3 day/3 parks ticket PLUS MNSSHP?

we just decided on a last-minute Disney vacation at the end of August because our good friends from another country will be there at the same time. We go to Disney pretty much every year or two. Last year we were at Disneyland. I’m thinking about getting the three day three park ticket package because it’s such a great deal and I just noticed that it said that Magic kingdom is excluded. So then I was thinking maybe I would do that package but then also do tickets to the Halloween party (we plan on staying for 5 days so we can enjoy the resort and not be rushed) Do you think that we would be able to get in enough rides from four to midnight? My kids are older -10, 15, 17.

Clarifying - You're asking if you buy the 3 day ticket plus MNSSHP would 4PM - midnight give you enough time to do the MK rides?

If that is your question, yes, I think that would give you time to do most/all of the MK rides but, it also means you're missing the MNSSHP options. Would you be okay with that? Would the kids want to add trick or treating and any of the shows/parades/fireworks? It really depends on how much of the party extras you also hope to fit into those 8 hours. You still have a good amount of time but it's not necessarily and easy yes/no answer.

Something else to be aware of, not all attractions are open during the party so things like Jungle Cruise and others you would need to fit in in the 4-6 hours.

A completely different option (and you would need to run the prices) would be getting the 3 day ticket plus a 1 day MK ticket for the party day instead of the party ticket. MK is notoriously quieter on party days so you can get a lot done during the day on a party day. This option would require comparing the price of a 1 day ticket to the price of a MNSSHP ticket.

This is what we did on our trip in August. I had an AP at the time, but my traveling companion purchased the 3-day/3-park ticket and we both purchased tickets for MNSSHP. We had some weather issues that impacted our MNSSHP but the rest of it turned out fine.

Like PP said, there will be some things you'll need to prioritize during the 4-6 window if they interest you (and also prioritizing party-specific things), but depending on what you want to do in MK you should be ok.
