasy land while we were there. Got a late start and came back in early afternoon. Did enchanted tails with belle, at at be our guest then did seven dwarfs mine train and met Anna and Elsa all with fast pass and reservations...did the other rides around that area also. Short days in the heat are a good option since we're here so long. Loved BOG the food was good, I didn't have to chop off my arm for a family of 5, and the decor was really cool.
Threw in some pics from Thursday as well. Woke up and cooked and visited by some turkeys. Went to typhoon lagoon the Went to downtown and checked out Disney quest to use a credit on our water parks and more passes (eh not too impressed)

I agree we brought ours a few times before but never for this long...I almost had two less dogs today! Got back and they escaped out their room and the pup chewed up a set of my blinds (yes the metal ones) in the living room. His only saving grace was that they were already broken and don't close right anymore and I was going to replace them anyway

Today we took a day off and slept in then went do a little back to school shopping for shoes since we will only be back a week before school starts. Then we went to play around of mini golf at Fantasia Gardens. And finished off the day with fireworks on the beach again

Pics look good. Thanks for taking the time to post them. Glad you got some of the wildlife up close and personal.

Thanks for the live TR. The pics are great and it sounds like you are having a good time.

Sounds like the first verse of a Good Ole Country Song.

So a little catching up while we're waiting for the delayed parade in magic kingdom due to the rain.

Sunday was supposed to be another lazy day. We did have beaches and cream reserved for and we got a kitchen sink!! Then we somehow wound up spending a few hours in downtown once my daughter said she wanted to dress like Tink and did souvenir shopping too. Then I started feeling bad. Not sure if it was the kitchen sink or something I ate Saturday but I'm finally getting over the affects of that today (Wednesday)

Monday I was feeling pretty rough in the morning but I sucked it up for our second day at Epcot. We did test track again with FP and got stuck right after we came in from the outside portion and had to get walked off the ride, but got fast passes to do it again. Then we did mission space and took a mid day break and came back to hit some of the countries and watch illuminations.

My wife even found a snack in Japan...a bag of small fries crabs...glad she liked them!

Tuesday we headed over to animal kingdom. Had FP for Kali and EE so we hit the safari first. I found out i planned way to much time there even when I moved the dinasour FP up to mid morning we still had to kill a couple hours waiting for our last two FP in the early afternoon.

Son enjoyed EE a lot more than we thought he would. I think he'll be a roller coaster guy yet!! (Can't post anymore pictures of AK...keeps telling me files are too large.

Earlier in the week I read that they were trying something new with fantastic...and it was the first day...you get a fast pass at the park the day you want to see it and they assign you a seat. So we caught the bus to HS and I ran in and got us seats...that allowed us to go back and grab a quick nap and dinner then go back later than usual to catch the show. Personally I like it...especially if they make it to where it would free up another FP (not like you need it for that park unless they get rid of the tiers there)

Ok parade is finally coming catch tall later!
