This will be our fourth trip with the last being June 2014. We have always gone in June during grad nights and have always had 3 day park hoppers. This year we are going March 5th (arrival day/evening) and have our park days as the 6th, 7th and 8th. Crowd wise what am I getting myself into? Better than June? Last time we used our park hoppers maybe three times and only because rides were down in DCA (we enjoy DL much more). I am tempted to do four day base tickets and go into DL on arrival evening to catch PTN and sneak on a few rides as they close at 12 am that day.

I guess I am scared of not having the park hoppers and getting stuck in DCA on day where the rides we enjoy most are down. Does anyone have any insight? Anyone get 1 park/day days and regret it?

Everyone's style is different. We like going to both parks every day. But if you can get more time out of not hopping but going 4 days then that sounds great. I think it's just about being honest with your priorities.

We are park hoppers too. When the crowds get too much for us, or if too many rides are down, we will hop to the other park to have a bit of fun.

Im the opposite.. i never park hope and always just do base tickets. but i have 4 small children so it takes us awhile to get through things !!

We would never consider not hopping. We'll pop between parks if one gets too busy or we just feel the urge.
Also, DCA is a nice park but there's nothing like returning to the original after spending a few hours there.

I wonder though if a person could add another single non-hopping day after three days of hopping. if you could the price would be minimal.

I'm another fan of park hopping regardless of the group (all adults or with little ones). My groups tend to like to park hop because it gives us more flexibility in what we're going to do each day. We do tend to spend large blocks of time in each park (i.e., morning in DCA then hop to DL in the mid-afternoon), but we visit each park at least once per day. So while we don't park hop frequently, we do park hop at least once per day making it worthwhile for us to get hoppers.

They could add another day to their three-day park hopper ticket for $25 (3-day PH is $275 and a 4-day PH is $300 on Disneyland.com), but it would be a fourth day with park hopping.

Definitely park hop. You may want to see some of the shows but for whatever reason miss them. If you hop you can go back another day/time and see. And crowds won't be insane like June but expect some crowd since it is spring break for many places.

Thanks for the answer.
Still, $25 for a day at DLR has got to be the bargain of a lifetime.

I understand why so many people hop, but we're non-hoppers here :) it's true, everyone is different.

Maybe we will take a different approach to touring once our kids are a little older. But for now, we like to explore a park a day. We do 5 days so that maybe be a factor. if we did less, we'd be more likely to consider hopping
