Yep! We are HOME!!! Flight was pretty smooth, DME was not too bad, maybe 15 minute wait. Bus was hilarious. OKW was the first drop off and at check in everything went great too.

The room is beautiful. I love the refurb. But I love blue. I know some are disappointed in the changes, but I am not. This is so lovely.

We are experiencing a torrential downpour. :rotfl: Welcome to Florida! Does anyone know what county we are in? Or what channel is the Weather Channel? We are watching the golf on Wesh 2 (:cloud9: we're really here:cloud9:) but they are just listing the counties and I'm not sure where WDW is in relation to the map. Not a big deal.

As soon as the weather clears, we are heading to MK to see our Castle. Hope you're having fun reading along with us. I know I enjoy reading along with others when I'm at home. :goodvibes

This is best surprise trip ever!!!

Love everything so far. We just got back, the showers won't last long. I'm settling in to enjoy the rest of your trip. Besides, this grammy needs to start collecting ideas for my DGD.

Sounds wonderful and wow, you have really done alot of planning to make it special. I am so curious, what did you do for the older kids for their special entrance to teens and how in the world do you top this for a Sweet 16 and Graduation?

Have a great trip and can't wait to see photos.

You're in Orange County, southwest of the city of Orlando. WESH will give you MUCH more accurate weather than the Weather Channel.

The weather is going to be partly sunny and somewhat cooler for Sun-Friday next week with lows in the 60s. The storms were a front passing through, but it's basically 20% probability of rain next week. The summer thunderstorm season hasn't really arrived yet, but get ponchos if you don't already have them.

THanks, Jim. During the storm, WESH was showing which counties were under the different warnings, just didn't now which was us. And being from the midwest, I know how quickly it can turn to a tornado warning. Just like to have the info, so thank you so much. :thumbsup2 Feels like a nice week coming.

I have tried to post about yesterday three times but keep getting kicked off the internet. Feels like a time limit thing. So sorry, you're getting the short version!

Dinner at Liberty Tree was delish. We were laughing at ourselves, not sure if we were so hungry that our standards were lower or if it really was the best food since last Thanksgiving. We decided it was truly just a good dinner. My favorite was the turkey, followed by the apple cobbler.

Question for all of you: are these rooms equipped with special sensors that know when people leave the room and raise the temp? Every time we come home, the room is hot and stuffy, but cools off in 5 minutes. It's still set where we want, too. I know we are no imagining this, I just can't explain it! What else do they know about us? Nevermind, don't answer that!!!!!

Today was Epcot. We started slow and had breakfast at Olivia's. We have to go back because our waiter reminded DD of Buddy Valastro from Cake Boss and now she's decided she wants her photo with him. :goodvibes Tuesday, I think for that.

First things first, fastpasses for Soarin for 5:40. No problem, we had lots to do. Couldn''t get any takers for the butterfly garden -we have one at the Omaha zoo and they have lots of spiders above where you walk. But we did find the little shed thing they built on that HGTV show from last years Flower and Garden Festival. DD loved that.

It was quite warm today. Mom needed a place to take a break and sit. Not anywhere to do that. Then I remembered how close the Beach Club is to UK. Still a long walk but the ac was nice. Grabbed some fresh water bottles and sat in the solarium for an hour. Refreshed, we headed out to Japan for dinner at Teppan Edo.

All I can say is wow! That was so amazing and fun!! We all had filet mignon and it was melt in your mouth wonderful. Photos to come, I promise. We ended our day picking pearls and making different pieces of jewelry. My mom is addicted to this activity. No really. She is!!

Well, I'm the only one who need a shower and boy do I. That's all for tonight.

Tomorrow we will try to see the Space Shuttle launch before heading to MK again.

Love following your trip on the boards - and Herman's Hermits must have been very fun! I hope you continue to have a great trip. Looking forward to hearing more details on Saturday!

Kris

Two quick side notes:

1. Gotta get me one of those shower heads. :rotfl:

2. I could seriously stay at OKW for months. It's more than a few years away, but we do dream of retiring and spending extended periods of time at WDW. BCV is my favorite vacation resort so far, but OKW is a place that feels like more of a retreat. Someone to clean my room every 4 days and all the Diet Coke I can drink? Sign me up.

Yeah! You found me!! ;) Yes, more details to come!

And yes, Herman's Hermits was very fun to see!! My mom knew every single word of every single song. I knew more than I thought I would but she really had fun. And they said it was something like their 111th show at Epcot over the years? What a fun gig. I was thinking the same thing about Off Kilter tonight when I was listening to them. I'm gonna get an Off Kilter CD this trip. I wonder which one is good. Probably all!

Tuning in a bit late but everthing has been awseome so far, so glad that your trip is wonderful. Can't wait to read more! :goodvibes

Forgot to mention that yesterday we asked at the front desk about the best place, if any, to view the Space Shuttle if it launches on time. They gave us a map of the resort with an arrow pointing where to look. I thought that was nice. So we are headed out to the bridge to view the last launch!!!

Will finish this at home. Two magical days yesterday and today. Can't wait to share the details. Plus, we did three parks today!! A bus (maybe 3), a monorail, 2 boats and finished the day off with our feet in the hot tub. I never knew the bottom of the OKW lighthouse was a sauna! :rotfl:

Heading home tomorrow. Will also go back and add photos this week.

Best trip ever. At least until next time. :goodvibes

Herman Hermit's was one of the best Flower Power concerts I've ever seen. Too bad that I can't go in May any more. They seem to end the series.

It sounds like you had a wonderful time!!!!:goodvibes

Thanks for the Trip Report. I have really enjoyed it, and await more:surfweb:. I went to SSR with my sisters last fall, and that was when i really "got" that this is all about memories. We need to treasure these times. Major pixie dust time.pixiedust:pixiedust:
