3 days - Deciding on parks with young kids

Hey there. We are headed to Disney the 1st week of December. We have 3 days allocated to the Disney World . Our boys are 6 and 3. We went about a year ago and did 2 1/2 days at Magic Kingdom (2 days we left by 1:00 and another after the afternoon parade) and 1 day at Animal Kingdom. This time our plan is Epcot the 1st day, (morning at future world - hotel for a rest then late afternoon / night at the world showcase) Magic Kingdom the 2nd day (stay till after FF parade) and last day Animal Kingdom. I am now wondering if I should skip future world at Epcot and do Magic Kingdom for a few hours the 1st morning (morning EMH) instead and just hit the world showcase after our rest. We are particularly excited to see the storytellers and buy some holiday treats. So... what are your thoughts? Skip Epcot future world for a extra few ours at MK or keep it as is?

I will also add that we are staying on property and spending the 1st 2 days at parks, then taking a rest (resort/ Disney Springs) day , then doing AK and then heading to Legoland to stay their new hotel and spending out last day at Legoland.

Keep in mind - you are paying an additional 200 dollars for your family to hop....I don't see the value if you hop once. And hopping more than once is to time consuming.
It's difficult to decide which parks to do but, it depends on what your boys interests are.
Take a long look at what there is to do at future world for your boys. Probably not too much ?
My daughters favorite other resort was always Epcot. And still is. I could easily do 2 days in MK.
AK gets hot and exhausting and we don't really enjoy the animals there ( that's just us) your kids may love seeing animals. We stayed at AKL once for 10 days. We saw our fill of animals there.

I probably didn't help much.
I guess my thought is that you should just nail down 3 resorts and save the 200 dollars on LEGOS !

I would not skip Epcot. But do keep in mind that it can be hard to do future world in just a day - forget about doing both. So make sure to prioritize.

Epcot was my kids favorite park at those ages. That's for all three of them! (And we didn't even make it over to the World Showcase on the first few trips).

We have the military salute tickets and they automatically include the park hopper option. I am leaning toward spending 2 - 3 hours in the morning at Magic Kingdom, having nap and then heading to Epcot around 3 or so to do the Seas Pavilion and then see as much of the World Showcase that we can before illuminations. We won't be able to use FP at MK that morning as we are using it for illuminations in Epcot that night but MK has morning EMH so I am hoping we can get several rides in during the first hour and then maybe check out the shops, main street vehicles and the and ride the train (my boys love trains). We will have to next full day at MK and I am hoping doing a few the first morning will keep that day from feeling rushed.

Well, how much are your little ones into sea creature? The last time we went - my DD was 3 yr 9 months- and we spent about 2 - 3 hours at the seas pavilion. She had recently had a month on the sea at her preschool so she loved seeing all the sea creatures. Also the Turtle show and the ride. I was not expecting to allocate that kind of time there but it worked for us because it was pretty terrible weather.

Oh wow - my kids love sea creatures but it did not occur to me that area would take that much time. Something to consider for sure.

I wouldn't skip Epcot! Our one year olds favorite ride was Figment when we went two weeks ago

No plans to skip Epcot, just maybe most of Future World. We would like to do the seas pavilion, maybe mission space and hit some highlights in World Showcase. I am just hoping to be able to fit that all in from 3 in the afternoon till close.

Personally I would use the time at MK and I am a HUGE EPCOT nerd but depending on your kids ages and what they like, there is not as much for mind to do in FW. My daughter loves the Seas but we still usually spend less than an hour in there and my son loves Test Track. But other than that not too much. I would spend the time there mostly in WS, it's my favorite.
