Hi all, I have enjoyed reading your dining reports over the years and even partly finished one myself a few years ago but got busy with work and kids. This time I'm determined to see it through :cheer2:. In a little more than 2 weeks me, my mom and DS 13 will be back at our happy place, Disney's Wilderness Lodge and we have lots of fun ADR's planned... however I keep changing them. I'm having a heck of a time making up my mind but for the time being this is the plan

Via Napoli
Roaring Forks (several times)
50's Prime Time Cafe
Starring Rolls
Yak and Yeti
The Wave
BOG lunch FP
Raglan Road (iffy on this one too due to DD construction)
Coral Reef
Columbia Harbor House
T-Rex
Biergarten
WPE
Pizzafari or Flame Tree
Boulangerie Patisserie
Sunshine Seasons
and several drinks and snacks along the way popcorn:::drinking1

We are on the dining plan. Mom and I aren't big eaters when its hot outside and thankfully share similar tastes so we plan on splitting a meal often. Have there been any changes at Via Napoli or do they still not allow sharing on the dining plan?.

We are so excited! 2 weeks can't pass quickly enough pixiedust:

Subscribing!!

You are going to many places that we are looking into for our trip next year. Can't wait to see your opinion on them!

We will be there too! Can't wait to hear all about your dining adventures!

Hi all, we're back!. We had a great trip and enjoyed some wonderful meals. I'm in the process of getting my pictures uploaded then I'll start our review.

8/10

We drove to Disney and along the way stayed the Courtyard McDonough. It was a nice hotel and very convenient to I-75. We had breakfast that morning and the hotels Bistro Cafe

ds had a fruit cup

mom had oatmeal with brown sugar, cranberries and walnuts

I had Special K with Berries and a banana

we enjoyed our stay and breakfast was basic but tasty.

hmm... look at what we watched while eating ;)

We made it to WL around 4pm and headed over to Epcot for our first ADR at Rose & Crown. We had a reservation at Via Napoli but changed it at the last minute when a better time at R&C became available. It was our first time here. I love the ceiling.

I started with a Black and Tan. Half Bass Ale and Half Guinness. I loved this. It was perfect combination of flavors.

Mom and ds both had soft drinks

For entree's mom and I split Fish and Chips - "Rose & Crown's Signature Dish" - Beer-battered and served with House-made Tartar . We both enjoyed the homemade tarter sauce. The fish was hot, juicy and crispy. The fries were your typical Disney fries but yummy when I soaked them in vinegar.

ds had Grilled New York Strip Steak and Fried Fish - with Yorkshire Pudding, Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, and Red Wine Sauce. He enjoyed the steak. I had a bite and it was perfectly cooked with good flavor. The Yorkshire Pudding stumped us as we both thought it was tasteless. :confused3. He subbed fries for the mashed potatoes

for dessert mom had Mandy's Mess - Pound Cake with Seasonal Fruit. She loved this dessert.

Ds and I shared Sticky Toffee Pudding. I wanted so much to like it but this was my least favorite dessert of the entire trip. I love toffee but I didn't taste much of it. The texture was strange too, it was almost like a stale muffin. :crazy2:

Overall we liked our meal and would return again (minus the Sticky Toffee pudding lol)

We just happened to be walking by the Writers Stop when I remembered they sold the Carrot Cake cookie that I've drooled over on this board. It was cold out of the case but once it warmed up :cool1:

DS got a blue raspberry Goofy Glacier in a Olaf cup. He liked it but on such a hot day it melted pretty quickly

oops.. sorry, I forgot about breakfast that day. These are going to be a bit out of order as I'm having a hard time remembering what we did each day.

breakfast 8/11

I had the oh so exciting

mom ate her oatmeal that she brought from home... The winner is DS with his amazing chocolate chip waffles
had the same breakfast 5 out of 7 morning. :confused3

Great beginning!! Looking forward to reading the rest of your reviews! I smiled when you said that you and your Mom were going to be splitting. My Mom and I do that ALL of the time. We are not big eaters either and unless we are going straight back home after eating, I don't want to carry leftovers around.

Thanks for following along. We did the dining plan and I had forgotten how much food it was . Sharing worked pretty well and we didn't get any pushback or attitude from our servers which I was worried about.

Lunch 8/11

I can't find my pictures from this lunch :rolleyes2 but wanted to review it anyway because we enjoyed it so much. We had an 11:30am adr at 50's Prime Time Cafe. We love this place and its on our list of must do's every trip. This was our 5th time here and it didn't disappoint. Our server was polite and efficient, but wasn't joking around like some of the servers around us were. It was fine, we were hot, hungry and tired.

DS started out with a Strawberry Milkshake which was huge and he enjoyed it quite a bit. For his entree he had A Sampling of Mom's Favorite Recipes - Crispy-fried Chicken, Fork Tender Pot Roast, and Traditional Meatloaf with all the fixing. He enjoyed it but stuck mostly with the fried chicken. He was too full for dessert.

Mom and I split the Sampling as well. The winner was the Pot Roast. Wow was this good. I think when we go back I will just order the Pot Roast. We split the Pot Roast but mom ate the Fried Chicken and I ate the Meatloaf.

For Dessert I had the 50's Boston Cream Parfait - layers of chocolate fudge, vanilla cream, and pound cake topped with whipped dream. I could only eat 1/2 of this but it was very good. Its not something I would normally order but I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Mom had Traditional Warm Apple Crisp - A la mode. She loved it.

This was another great meal at 50's and we will be back again.

Dinner 8/11

We had dinner that evening at another one of our favorite's, Wolfgang Puck Express. When we arrived around 8:30pm the line was out the door and we waited approx 40 minutes to order but it was worth it.

I started with a glass of sauvignon BLanC, WoLfgang PuCk Private LaBeL, CaLifornia 2011.

which went perfectly with my entree. Barbecued Chicken - Grilled Red Onions, Cilantro, Roasted Tomatoes, Smoky Barbecue Sauce.

Mom had one of her favorite sandwich's ever. Roasted Vegetable -
Fresh Mozzarella, Zucchini Tapenade, Arugula, Roasted Tomatoes, Eggplant - Served with Herb Seasoned French Fries

DS had Fennel Sausage - Pesto, Roasted Peppers, Mozzarella .

DS had vanilla chocolate swirl ice cream for desert but mom and I couldn't eat another bite. We were all happy with our choices and ate much more than we should have. ;)
