Thanks!

The only buffet I saw late night was on pirate night, I could have sworn they usually did one on the formal night but I don't recall seeing or hearing about one.

They do not do the dessert buffet anymore. Instead they had a few servers in the atrium on semi-formal night around 11:00 with trays of small desserts. We just happened to be walking through and saw them. I did not see it listed and we were not told about it.

Thank you Everyone for the compliments on the photos!
Yes & No. Yes, it's the camera I used, I have a Canon DSLR that I only use in manual mode so I can control the images more in camera so that the only editing I have to do, if any, is just a little adjustment here or there in photoshop, I don't use photobucket editing for anything. I have a bachelors degree in Fine Art with a minor in Photography so it's actually hard for me to shoot things for fun, I get lazy and try to enjoy the vacation then when I get home I get annoyed I didn't take more photos :lmao:

Love the report and your photos are really good. What lens did you use? I have a Canon DSLR as well and I'm trying to decide which to take. Were some of yours taken with a macro?

Can't wait to see/read the rest! Thanks for sharing...:)

No macro lens - I have one but I didn't bring it.
I packed:
- fisheye aka rokinon 8mm - mainly for landscapes, fun shots, and tight spaces (ie. the room!)
- nifty fifty aka 50mm f1.8 - never actually used it - it stayed in the room safe the whole trip :rolleyes1
- 28mm f1.8 - only left my camera for about 30 minutes the entire trip - it was the perfect no hassle walk around lens for me.

Thank you both for the replies. I will have a disappointed 9yo niece!!! She loved sneaking out to the chocolate buffet on our RCL cruise. Hopefully the little desserts at 11 will be enough for her sweet tooth!!

There was a bunch of desserts put out in the promenade lounge I noticed (not sure if it was every night but the few nights I was there they had a spread) nothing overly spectacular but there was cheesecake, chocolate covered strawberries and even some little sandwiches. You could always call room service and have a cookie and milk delivery every night before bed :thumbsup2

Oh I already told her about the warm cookies and milk at night!!! I think my dad is excited for that as well. But thanks for the heads up!

We leave a week from tomorrow and am reallllly getting excited looking at your pictures and reading your trip report! Thank you so much.

It's awesome that you got a room upgrade!

The buttons from Guest Services, do you just ask for them?

Did you drive in and park or take car service? We've been back and forth, but thinking we will park (and if you did, where did you park - the pier rate is ridiculous)?

I, like you have been planning this for a year...and guess what; I've packed nothing yet, haven't made my FE (fabric has been in the bag for two months), and still deciding on new camera...I work well under pressure...lol!

Is that all? Such a great trip report I don't want it to end!

We board 8/25, and I'm so anxious for that day to get here. Thanks for helping me pass the time!

Yea, we were really happy just to get out of the room that smelt and was leaking water - we figured it was just another inside cabin but nope veranda! now i'm afraid i won't want to ever travel in an inside stateroom again :lmao:

The buttons from Guest Services, do you just ask for them?
YES! Just ask. The guy we asked just pulled out a bucket and said take what you need, we didn't want to be greedy but I did want wedding and engaged ones for a few upcoming events & I got really excited and took the "i lost a tooth" button because i've never seen it before and thought it would be adorable for my baby cousin (from this report) when she finally loses a tooth! I wasn't too happy however because I had asked for "just engaged" ones which were the main ones we wanted/needed - but the lady said to come back because we were still at the port and they restock them on port days - we came back just in time to watch one lady take 10 of them!! I was pretty bummed because they didn't get anymore the whole cruise. I did get the WDW "just engaged" ones on our park day but it wasn't the same

We took a car service from long island - spartan, i believe it was called.

I think that's what my problem was this trip - I had OVER a year to plan - I'm used to a year of planning because with our DVC we book the BWV a year in advanced but for some reason I just couldn't get into planning this trip, it was manly because the last time I was on a cruise was 11 years ago and I was in a kids club - I wasn't sure what kind of activities they had for adults and what would be offered because it was new sailings so there wasn't much to look into because you never know whats actually being offered til you're there and the packing was all very last minute - which is not normal for me! :rotfl2:

All answers are in red :goodvibes

Unfortunately we're almost at the end :sad1: only the morning of debarktion left and a post of funny things we saw while on board and things we'd do again and not do again and the status of my heart after watching a little boy (no more than 3) scale the grand staircase in the atrium while his parents just filmed it and the crew staff tried to pry him off the railing :sad2:
